KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.
engage with the people around you. dont ignore us to talk about vigs and claims.
we're in this together, and you wont even tell me your name.
why do you think im being aggressive? could it be the giant clock counting down, foretelling our doom?
im not afraid to die. the world will be a better place without me in it. but it would be nice to redeem myself. maybe get myself into heaven if it exists.
though i most certainly deserve damnation. deserve to burn. just like all those people.
...the screams. i hear them still, and i wasnt even there. but i hear them.
what do y'all think of kj and shinen not engaging with anything but the situation?
brit, why so bloodthirsty? and why the dismissal? do you know more than youre letting on?
i think the situation has a lot to engage in. do you not think this situation deserves attention? what would you rather engage with? just getting to know each other until we're all attached and cant make a decision before time runs out?
sometimes people have to die to get things done.
all you're doing is wasting time and distracting us. if you want to live, get a little more bloodthirsty yourself. you wouldnt want to die from indecision, would you?
the situation is certainly interesting too. but not nearly as interesting as the people involved. we're trying to figure out who wants to kill us, right?
we're all bad people, terrible even. but two of us are murderers. i assume responsible for us being here.
i want to figure out who those people are. i couldnt care less who the "vig" is. i hope he strikes true, but i dont really see the benefit of revealing himself. that seems like something the bad guys would want to know.
also no spoilers leuk. she doesnt know she was in a movie. not that ive seen it, but i can read a wiki.
Obviously it's a bit wifom-y, and I don't know his meta whatsoever, but I suspect Tom would not be so actively involved in the rp if he was scum. Sure, it's possible that it's some sort of distraction target-but I think it's far more likely to draw ire than deflect it.

***** man. thats too much wifom for me and im a disembodied voice.
i can assure you that im distracting whether im role playing or not.
i dont even know if you want to kill me to get to him or vice versa.
he does seem like kind of a dick though. you know, for a disembodied voice.
i really do think we should get to know each other.
at least tell me if anyone else was involved in the fire.
does anyone else hear the screams at night?
how do you quiet them?
well ashley, i think thats it for you.
already? well, unless johnny is a big stickler for vote formatting, youre already dead
well like i said, i certainly deserve to die you think that, but you were one of the good guys in this situation
so who are the bad guys? do you know? i have some theories. but i want you to figure it out. look at the people that said they wanted to kill you. and remember theyre trying to hide
you always have to make this difficult, dont you? yes
well alright.
so that ghosting guy was first. do we really know anything about him? seemed like that was just random that seems correct to me
ok. so then we had killjoy.
it sure seemed like he was fishing for information, and he sure did push hard to kill me.
that certainly doesnt look good. no it doesnt. it actually looks quite bad.
ooh. wouldnt the bad guys not want to look bad? very good ashley. the scum probably wouldnt put themselves out there like that
ok. so britt was next. call him leukovirus. these people arent as in to flavor as us
ok fine. leukovirus.
he said he was down with having an actual conversation between the people who are actually here, but then decided to kill me because it was a waste of time.
almost like he wanted a justification for killing me even once everyone knows i was good. err, ok. better than some.
i assume theyll search my body and find nothing worse than a baggie of drugs drugs are bad ashley. but yes. that was some solid reasoning. we call that scumhunting in disembodied voice land
you keep finding new ways to be weirder.
ok so theres one more: ethan ah ethan. he has just as much mafia experience as you ashley
well thats worrisome.
he could be a bad guy and just sees the chance to kill me and took it
but he could also be a regular dude thats susceptible to mob mentality very true. which do you think?
well, if he was bad he would have tried to justify it like brit did--sorry, like leukovirus did precisely ashley. we call that being newb town
but what if he is bad? well we cant be sure. its basically a null tell like ghosting
so how does everybody else figure out who the other bad guy is? someone said there were 2, right?
could it be tordeck, who finally started talking when it was too late to say he wants us to stay alive? thats wifom ashley. he could just think we're fun
i dont know what that means no one really does. they use it to mean all kinds of different things.
so what do you think of shinen?
im not really sure. he seemed surprised theyd decided to kill me already, but didnt try to assign any credit or blame.
it seems like he doesnt really know whether to believe me, but was sort of coming down on the side of yes.
i guess he could be faking his indecision, but he seems genuine to me eh, it could go either way.
any final thoughts ashley?
not really. im still pretty confused by this whole thing. but i feel pretty good about br-leukovirus being evil. me too ashley. me too
well all the votes are bold now, and the OP doesnt prohibit post editing. so now im almost certainly dead.
not much conclusion to draw from ethan doubling down and making his vote right retroactively, but i feel like newb town makes a new post and reconsiders. idk though.
ethan and leuk seems way too easy.

