But...you originally said it was "interesting, but lean town [on Shadow]". So now you're saying that you originally didn't like it, but now that you've looked at it again, you like it and you (again/still) think Shadow is town? Wut?
The post initially piqued my interest, but still seemed mostly town to me; while I didn't like everything about it, I did feel that the questions and the intentions they presented came across as more town, whereas his Vaimes view was only moderately scummy to me initially (in a buddying kind of way), and upon review, not really much a tall.
@Ghosting: you're lean scum on my T/S because you want to pick sides in what I think is a town vs town discussion. You're not in the bottom because I agree with your posts on omega.
1) Did I specifically pick sides, or was I just presenting my reads?
2) If I think a player is scum, and another is town, is that "picking sides"?
3) Did I not specifically mention the possibility of them both being town, which in fact would be the opposite of picking sides?
4) If I was picking sides, why is that scummy of me?
Another question for you, but on a different note: excluding Rodemy and Ophidia, and any discussion related to them, what do you think the scummiest posts/players are so far? How do you feel those posts/players relate to the Rodemy/Ophidia dichotomy (which could be town/town, scum/scum, town/scum, etc.).
@Ghosting:
1) You were presenting your view of the Rodemy / Rhand situation.
2) Your post read to me as you wanting exactly one of us to be scum.
3) Your question to Vaimes shows that you were not really interested to get two townclears out of that situation.
4) It isn't in a vacuum. I'm not sure how to explain, but in this particular fight, it's opportunistic.
Extra question: that's all in my t/s post? Omega and D_V are most scummy. I think Rodemy and Ophidia are both town and not a dichotomy.
These questions of yours drop you more on my scumlist. Most of it is rethoric and phrased in such a way that you can jump on whatever answer I give to them.
Can you point me to your last scum and town games please?

I think my conflict with Rodemy is resolved, and with strong town reads on both of us, your statement on our relations is strange.
I don't even really know how to describe it, but that Ghosting post has such a different, awkward tone compared to literally all of his other posts. Like "hey I'm totally scum and I'm gonna joke about being scum, but I'm sooo not scum, right guys? ha ha ha."

My question to Vaimes specifically asks if he thinks both players could be town, and is me trying to understand how he feels about players -- these kinds of questions get me better insight later on with who's town/scum because I feel forcing people to answer questions and provide detailed reads is one of the most useful things we can do as town; it's certainly helped me have pretty good reads in my most recent games.
Are you aware I ask questions like this as town, scum, and neutral? And also have been called out on it by various players, as all alignments, and also defended by players of all alignments. I feel that it allows me to get answers that aren't just one sentence. I want more information from people, because as town, information is something we need to win.
For reference, when I use the term dichotomy, I simply mean the relationship between two players -- the two players can totally be town, and I've suggested from the start that I think both players are in fact town.
I'll look when I'm on my computer which will be fairly soon, I know in the James Bond mafia I was neutral and helping town, that's a good example of my town game even though I'm neutral. In all honesty though I try to play town and scum almost identically, or at least that's my goal. I do tend to get really lazy as scum because I know everything about the game and feel less motivated to figure it out, instead relying on other ways to win, whereas when I'm town I tend to be proactive unless my role's already been revealed and everyone thinks I'm town, at which point I also get lazy; this is definitely something I should probably work on.
@D_V: I feel like your #201 is you coming in to defend your buddy, and then saying you have more opinions, but in reality you don't. I do believe you haven't devoted much time to the game, but the timing of the post and what you said seem a little off to me. When you're ready to share your opinions, could you expand on your r_O read?
These may not be the best examples, I just found the first three I saw lol, so you're welcome to look for more if need be. I think my most recent I've been scum/neutral/neutral though, and then the one town Ace Attorney. I have a few off site as town and scum though, but that site moves a lot faster so it may be hard to compare.

Except as scum you force people to commit early in the game and can use that against them if they change their mind later.

