@Cantrip Rhand has been tunnelled on me most of toDay and has throw every little thing back at me. He's either scum or in a horrible tunnel and I'm frustrated trying to defend myself to him.
I didn't want to lynch a low poster earlier in the phase, but at this stage I will happily lynch AG if it means I get a chance to survive.
Are you so determined to lynch this one scum that you're not willing to wait a Day and see if they can confirm themselves? There's more than one scum in the game, dude.
Proving that he can be untargetable for a night doesn't prove that he is town. The question mark is still gonna be there. And there are so many things that could go wrong, unless we have every person with a targeted role plan on targeting him, it's feasible that no one would actually target him. And if we have a targeted role claim, then scum just kills them, so in order to ensure we actually verify that he even has that ability, we have to take incredibly sub optimal actions, and even then it doesn't mean he's town. It's a one shot, so yeah, it's cool if it's real, but it's also not the end of the world if we lose it.
The situation of a targeted role claiming shouldn't get killed since they would be included in Grapefruit's ability.
I willing to switch to Terry. I'm basically only voting AG because he's the biggest counterwagon and I always find him scummy, so if it's going to be a shot in the dark, it might as well be him. Shrug. Grape and Hunt should be off the table for /Today/.
On a related note, do scum usually have daychat here?
Im down for Terry, and usually not in a normal game that I've seen.
Are you so determined to lynch this one scum that you're not willing to wait a Day and see if they can confirm themselves? There's more than one scum in the game, dude.

huh, didn't actually think of that.
Alright, if we keep him alive, I've got a targeted ability.
Screw it, let's see this go down unvote, vote Terry
I could have worded that much better. "If someone claims the ability to target, Grapefruit can include them in his ability and therefore keep them alive."
I could have worded that much better. "If someone claims the ability to target, Grapefruit can include them in his ability and therefore keep them alive."
yeah, it made sense.
Grapefruit, save me from death.
@shadow: Seriously? I don't even have anything to defend myself againt. I literally have no clue why you are going after me. Did you just spin a wheel or something? Was it because I didn't like the way you sounded in one of your posts?
@shadow: Seriously? I don't even have anything to defend myself againt. I literally have no clue why you are going after me. Did you just spin a wheel or something? Was it because I didn't like the way you sounded in one of your posts?
I've openly said I think you're fairly scummy for a while now. Why not mention something prior to now?
Lynching AG gives us more time to sort out Hunt/Cyan because I'm pretty sure there is scum between them. Still leaning Hunt, but that was enough to not eat the noose today.
Why Cyan and Hunt?
Because I think there is likely one scum between them. I thought it was Hunt, but his claim and behaviour recently has given me pause.
Why do you think it has to be one or the other? I am not understanding why it is a dichotomy.
Terry is lean scum, I'm seeing a lot of the same types of posts from him that made him seem scummy in the early/later parts of Avalon. He's also pretty solid at bussing, and the interaction between him and Cyan has a hint of scum/scum to it (cyan "While your push is stupid, it seems like a townie push"), so while I think cyan is fairly null, a scum flip from Terry would make me delve a little harder into cyan's posts.
This is the only post of your entire ISO that you express any cocern about my alignment. Read it. No really read it. It's all hearsay and super vague meta, that if other people go back and read the ONE game I've played here, they will see that as far as a meta case goes it's pretty shaky. Let me rephrase this case by you:
A. Shaky Meta
B. He's solid at bussing
C. He seems like he's bussing Cyan
D. Cyan called him town
E. I (shadow) think Cyan is Null
F. If Terry is scum than Cyan might be scum
So you think I'm scum because you think I'm bussing someone that is null to you. Look at Avalon, was DV ever someone that looked Null to you? So you called me scum for no reason other than bad meta and that you think my scuum-hunt on Cyan is a bus?
@Cantrip Rhand has been tunnelled on me most of toDay and has throw every little thing back at me. He's either scum or in a horrible tunnel and I'm frustrated trying to defend myself to him.
I didn't want to lynch a low poster earlier in the phase, but at this stage I will happily lynch AG if it means I get a chance to survive.
You jumped off Hunt onto AG when the Hunt wagon was still growing and yours was declining.
Can you stop making stuff up now?
KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.
Too 3 town, Mindreaver (proof and stuff), Gruffin, Cantrip.
AG is town to you?
This whole shadow attack on me feels like a distraction for either of the top 2 right now. I plan on going back and re-reading Shadow's interaction with AG and Hunt VERY carefully tomorrow to see which one he's trying to save.
@grape: Like it was said, I'd like you to target Mindreaver tonight. This way, mafia can't RB Mindreaver's ability that will confirm him as town, unless they RB you (and if they RB you, they can't RB Mindreaver). (Though, feel free to ignore this if we end up getting lucky and lynch Mafia RB today.)
Shadow's taking care of testing Grape's ability, so that's fine too... I guess I'm not really needed here at the moment.
Also: My top 3 towns are {Rhand, Gruffin, Mindreaver}. No idea about the scum, though I have my doubts about Cyan...