pretty sure i said all i have to say. how about you, weird disembodied voice? i have some generalized disappointment with a <48 hour mislynch that included an RVS vote and another vote that was even less justified, but thats just the way the game goes sometimes.
i also feel the need to say that this is literally the least aggressive ive ever been in a game of mafia, but its cool.
i hope the town can recover
do you think they can? they have a chance, but theyre going to need to play perfectly from here on out.
they certainly dont have the luxury of making another snap decision
so who is your guess for the last bad guy? we already agreed on leuk well, leuk seems the most obvious by wagon analysis. but its by no means a sure thing.
theres a decent chance both scum were voting for you. certainly if ethan or ghosting is the trapsmith they should investigate the other.
the only person im willing to clear is kj, with strong town feelings towards shinen.
i liked shinen too! he seemed super cool. well ashley, your mafia career was very short.
but i think you learned a lot.
too bad about the dying thing. ill try to avenge you next time i run into a mafia.
id appreciate that, voice. kill em good
Clearly, there was an understanding that each test had to have a loser. For better or worse, that woman in the corner talking to herself seemed to be the most likely candidate. To the left, you see a steel door with the timer of 108 hours left remaining. In the corners, the grenades appear to be ready to burst. As you all realize those doors likely won't open a second time, you rush towards your only salvation from what will be a very messy death. tom tries to push past Shinen, but as he reaches the threshold, three of you grab him, shove him to the ground as ethanljr kicks him while he is down. Dragged away by the other five, tom lies there in a daze. As the rest of you close the door, you hear Tom scream "STOP. I WAS ASHLEY, TOWN VANILLA!!!!!. Alas, it is too late. The rest of you wait in the antechamber to figure out what has been done today.
....a few hours later, you continue to hear the whimpering of what appears to be tom still alive, followed by the sound of loud shattering glass. tom didn't even get a chance to yell out a death scream before....well...you can imagine the scene on the other side....
IT IS NOW NIGHT 1. YOU HAVE 48 HOURS TO TURN IN ANY ACTIONS. DAY 2 WILL START WHEN ALL ACTIONS ARE IN or 48 HOURS PASS. WHICH EVER OCCURS FIRST.
In the dead of the night, Tordeck walks up to leukovirus and bashes the skull in. At about the same time, he notices Ghosting slit the of another townie. Alarmed, he starts to scream for help from the others. Waking, they see Tordeck holding a metal pipe with the blood of Ashley Town Vanilla. They then corner Tordeck and immediately attack him, forcing the pipe from his heads and kick him to keep him down. Using this distracting Ghosting and Shinen come from behind and stab each of them through the back of the neck. The last look of realization vanishes from their faces as they realize they have been had. This game is over for them.
Congratulations to Shinen and Ghosting, Mafia Bulletproof and Mafia Roleblocker for a perfect victory. My apologies for the length of the game, will post chats up when I get off of work.
On one hand, I feel bad the game ended in a single night for the town.
On the other hand, it was an open set-up, Tom was speed lynched with some people only posting once or twice, with Tordeck firing from the hip. Yes, the town as a collective only mislynched once, but town had control over two kills, so nyeh.
Yeah the real problem here was how quickly Tom was lynched. I think I posted...twice, maybe? And he was dead before my internet was even back up, which was a pleasant surprise. I had been tempted to post from my phone, but coasting in the back seemed like the best choice to avoid potentially getting shot by the vig.
I knew the scum was within 3 options. I picked one. It was wrong. It happens. The speedlynch of tom was the greater mistake IMO.
Who else were you considering for scum, out of curiosity? As I said in the scumchat, I pegged you for a pretty good player; so I'd definitely like to hear your thoughts and the reasoning behind them.
And thanks, Tapping.

Yah I agree that Tom shouldn't have been quick lynched. He was scummy cut that could be discussed a bit further before lynching.
I thought shinen was possibly scum, but I liked Tom more.
I'm glad to have drawn the role block though.
When you said that there was something the scum might not have noticed yet, was that a plant to try and draw attention? Or was it just something that I thought was more obvious about the set up than you did?
And yeah, even if that bit specifically wasn't a plant, you did a decent job of setting yourself up as the trapsmith. Of course, it was also just the case that as the most active town player, you made an obvious block.

i feel somewhat responsible for this loss. maybe trying roleplaying for the first time in my first mini was a little too much. i was hoping yall would get into it with me like my old DnD group did.
super fun though. i will definitely do something similar again. should i announce it pregame?
Firstly, Tom, you did fine. Yes, in general if you make the decision to roleplay prior to the game, say so beforehand. Makes things easier.
The problem I had eith you was I was confusing your roleplaying with your actual play. Like, some of the things you said in roleplay were suspect to me.
I didn't actually want you LYNCHED. I wanted a claim. Others speedlynched, and that sucked. Not sure I wouldn't have still called for a lynch after a vanilla claim, but still. We could have at least talked about it.

It was about what the mafia could theoretically claim. I forget what it was now, but no. It was not a plant in that way. I WAS trying to trick you into thinking I was some kind of PR, and that worked. So yay.
