Would you be happier if I told you that you suck and your read on silver doesn't make any sense? Also it's not just your read on him that has me suspicious, Silver has been downplaying the existence of the cult every time it gets brought up.
My behavior towards the cat didn't change. I'm still gonna screw with it from time to time because I'm null on the cat, but realize it being the lynch for today is impractical.
Also no I haven't voiced my thoughts on silver being borg until now because it wasn't until you brought up the cult again that I became suspicious. Silver downplayed the cult when I brought it up and he did it again when you brought it up. That makes him 2/2 on downplaying the cult when it gets brought up and that's a bad look.
@Fable: Keeping the town from chasing its tail is a bad look? What's your great plan for catching the cult then with no interactions between members and not even a flip to tell you that one exists?
Gonna just lynch me and hope I flip Borg Leader? What happens when I flip town? You led us around by the nose all day to a mislynch on me... because I was trying to keep you from leading us around by the nose to a mislynch.
Honestly, if I was the cult leader I wouldn't be touching this conversation. I'm trying to scumhunt, what are you doing? Trying to WIFOM your way to a mislynch on me while coasting? Want to talk about bad looks, that's pretty much the worst one possible.
In fact, you aren't even voting me. Your vote is still on the cat you said you didn't really want dead. But I'm the cult leader, apparently - shouldn't your vote be on me? I'm not sure what to make of this play here.
@col_mongoose: You came to the same conclusion on what? Hunting the cult, Kosa, something else?
@Silver
Someone is getting a bit touchy. If it makes you feel any better I'll vote for you.

Also the doctor knows a cult exists so that isn't even the question. The question is how do we find the cult? Well the cult is really just another scum team so we just look for the same reads we would looking for mafia. I'm just saying we should be aware that the cult exists because that does change at how we should perceive the game.
Also the doctor knows a cult exists so that isn't even the question.
Did you, uh, just claim? And I've already explained how your role saying something about the Borg doesn't necessarily mean there are Borg. Spot the Cat was immune to conversion in a game that didn't have them. Because the mods wanted them to think there was a cult. But yeah. Leave your vote on me if you want, but I'd like to see some scum hunting. Please.
Mmhmm. Lemme know how that cult hunting thing works out, I guess. Spent too much time on it already, but it's not like there's anything else to talk about either until Kosa comes back.
I dunno. Like a 3 or something? To be honest, I'm not even sure what to look for (especially if it's only a one man at the moment) and even if there is one... how does it help us to go hunting specifically for that one neutral guy and ignore the four or five man mafia team?
Because the longer the cult exists the more dangerous they become, if we can cut them off at the root here we improve our chances of winning drastically. The mafia can only shrink as we kill them while the cult can keep there numbers steady if we keep killing them or grow if we miss.
Ok, but this just goes back to what I've already said...
How do you know there's a cult?
Even if you assume there is one, how do you catch them on Day 1 when there's only (probably) a single member?
I'm not saying "there's definitely 100% for sure no cult here." But even if there is... what do you want to do about? I can guarantee lynching me won't help. We can't trap them in night actions without outing roles at minimum (although Fable's practically full claimed near as I can tell). Why don't we just... play mafia and see what happens? (I mean, we sort of are, but you know what I mean).
I haven't come anywhere near full claiming, I just gave you my role name and that I can do something against the cult. Also yes we have a 1/19 chance of getting the cult leader today but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try.