Not if? Let's me clear, are you OMGUSing me right now?
I think AG has done nothing scummy. And he's voiced thoughts about the game I've had myself.
Regarding the post above you quoted, I thought I'd put more about you, but finding myself at a loss for stronger scum reads, you drop down. Not a strong scum read by any stretch, but the strongest I have. This game feels like a giant group of fighting town to me.

I never denied that. I went off because he struck me as towny after his claim and with Fulcrum promising to do his thing I wanted to wait and see. At the time I was not worried about getting lynched as I figured my claim would alleviate any push that might come my way
Would I rather have a stronger lynch than AG, absolutely. But I don't and he's my best choice to survive and not lynch a claimed PR.
@GJ I don't think their interaction has been t/t. Their interactions starting around 519 are strongly unaligned and indicate scum Hunt. I'm willing to wait and see if we can get more info though because if Hunt is town I can see scum Cantrip worlds pretty easily. He was posting about Hunt being scummy but not making a strong case for it. And once someone else (me) made a larger case Cyan went all in and started providing more insight.
Your scumread of AG is based on Hunt being scum.
You leave the Hunt wagon to vote AG with Hunt.
Your behavior makes no sense. With that worldview, town!you would've stayed on Hunt and pushed for that lynch, BP claim or not. Especially since the link you made between those two only works in one direction.
You really have no scum suspects that don't rely on Hunt being scum that you could have voted instead at that point?

I really, truly don't see how scum Grapefruit makes this post, unless Hunt is also scum. There is just no way that a scum that knows they ran up a townie is going to stop someone and say 'hey ****er give me credit for that town wagon!'
GP can be scum, but only if Hunt is scum. AG can be scum either way, but it makes the most sense..if Hunt is scum.
Deadline is in 6 hours. Hunt is today's lynch, period. If I'm wrong someone can vig me, IDGAF.
You said you were way of the mind wagon because you were scum reading two people on it. Why does it concern you that scum may be on the wagon, since bussing is a thing.
(You were talking to Cyan here)
Why is it decent when I do it, but not Cyan?
---
I’d rather keep my vote on Hunt at this point. Grape’s claimed role is powerful and (probably?) self-resolving as the game goes on, and Huntz role is both virtually useless now that he’s claimed and could go either way in addition to his behavior being scummy. Huntz has also posted enough that we’ll be able to read interactions post-flip.
@fulcrum I’d be more likely to trust these mechanical reasons if I had a solid read on you. Unfortunately, I do not. Why should I trust a last minute vague request from a null read?
If Huntz is off the table for everyone, then I’ll switch to AG to secure a lynch as a last resort. Not going to join the SJT wagon.
There's a point to be made about playing the long game. What does waiting a Day to figure the claims out and lynching someone who is either scum or a likely mislynch down the line anyway cost? At worst, it gives a mafia pr an extra night and delays game solving a bi, while giving extra interactions with that scum to be analyzed. At best, it helps lock down the game. Mafia is about winning in the end, not trying catching one scum.

he was annoyingly career about it. I saw no such thing from you. Granted I'm also town reading you so maybe that's playing a part in why.
Fyi guys I'm also town reading ag atm(lean) but I see no other viable options. Like, I'm almost willing to lynch grape dispute fulcrum, because I think he's scum buy the way she came in seems genuine.

Shadow has a point about Grape confirming his role not being the same thing as clearing himself, but the defensive capabilities seem townsided, unless we have a vig/cop combo or something similar.

@Bur No promises on who I target but I have some ideas floating around.
And thanks for the top 3. Clarifying question do you see me as scummy or do you see Rhand as town regardless of my alignment?
Quoting my notes: "Mindmeld is real and Rhand is town." I've had several moments in this game where someone has said something that made me want to ask them certain questions and then see that Rhand already noticed the same thing and asked those questions. So, regardless of your alignment.

Well, if the scum team has something like a role cop or roleblocker, then Grape's ability becomes very useful for town. Conversely, if town has a cop, tracker or vig, Grape's to block them would be if it the scum. Tl:Dr I'm setup gaming a but and this should probably be ignored.

I doubt that town vig/cop/tracker would try to target Mindreaver or grapefruit tonight...
Especially now that he claimed, but using any of those abilities on Mindreaver makes no sense. (I could've seen someone trying to cop/track Grapefruit in this game, but knowing Proph we probably don't even have a cop.)
