Then Srppel ****ed up his code. The 1 implies I have a passive ability, and he would give it to either iso or SC. I also implied there was no list on page 1,I got it from the spoiler on day 2. The no 1 is basically saying don't take me passive.
Seppel couldn't **** up a code, he made it. 0 refers to instigative. 1 refers to passive 2refers to where passive would go and 3 and 4 refer to results.
I couldn't understand your answers because they don't go with the code at all, but the 0 looked like you were claiming an investigative to me.

Reread going along slowly, between family, work and the fact that the beginning of the game is a pain to get through because of the holidays, its been slow going. Roughly a quarter through, leaning scum on Axel (post 50 is a big part if my early game scum read on him), hoping Tom becomes more like his usual self further along, and null on GJ. Haven't reached the Iso lynch yet, which I believe is a big part of the case on Johnny.
I am fully caught up! I have some thoughts to tie up in my head and post when I get to an actual computer. Shouldn't be too long, I just read really slowly so I need to do something else for a minute. I also want to go back to some of the longer posts that I skimmed but didn't fully read.
Wildfire - axel mentioned that day one you said one of your abilities was to transfer your empowerment so, but it ends up not being in your ability list. Can you clarify that?
What am I missing in dv's role that would allow him to doc four people last night? I see it could go to two, where four? (Also, I'm waiting to hear about the passive of a doc protect and whether manders would have been protected last night)
So Johnny has claimed bulletproof who also made axel bulletproof. Making axel bp last night makes no sense whatsoever first off, but earlier today when you guys were discussing the missing night kill and if there were any other possibilities for that missing kill, Johnny didn't say anything. He was more interested in bickering and discrediting than he was trying to actually figure out the game. I'm not saying he should have claimed there, but supposedly he has two other possible options and he didn't even acknowledge it. (If I missed it, mean culpa, and please pint it out.). But you do not give someone bp status unless you think they have a chance of getting shot or you just really want to make sure they stick around for sure, so wouldn't a missing night kill make him think he could be responsible for it too maybe. I also want to point out that his play has not been the play of a bp, but I don't want to rely on this too strongly because well because and this game began around the holidays. But I think the conversation today is enough. He could be bp, but a scum one. (Also there is the problem of it looking like he was telling seppel he was an investigative role.)
Johnny's argument that bad play is not scum play and he's being unfairly maligned here is laughable. (That's how I read it anyway). He is right that town play badly and scummy and it's the job if the town to look for the difference, but it's definely not something that he took into consideration when pushing bur on day one. You couldn't get much more surface-level push on bur than johhny's.
All right other thoughts and the reads I have will come when I get to a computer.

I said that I had an ability to grant empowerment. I was referring to my Sudden Death ability, which gave the winner five empowerment. I admit it was not the clearest language, but I didn't want to give too much away (which could have tipped off the scum in the spec chat to pay closer attention) while still indicating to whoever I was responding to that we can't just bank on all empowerment info being in the clear.

Never mind my question about DV. I figured it out.
Most likely one of the three he protected were the missing nightkills. I don't believe that Johnny is a town bp/bp giver and nobody would actually shoot in there anyway. And johnny if you're a bp/bp giver, there really isn't a reason to not respond to the conversation about where the missing nightkill could potentially go. If you're bp, you can't die, so it's not like a normal doc who needs to keep their mouth shut for the sake of the healer threat. You weren't playing to draw the night kill, which would be one excuse, but the conversation didn't even seem to pique your interest, which I would expect it to if you were holding a potential reason for the missing kill. (Oh also something I just noticed. If DV was your absolute top town read, why not bp vest him?)
Also, Tom shouldn't just be read as town because nobody died last night and he could have killed him last night. Yesterday when DV said something about Tom not killing him, Tom himself pointed out that since DV was town reading him and sharing info with him, he had no real need to kill him. Tom is cheeky enough to point this out as scum. No killing last night though would have just been to further his deep wolfing if he were scum and is a perfectly fine tactic, especially when you've got a vig out there who almost certainly is going to be bumping off town. Also on the chance that WF is scum, you've got extra kill power anyway so it doesn't matter. Not saying that Tom is scum, but there's not a lot I would put past him as scum.
One thing that I do think is that Iso didn't expect to last all that long, and most of his play seems to be saying enough but leaving as little traces to his partners as possible. OH that reminds me. I think he said something about interaction stuff in the dead thread for the near vanilla game some time back. IIRC he prides himself on not leaving traces. I'll have to double check that. But I do think that at least one partner is in a good position based on how iso felt at the end of day two.

From our chat, he totally thought he could get out of his predicament. That's why his frustration seemed so legit: because he was. He had nothing to defend because the case was "gut" until the invitational ended and Seppel and Cyan could use it.