Thank you for choosing
Rodemy Pizza
It’s not the best choice, but it’s a choice nonetheless
Except as scum you force people to commit early in the game and can use that against them if they change their mind later.
Except, I wasn't forcing anyone, and I called both players town. I wasn't pushing for either lynch, I asked if he thought they could both be town, etc. People are allowed to change their mind -- I frequently do and make sure to explain myself -- and should have no problems with people doing so as long as it's backed with reason and isn't out of nowhere or for malicious reasons. Interactions give us information, and what people say at different points of the game absolutely can lead to them being scum, just as it could lead to them being down. Being against the propagation of information, which is all we have to work with, isn't really beneficial to the gamestate.
As hinted at in my post, Rhand is the player I'm most suspicious of right now. Not really fond of how his position on the Rodemy wagon right now, and am planning on reading more into that in the morning.
How do you feel about him? Between him and Rodemy, which do you think is more likely town? Do you think they can both be town?
This is not calling us both town. unvote, vote Ghosting
Also...I'm allowed to think someone is scum, lol. I've said this already, but essentially you have an issue with me thinking you're scum. If I'm asked who I'm suspicious of, and I answer who I'm suspicious of, there's nothing wrong with that. Additionally, I didn't even say you were scum, just that I'm suspicious of you -- and then proceeded to ask another player their view on the situation, also if they think it could be town/town, in order to get insight into their view because, as I've said, I highly value reads and interactions. Are you incriminating me for doing so?
Yeah no. You were talking about rhand and i. Nice try though.
If this is a genuine scumread, you're being incredibly overeager.
In post #211, Ophidia is talking to me about the situation with you and him.
In post #206, I again talk about the Ophidia/Rodemy situation.
So with frequent and intermingled conversations, yes, I thought we were talking about them. I don't even see why I'd be talking about Rodemy/Rhand instead of Rodemy/Ophidia when the whole thing was between Rodemy and Ophidia.
Additionally, how is this behaviour malicious, and scummy? I literally am either townreading these players, or in one instance, asked another player if they think the player could be town, scum, etc. -- to see where that player's views lie in order to better analyze the game.
I think what may have happened is that I initially meant to ask about Rodemy and Ophidia, not Rodemy and Rhand, and that's why the conversation was directed as such. Although I was earlier suspicious of Rhand so maybe I was asking for that reason. I do know however that when I think of the dichotomy that was trending at the time, it was between Ophidia and Rodemy, not Rhand and Rodemy. To be totally honest I can't remember, but maybe that will help clarify at least a little the thought process. Again though, incredibly opportunistic, and this is behavior that makes it really easy for scum to hide, jump on, and push a mislynch.
Do you think the rest of my behaviour so far has been scummy?
He posted scummy things before you decided he was town, why do you expect him to change just becauae you "decided" he was town?
Ghosting. Ya messed up. Die scum die.
This is so unnecessarily and overly eager, it doesn't even read natural. You look like you discovered some irrefutable proof I'm scum, when you're pushing for my lynch based on me thinking we were talking about Ophidia/Rodemy and not Rhand/Rhodemy, while I was having other conversations about Ophidia/Rhodemy, and while that was the popular dichotomy. Additionally, I called Ophidia and you town...so what exactly is it that I'm doing that's scummy?
You're really not making yourself look like you're trying to solve the game, but rather, doing your best to push a milsynch.
If you genuinely think I'm scum, make a PBPA. Town's job is to logically, without bias, analyze the present information to jointly determine the most rational and likely scum candidate. Pushing "die scum die" is doing nothing to help us or progress the gamestate rationally, and instead allows scum to easily hide and hop on an easy wagon.

I've said the exact same as town and neutral, so how does this make me scum?
It's true -- claiming I'm undeniably scum so blatantly and quickly, without any effort beyond "die scum die" isn't beneficial to the game state. We win by looking at things with logic, not speed lynching players off of incredibly poor points (like how I thought we meant Ophidia/Rhodemy).
Like in #238, Rodemy doesn't even care what D_V thinks or why he's joining -- he doesn't even take a second to think about D_V as a player -- and instead just asks why he isn't voting. His priority is clearly seen here as not wanting to solve the game, not thinking about this constructively, but just desperate to push a wagon.

