I believe you claimed a zero ability to gain one latinum and an ability to make someone go through stuff to their target. That must be the strongman part.
I believe you claimed a zero ability to gain one latinum and an ability to make someone go through stuff to their target. That must be the strongman part.
I'm confused at this point.
I truly get nothing of what you are trying to say with this and post 2552
Traditionally a strongman is a mafia role which allows them to kill right through protections right?
But you claimed to be town so you'd essentially be a vig. But you haven't claimed a kill ability, only the ability to gain latinum and to make someone you target succeed in targeting.
-2 ability that gives my target the ability to go past the first thing that would prevent there ability.
IE if I target Tom, and Tom targets Cynth and there was a bus driver on cynth then Cynth would still be targeted.
This does go through heals, and through blocks too.
The only thing that I know that prevents this ability is if someone is untargetable to begin with (Think shroud for magic).
Your claim is "Assistant Strongman" with no other abilities (apologies, but I'm sure you knew what I meant). So, yeah. My questions stand. You said:
"I'll say that I too have been looking for something. Considering my own role.
I currently think many people are lying."
What about your role makes your say this?
What are you looking for "considering your own role"?
Why do you think many people are lying?
Strongman is a term used typically for a kill that can power through protection. It doesn't have to be though, as the emphasis of the role is the pushing past normal barriers part and not necessarily the kill. Getting hung up on the use of strong man is likely just as big of a headache as the use of mason in terms of kosa's role. I, for one, am not going to get hung up on it because of my first hand knowledge with Rax doing so (the message that delivered the link to Kosa's network QT specifically said mason) but at best I can only say it might be a bad idea to game the mod in that sense.
As for DV's role, find it believable. I've seen variants on town side that basically did the same thing. Given that we have a mystery redirector, at least two claimed role blockers, and my stop (not to mention a possible dead doctor and a claimed bulletproof) it makes design sense. Of course that is not to say the role isn't a scum role either.
@silver, I see two possibilities if the claimed role is true, first is you caught him slipping on Intel from scum QT. The second is a possible flavor allusion to a threat, much the same way the Borg is alluded to in other roles that he didn't include in his claim. DV has seemed pre-occupied in the SK department so the later seems equally possible.
Confirming what H_T said. My role info is town mason-maker, but Annorax has especifically said my ability isn't connected to alignment (ie I don't die if I attempt to target scum) and only role-related immunities would cause my ability to fail (ie Cyt). So I'm not your usual mason-maker, and probably other tradicional roles aren't as well.
A hazy lens filter descends over the station and a familiar, Orion-looking woman appears, nursing what appears to be a horrible arm cramp.
No one's fooled for even a moment, though. She's faking it for effect.
But the whip in her hand says it's not all for show.
"All right, mortals, listen up!" The Prophet shouts. "The Killjoy and The Zinger have been, how do you say, 'prodded.' You're all going to kill each other in a confused rampage and I want each and every one of you to participate. Now, the instances of existence you mortals call 'consciousness' are usually easily replaced... but at this point, Q might not mind if a few... lackadaisical inhabitants of this station go missing. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say here. You have 48 hours."
The Prophet stands at full military attention, now dressed in the uniform of a Starfleet admiral.
"You're no Starfleet admiral, Prophet!" Someone shouts.
"Quiet!" The Prophet shouts back. She clasps her hands behind her back, looks through the gathered crowd, and shouts, "Dismissed!"
With a smirk, the Prophet spins on her heel and strides off, taking the lens filter with her.
Totally understandable and not your fault at all, since we've five replacements up to this point.
Maybe Eco can take on KJ's role since he's mentoring him anyway? That way replacing in a 2.5k post game wouldn't be akin to a fulltime job. Also, I know it's kind of bad form-ish, but depending on the situation the mentor of a dead player can also replace in for another one. That's on your discretion, though.