I don't think it's entirely out the realm of possibilities either. The empowerments and limitations make things a little bit swingy which does make it possible. I'll think about it more while trying to make sense of my reads.
Okay this is all going off of memory from what I read over the past few days. I don't take notes, and this site makes it near impossible to iso properly, especially since it's only going back to the beginning of January. So I apologize for no links or quotes when I'm referencing stuff. I also apologize if I'm mix up the time line on stuff if I reference it.
Gentleman Johnny - Scum. I got an early scum read on him and it never went away. I've talked about it enough, so I'm not going to repeat myself. I think I've only liked about three posts of his.
Tom/Tim/Cythare received doc protection last night and are the most likely recipients of the night kill. (I realize he protected Manders too, but Seppel removed it.)
I think TIM would be the most likely, but that's also my bias as his slot is probably my top town read. I still have little tiny reservations due to the early focus on Manders for stuff that I didn't think was that relevant at all, but early game is early game and people see what they see sometimes gods know that I've doggedly gone after somewhat silly stuff early game. I've liked pretty much every post of his once he stopped focusing so much on Manders and I really like way that he goes through and parses out the game. I hope to be able to play with him some time. If GJ is scum then he had some pretty good early observations on two scum so far. Hoping that his replacement becomes as active as he was to reinforce this read.
Manders is also a decent town read. She was buddied by ISO pretty early in the game when he defended her from a couple scum reads from people who haven't played with her. I think that some of the early scum reads on her were rather silly, especially her wanting to hold her reasoning for axel and that being some scum plan. She does emotionally tilt at things, which isn't a problem I can be pretty emotional in games as well especially when I get invested. I didn't like the vote on Bur and the post that came with it. Why I quoted that post and wanted to come back to it was because she said that we would learn TONS from a Bur!town flip and I wanted to see if she did anything with it, which she didn't. I would probably have more to say about her not doing anything with it if it weren't for some family issues that came up after that seemed to affect her activity. I'm not terribly fond of how she reads some things. BUT this could be that her break has her refinding her bearings or it's too much based on how people played when she played or it's just a product of some people's reading quirks? For instance, part of the reasoning for the read on Anak comes from things like him talking about how posts feel. Town read games like this too. I know I do, and half of games when I give reads it's how the posts are feeling to me that give me an indication one way or the other. And other things like the lock clear on Cyan because he'd keep pushing through her lynch earlier today are pretty mehsville to me. Manders herself said she was reading Cyan on day one for that very reason; why can't he have done what she already said in this game was something only town cyan would do? I also didn't much like her self vote after the way that she interpreted Bur's self vote - I don't care about the self-vote mind you, seen it come from both alignments plenty it was just jarring when I thought about the hammer on Bur after their self-vote.
And all of that should lead me to Manders is probably scum, but it doesn't which is probably why my read on her feels so problematic. Her defense of Iso yesterday while he was getting lynched actually didn't read fake at all to me. It's not everybody who can realistically defend a partner when he's going down in a way that's too light to be real but not too much to go over the top. Hers felt like a read that she actually believed and it makes sense that it did. They're good friends and he was probably manipulating the hell out of her in their chat. I think she also hasn't felt like she has too many friends in the game, she's gotten a fair amount of suspicion that is irking her and iso would have been the one to defend her. I can see her wanting her around and that impacting her read. So I think she is probably just town.
Meggido is very very likely town. It's hard to get a solid read on him because he came from spectator chat, but his posting felt so free there. If he has any reservations on playing scum, he could have easily held back and not come into the real game on sudden death. I also kinda liked him just considering that this made him confirmed town when he posted yesterday and that it took away one of his scum hunting tools. I probably shouldn't like that as much as I do, but it takes a special type of scum player to just be like oh yeah I'm confirmed town, especially in the manner that he did, and I'm not getting the vibe that he's that type of player.
Two questions for you Meggido. Who is bongo? You said that TIM scum slipped. Where?
My town read on shadow comes from a mix of just liking his tone and timing. I've liked the ways and things he's reacted to things. And I'm sorry that I cutting this short right now, I completely forget that I have pool league tonight and it started 10 minutes ago. WHOOPS. I will pick this up tomorrow as I have an uncharacteristic block of free time tomorrow.