I mean, you said you'd stop me from converting Tom. Was that not role related? I'd assumed (maybe incorrectly) that between the breadcrumb and your role name your night action prevented someone from being converted. Guess Tom thought so too.
I don't feel too hard pressed to delve into the Kosa posts yet when I can waste my phone's battery playing pokemon go till the wee ungodly hours of the morning at a pokestop with other players catching pokemon. Not to mention a deadline hasn't been established yet which is a major factor in why I haven't posted about that situation.
Anyway, I'm not going to make an promises at this point about an exact time of when I'll post about Kosa's situation. Best I can say is that I will get around to it.
In the mean time, any thoughts on TS's post and my post concerning my whole blanket agreement with Half_Time would be appreciated. From everyone that isn't TS or myself.
towndota is inquisitive, overwhelmed, and ready to argue. i love towndota.
this dota is just looking for things to pounce on. hes throwing shade. hes been vla, but is somehow fully confident. he knows tappingstones is town. hes saying things for how they look, not how they help him figure things out.
Yeah but I don't mind, yes is doesn't necessarily make me town so yeah you guys can still lynch me at some point if you think I'm not. But on the other hand the mafia and cult can't touch me so I feel pretty safe in that regard and I think giving you guys the extra information is more useful than not.
When I saw that claim, all I thought was "Number one suspect if there is a SK". Makes more sense to have those immunities as an SK than as town. Are we to believe that the only way you can not win this game, is if you get mislynched? Seems... fishy.
Then he's just Bulletproof Town in a Specialty. Which would be rather annoying for the mafia team, granted, IF he was actually scumhunting and being townie. Because then he'd be be a good town member that they can't get rid of. Instead he's gone and poured wine all over his slot by pushing for cult hunting and then claiming unprompted.
Which makes the least sense because he knows the Borg can be deprogrammed so why would he be so worried about them that he's willing to lynch essentially at random hoping to get them before they convert anyone over likely mafia? Plus his own math falls flat then. His only night action is to deprogram, meaning we can lynch cult and he can deprogram one each night, so the cult can be whittled down same as the mafia.
@tom: Why are you concerned about me specifically knowing his role info? Do you really think I'm the cult leader?
@KoD: Sorry if I'm being thick, but I can't locate the posts in question. Could you link them please?
The room suddenly changes to a high school gym, with voting stations set up. Fable07 appears in a flash of light, walks to one of the stations, fills out a ballot, and drops it in the ballot box. A flash of light appears in the box, the ballot disappears, and Q appears with the ballot in hand. "Really, Fable? Pat Buchanan? Seriously? You humans keep mistakenly voting for that hack even though he's been dead for four hundred years! Do it again!" Fable07 is blinked back to the station, fills out another ballot, and brings that one back, also with Pat Buchanan written in. "Do that again and I'll make sure you're never born! Now go back and vote for someone who's actually on the frinxing station! Fable utters a muttered "*****, seriously?", goes back, and comes back with a new ballot marked Silvercrys. Q says "Finally, one of you can actually follow a simple direction! What next, you'll master walking upright and piloting a starship?"
Q then disappears and the room returns to normal, leaving everyone wondering what the hell just happened.

Hey all... I'm retired, not dead. Check out what I'm doing these days (and beg me to come back if you want):
When I saw that claim, all I thought was "Number one suspect if there is a SK". Makes more sense to have those immunities as an SK than as town. Are we to believe that the only way you can not win this game, is if you get mislynched? Seems... fishy.
Cults can be pretty broken so I suppose I'm the mod's way of balancing it. I mean I guess I could hypothetically be a SK, "Attack of the Killer Hologram" sounds pretty cool but if that were the case you guys would know something was up the second there was more than one night kill so it sounds like a bad plan.
yes, silver. i really think youre the cult leader.
but thats a great point about fable.
well, a great sequel to mindreaver's continuation of my point about fable.
but still.
i'd vote fable if i can't convince everyone else to lynch you though.
but i can be pretty convincing. and you don't even have to be townreading me to listen to me on this. we got solidly 18 antiborg players here.
i hope...
Q appears again in a flash of light. "Of all the impudence, you have the unmitigated balls to tell me I can't tell you what to do? Go to hell! Q disappears.
Fable looks around, sees someone pointing up, looks up and sees an anvil hanging over his head. He says "oh shi" and then the anvil falls, crushing and killing him.
Fable07, Idiot Who Thinks Q Isn't Omnipotent has died.
Q then reappears, looks around, sees the Prophets coming in to say something about Fable's untimely and unnecessary death, says "*****... I would've gotten away with it if not for you meddling Prophets," snaps his fingers, and Fable reappears standing on the anvil, alive and apparently unhurt. Q then makes an apparently obscene gesture with a hand that's inexplicably turned into a cloven hoof and disappears, leaving the anvil and smeared mess of whatever-the-hell-Fable-is for Fable to contemplate.
@tom: I'm anti-borg too, I'm just skeptical of their existence. I believe we might have 19 anti-borg players, not 18, and pushing for cult hunting right now is a distraction for town. Especially if we have an unkillable deprogrammer. Which brings me to...
Why would you want to lynch the claimed deprogrammer if you're so sure I'm the cult leader and can't get me lynched today? Why not DoTA since you're so sure he's scum and you might need Fable if I convert someone you can't catch?
Regardless of whether or not there is cult, lynching me won't stop it (because I'm town). So push your case if you want, I guess. Imma go hunt scum now. Starting with DoTA since you seem convinced of it. BRB.

love you too. <3

I think all I did was question why you think me agreeing with you is a problem.
mafia wants to kill the borg as much as i do. no reads to be gotten from that.
@Silver yes I can to the same conclusion.
My behavior towards the cat didn't change. I'm still gonna screw with it from time to time because I'm null on the cat, but realize it being the lynch for today is impractical.

Different tells for cult day 1, assuming they start with only one member and then recruit more.
Let's not get to that point

8th strongest read now.
I'll bite. Why is DoTA mafia?
Something like that.

*DING! DING! DING!* Give the man a prize, he figured it out.
Role Name: The Doctor
Powers: Being a hologram I'm naturally bulletproof (meaning I can't be night killed).
I can't be assimilated by the borg cult.
I can reprogram cult members and turn them back to normal.
neelix is the worst.
but yeah, that makes sense. hard to assimilate a hologram or whatever.
and this is why claiming for no reason is bad.
it doesn't make you town, and silver knows way too much about you now.
boo.
splain it to me.