Hey all... I'm retired, not dead. Check out what I'm doing these days (and beg me to come back if you want):
@Mods: I have an idea in attempting to preserve the integrity of game.
If no replacements are found, we lynch Zinger (that would probably end up happening anyway) and the scum team forfeits its NK so KJ's modkill funcionally acts like it.
Obviously it isn't the best case scenario (messes up with votecount analysis, investigative roles and pretty much everything that targets), but well, we work with what we have.
Read what I wrote again and you'll understand why.
It's not about who is the scummiest. It's about preserving game integrity, especially considering that Zinger would likely be lynched at some point anyway.
If you are forcing players into both day and night actions you aren't protecting the integrity of the game, you're *****ting on it. The argument asserts that a Lynch and a NK are equivalent forces and that town night abilities are equivalent to maf non NK abilities. Neither one of these is very true. Furthermore it eliminates reads gained from players choice in both votes and NK options. If it came to that I'd rather just have the mod kills and move on with day from the flip information.
I'm Brunt, a liquidator.
+1 latinum: I can take a latinum from a player I target.
0: latinum: All latinum based abilities are nullified by the player I target for that night.
-4 latinum: Target player loses all latinum abilities for the game. Also they lose all their latinum but cannot die from having zero latinum.
I am weyoun. The exact incarnation isn't specified, and the flavor seems generic enough that that is probably intentional. My ability is based around weyoun's seeing himself as a diplomat, in that I'm a partial role stopper. Each night I target a player and stop any negative effects that would befall them. I'm told that doesn't include all NK, but that's really the only defining aspect given to the negative bit. The secondary bit is the part I leaked in that if I target Borg I gain a kill. This part makes no ******* sense to me as Borg weren't prominent in DS9 as characters and I have no recollection of weyoun even interacting with them at all. But it is what it is.
Night 1 I targeted silver. Tom's claim that he targeted silver and his ability failed (1216) is where I really started to take notice of what Tom was about since it seemed he was trying to do bad things to an otherwise town seeming silver.
Night 2 I targeted Kosa and gained a kill.
Night 3 I decided to try to kill Tom. This replaced my regular ability use since I used it at night instead of day. I was simply told the ability failed. Some other ***** also happened, but that's not my claim to make but I will be validating a claim further down the list.
So two things from here, Chandra still needs targets and uses. Tom seems willing to lynch based on flavor alone since he skipped over that bit. Flavor cases are horrible cases though. Also I believe Zings is next up, but given his status as "could disappear for an unknown amount of time at a moments notice fighting fires and *****" are we opposed to simply putting him down as claim at next available juncture and proceeding around him if it seems like he might be currently deployed? Another long sit around might just kill me.
dont worry halftime, i already wanted to lynch cfc.
but yeah. we have no ferengi scum flips, and hes a ferengi killer. setup wise seems pretty likely to be NOT TOWN.
but i can go now.
i am Taran'atar, town intelligence operative
from some novel.
plus ability finds a player's name
N1 - silvercrys - ability was countered
N2 - shockwave - patrick
N3 - wheat - keiko obrien
minus ability is a track
ultimate is a census with some fancy flavor stuff.
more details on that tomorrow.
I don't see a reason to flavor claim, unless someone wanted to confirm the information.
As for all the abilities and targets,
1 shot role block used N1 on TS.
1 shot name cop used N1 on TS.
1 shot protection/reduce two latnium from the target (if target would die from this, they don't and instead lose all latnium abilities and traits related to being a Ferengi). Used N2 on Mind.
* Cythare runs out of the room, then comes back with an old flintlock pistol. She sets it on the table, then runs and grabs a small metal rod and lines it up with the trigger. After some wrestling about with her paws, she maneuvers the pistol such that the barrel is in her mouth and the rod sits on the trigger. She pushes down on the rod and a loud bang rings in the air as Cythare is jettisoned across the room and into the far wall. She stands up, shakes, and spits out the bullet. *
(I claimed my starting Latinum, 2, on D2. I can add my costs, but the scum team will know what I'm capable of if I do.)
I think that's all the claims.
If anyone is concealing abilities, it's most likely in [Wheat, KJ, D_V, Zinger]. Because Wheat/KJ claimed "just masons," D_V only has one claimed ability that does stuff, and Zinger claimed vanilla with a post restriction.
Kosa: Your N2 and N3 targets were KJ and I, right? I wonder if there's some hidden clause that rax didn't tell either of us about that means we can't get masonified by your ability?
I think Chandra is the best lynch due to being outside the town circle as well as being inside the latinum circle. Seeing only 3 latinums is a strange number, esp. since Chandra has a steal ability.

Eco cannot replace Zinger. I'm still hunting for replacements, but if we don't find any shortly, Teia and I will have to make some hard choices.

Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Hey all... I'm retired, not dead. Check out what I'm doing these days (and beg me to come back if you want):
Silence descends over the station, as if everyone's voices have been forcibly ripped from their throats. A hazy lens filter obscures the station, temporarily blinding everyone. When their sight returns, they realize they've been taken to a strange, otherworldly, elsewhere place.
It looks like a Federation starship, but is somehow... different. Every sentient being's danger sense is on high alert, as if some looming but imperceptible threat is right around every corner. But nothing's there to see. Just the station inhabitants. That they know of. But maybe it'd be best to check around those corners again just in case...
"Welcome, everyone," comes a familiar voice, "to the little shop of wonders known as the USS Event Horizon."
The Prophet appears in front of everyone, this time dressed in the burgundy colours of Starfleet in the late 23rd and early 24th centuries. It's quite dishevelled, with the front open, revealing a torn white undershirt with deep red stains. Her green skin is scarred, and her eyes shine with fell intent.
"It appears there are some among you who doubted my intentions. You ignored my warnings, just like you did with your parents back in the day. But I'm not going to bend you over my knee and spank you this time. Oh no. You see, this ship isn't one of my illusions. It's an old Starfleet experiment. They fitted a ship with a new type of engine, meant to burrow through the very fabric of space. But that turned out to be quite the mistake. The crew killed each other in the most horrific and graphic ways, sanity scarred to destruction by the forces within this new type of Warp. The ship returned on its own volition, quite changed from the experience. Naturally, when I found this now-sentient ship, I knew I had something wonderful. But then Q came by. But I won't bother you further with petty details you don't need to know."
The Prophet raises an arm, and two of the station's inhabitants are pulled forward by an invisible force.
"The Killjoy and The Zinger think I tolerate pacifism," she says darkly. She pulls out from inside her uniform what look to be mirror universe agonizers. One in each hand, she thrusts them into Killjoy's and Zinger's chests. They scream in pain, then in horror as they realize the agonizers aren't on their chests, but in them, fully part of their bodies. The screams relent as the pain abates. "They will remain with me here until such time as I decide to dispose of them." She offers a thin smile. "But what is time to a Prophet? I will control them. Use them. They are no longer part of your world, but mine."
The two former station inhabitants shriek in pain once more, brought to their knees before their new mistress. Their new goddess.
"Let this be a warning to the rest of you," the Prophet says darkly. "Now go, and make use of this lesson however you see fit."
The lens filter fades, along with the horror of the USS Event Horizon. Was it all just a dream, or maybe a vision? No, it was real. The Prophet's true intentions are still outside the station's grasp for now, but it seems its inhabitants' only hope lies with that eternal trickster and sometimes benevolent tormentor, Q.

Cause I really don't get what you were implying here or saying at all.
Did anyone claim to target Kosa last night?
I gotta admit that posts like this one make me love you. If you're somehow pulling this off as scum, you deserve the win.

@Wheat_Grinder:
I guess I can put all the claims in a single post, it'll be a while before I get to it though.