You weren't playing to draw the night kill, which would be one excuse, but the conversation didn't even seem to pique your interest, which I would expect it to if you were holding a potential reason for the missing kill. (Oh also something I just noticed. If DV was your absolute top town read, why not bp vest him?)
Also, Tom shouldn't just be read as town because nobody died last night and he could have killed him last night. Yesterday when DV said something about Tom not killing him, Tom himself pointed out that since DV was town reading him and sharing info with him, he had no real need to kill him. Tom is cheeky enough to point this out as scum. No killing last night though would have just been to further his deep wolfing if he were scum and is a perfectly fine tactic, especially when you've got a vig out there who almost certainly is going to be bumping off town. Also on the chance that WF is scum, you've got extra kill power anyway so it doesn't matter. Not saying that Tom is scum, but there's not a lot I would put past him as scum.
One thing that I do think is that Iso didn't expect to last all that long, and most of his play seems to be saying enough but leaving as little traces to his partners as possible. OH that reminds me. I think he said something about interaction stuff in the dead thread for the near vanilla game some time back. IIRC he prides himself on not leaving traces. I'll have to double check that. But I do think that at least one partner is in a good position based on how iso felt at the end of day two.

its not that me and iso wouldnt be capable of faking our interactions, but rather that a scumteam of me and iso would have absolutely forced whatever narrative we wanted.
also, johnny's flip is about to clear me even more.

I don't think it's entirely out the realm of possibilities either. The empowerments and limitations make things a little bit swingy which does make it possible. I'll think about it more while trying to make sense of my reads.
Gentleman Johnny - Scum. I got an early scum read on him and it never went away. I've talked about it enough, so I'm not going to repeat myself. I think I've only liked about three posts of his.
Tom/Tim/Cythare received doc protection last night and are the most likely recipients of the night kill. (I realize he protected Manders too, but Seppel removed it.)
I think TIM would be the most likely, but that's also my bias as his slot is probably my top town read. I still have little tiny reservations due to the early focus on Manders for stuff that I didn't think was that relevant at all, but early game is early game and people see what they see sometimes gods know that I've doggedly gone after somewhat silly stuff early game. I've liked pretty much every post of his once he stopped focusing so much on Manders and I really like way that he goes through and parses out the game. I hope to be able to play with him some time. If GJ is scum then he had some pretty good early observations on two scum so far. Hoping that his replacement becomes as active as he was to reinforce this read.
Manders is also a decent town read. She was buddied by ISO pretty early in the game when he defended her from a couple scum reads from people who haven't played with her. I think that some of the early scum reads on her were rather silly, especially her wanting to hold her reasoning for axel and that being some scum plan. She does emotionally tilt at things, which isn't a problem I can be pretty emotional in games as well especially when I get invested. I didn't like the vote on Bur and the post that came with it. Why I quoted that post and wanted to come back to it was because she said that we would learn TONS from a Bur!town flip and I wanted to see if she did anything with it, which she didn't. I would probably have more to say about her not doing anything with it if it weren't for some family issues that came up after that seemed to affect her activity. I'm not terribly fond of how she reads some things. BUT this could be that her break has her refinding her bearings or it's too much based on how people played when she played or it's just a product of some people's reading quirks? For instance, part of the reasoning for the read on Anak comes from things like him talking about how posts feel. Town read games like this too. I know I do, and half of games when I give reads it's how the posts are feeling to me that give me an indication one way or the other. And other things like the lock clear on Cyan because he'd keep pushing through her lynch earlier today are pretty mehsville to me. Manders herself said she was reading Cyan on day one for that very reason; why can't he have done what she already said in this game was something only town cyan would do? I also didn't much like her self vote after the way that she interpreted Bur's self vote - I don't care about the self-vote mind you, seen it come from both alignments plenty it was just jarring when I thought about the hammer on Bur after their self-vote.
And all of that should lead me to Manders is probably scum, but it doesn't which is probably why my read on her feels so problematic. Her defense of Iso yesterday while he was getting lynched actually didn't read fake at all to me. It's not everybody who can realistically defend a partner when he's going down in a way that's too light to be real but not too much to go over the top. Hers felt like a read that she actually believed and it makes sense that it did. They're good friends and he was probably manipulating the hell out of her in their chat. I think she also hasn't felt like she has too many friends in the game, she's gotten a fair amount of suspicion that is irking her and iso would have been the one to defend her. I can see her wanting her around and that impacting her read. So I think she is probably just town.
Meggido is very very likely town. It's hard to get a solid read on him because he came from spectator chat, but his posting felt so free there. If he has any reservations on playing scum, he could have easily held back and not come into the real game on sudden death. I also kinda liked him just considering that this made him confirmed town when he posted yesterday and that it took away one of his scum hunting tools. I probably shouldn't like that as much as I do, but it takes a special type of scum player to just be like oh yeah I'm confirmed town, especially in the manner that he did, and I'm not getting the vibe that he's that type of player.
Two questions for you Meggido. Who is bongo? You said that TIM scum slipped. Where?
My town read on shadow comes from a mix of just liking his tone and timing. I've liked the ways and things he's reacted to things. And I'm sorry that I cutting this short right now, I completely forget that I have pool league tonight and it started 10 minutes ago. WHOOPS. I will pick this up tomorrow as I have an uncharacteristic block of free time tomorrow.