Had just a moment to skim and post, but it's still the holidays for me. Not sure I see what everyone's on about with Ghosting, but I'll take a closer look when I have a chance.
You lied to make it seem like you werent forcing people to commit to reads this early. You even said the question qas to force people to commit.
And then defend yourself by doing the complete opposite.
Then to defend THAT wacky move, you say you misunderstood, when it IS CLEAR that you meant rhand and I.
Its how the whole situation panned out really.
Stop trying to push the lynch over to me.
I'm not sure how long you've played Mafia, and I genuinely mean no offense at all when I explain the next few things the way I do -- and you may already know it, in which case disregard. But it's important that when you say "this is scummy", you look at a few things:
1) Why is it scummy?
2) Is it malicious?
3) Is it trying to get someone lynched?
4) Is it something town could also do?
5) Is it possible I'm tunneling?
And here's why I say this: You don't know that I lied. I didn't, and I genuinely did just confuse the two players we were talking about. I mostly play while high, late at night, and was talking with two other players about Rodemy and Ophidia, who were also the big dichotomy at the time. Because there's the possibility I'm not lying, and humans are human who are prone to mistakes and condemning people for doing so is an easy way to let scum eat up mislynches especially when the confusion is incredibly innocent and not at all harmful, you need to look at the steps.
1) Why is asking a player if they think two players are town/town, town/scum, or scum/scum scummy?
2) In what way am I being malicious for doing so? How else should I get reads, and why should town be scared of providing reads? I clearly stated that I myself change reads frequently and would never expect anyone to be held to those and it used as a reason to push a lynch. As long as people are being genuine, provide logical reasoning, and it isn't a blatant scummy jump. As I've said, the information town gets is really proportional to the effort we put forth into getting those questions, so I try to get as much information as early as possible in order to better help us.
3) Am I trying to get someone lynched? No, and I wasn't even asking in a way to push a lynch. Why suggest multiple possibilities instead of just framing it as maliciously as possible in order to convince people these players are scum if I want someone lynched?
4) Is it something town could do? I think this is an obvious yes, because town wants reads, town players are human, and town don't have information so they actively want it the most.
5) Is it possible you're tunneling? If you think everything I do is scummy, it's likely you're tunneling. I've been actively looking at players, asking questions, etc.
Your entire case is based on "You obviously meant Rhand and Rodemy, there's no possible way in any world that you meant Rodemy and Ophidia, even though yo were just talking about those players and other players were as well", and it's so convincing to you, that you are so headstrong and adamant you're right, even though the action itself isn't inherently scummy.
I have said I think you're town, have focused my pressure onto primarily red_Omega and Rhand, and have made no efforts to get you lynched. I think you are tunneling town with poor logic because you are tunneling. Your early behaviour makes me think you are town, and I am in no way pushing for your lynch. This is a blatant misrepresentation of my actions, or someone who is incredibly defensive that their flawed behaviour is being pointed out. Whichever it is, it is explicitly not true.
Mods in the spirit of Christmas pls don't give me a warning for this post? On mobile and my post submitted before I could say one more thing.
What motivation is there even to lie in this case? It's not as though talking about Rhand and Rodemy would be scummy, and I've explained why in my previous posts. There's no motivation, the act itself isn't scummy, yet we have players here who are adamant to have me lynched and just unflinchingly believe I'm scum for it.
It's the fact you said you called us both town (while defending yourself from a question) when you clearly didn't.
And then tried to cover it up.
And now it appears you are spiraling.
Actions, my dear Ghosting, are indicitive of alignment. And yours scream scum.
*sigh*
Can you please read what I said, and respond with a little more depth? In no way am I spiraling, and you have just again listed that the sole action making me scummy here is me "lying and covering up" something -- that I have already asked you what motivation I have to do, and how the act itself is even scummy, but you again have refused to answer.
Are you capable of responding with more than overeager quips and misreps?
Additionally, what motivation do I have to cover up? I'm not covering up anything scummy, so it doesn't make sense that when I say I just confused the two, that I'm saying it genuinely. You aren't providing any logic to the idea, or any reason at all that it's scummy. And also, the rhetoric you're pushing is far from helpful.
But honestly i think you are scum just wasting time.
*shrug*
To each their own, but I do hope you read with a mindset focused on solving the game, not solely confirming your beliefs. I asked a decent amount of questions in there that would give us both a better idea of your view I think, so I look forward to your thoughts.
I'll add -- aside from me, how are you feeling about the rest of the players? If you think I'm scum, who are my scum buddies?
Ghosting- You feel like scum trying to get wagons started, maybe this is you just hunting since it benefits you this game. Then you pre-emptavely post games, including a micro scum and neutral game. I think I just have a problem with you including a neutral game, are you hinting that you rolled it AGAIN? Like I think your wagon could be just bull*****, but I dunno, link me a non-micro scum game maybe?
I wish I rolled neutral again lol, it's easily my favourite alignment. I promise you I didn't though.
I do indeed participate much more actively as town than scum, since I have to scum hunt. Although like I said earlier, if I ever get confirmed town or something, I do tend to get lazy, which I plan to work on.
I just made sure to include a game of each alignment -- town, scum, and neutral -- to give a good idea of my play. Additionally, the neutral game is actually a good reflection of my town play, as I was openly playing in favour of the town in order to stay alive (I think I originally mentioned this as a reason for including the game).
Here's another scum game, it's another weird one though. I don't really have much, unless you want 5 year old games.

I love this.
Ghosting is so scum.
More thoughts later.
No vote?
I've said the exact same as town and neutral, so how does this make me scum?
It's true -- claiming I'm undeniably scum so blatantly and quickly, without any effort beyond "die scum die" isn't beneficial to the game state. We win by looking at things with logic, not speed lynching players off of incredibly poor points (like how I thought we meant Ophidia/Rhodemy).

@Rodemy: Why'd you ignore my question?

You lied to make it seem like you werent forcing people to commit to reads this early. You even said the question qas to force people to commit.
And then defend yourself by doing the complete opposite.
Then to defend THAT wacky move, you say you misunderstood, when it IS CLEAR that you meant rhand and I.
Its how the whole situation panned out really.
Stop trying to push the lynch over to me.
This is bull***** really. I asked why d_v didnt vote in a post he said you were scummy. So idk where you are getting all this inside info on how i think...
Hunt, D_V and Ghosting don't have their votes where their mouth is. I don't like that.
Should be able to do more tomorrow.

"Stop trying and push the lynch to me"
LOL wut even.

Mafia Stats 2016-2017:
Town: 1-0 | Scum: 2-0 | Neutral: 1-1
Specifically, please respond to post #248.

Town: 1-0 | Scum: 2-0 | Neutral: 1-1
But honestly i think you are scum just wasting time.
*shrug*
To each their own, but I do hope you read with a mindset focused on solving the game, not solely confirming your beliefs. I asked a decent amount of questions in there that would give us both a better idea of your view I think, so I look forward to your thoughts.
I'll add -- aside from me, how are you feeling about the rest of the players? If you think I'm scum, who are my scum buddies?
Mafia Stats 2016-2017:
Town: 1-0 | Scum: 2-0 | Neutral: 1-1
