GJ, how does your ability work? I'm assuming you have daychat? If your partner does come in, do you lose the ability to chat privately?
I have access to day chat with another person, we are both confirmed town to the other. I do not know what happens when and if that person enters the game.
Followup question. Are you two aligned with any of the neutrals? I see Proph's character comes from the same source as the neutral Lain.
Phrased it poorly. Proph flipped town yet I believe there would be a connection between him and the Lain Iwakura player listed in the OP. Do you have any such connections?
What exactly did you picture the win condition of a town-aligned neutral to be?
I missed that he said town aligned neutral. That typically implies he has a wincondition either against a 2nd mafia, or a hostile neutral. OTherwise, why wouldn't he just be town?
The part that I bolded is a lie. Tapping claimed "town aligned neutral" in 983. Your next post in the game was 994, where you say this:
I could believe TS being town aligned neutral, if for no other reason, he is far more defensive than I would think an actual neutral would be in that situation.
In this post, you explicitly contrast his claim of "town aligned neutral" with a regular neutral. In other words, you didn't miss that part of this claim. My clarification question to you also explicitly referenced it:
Johnny, can you please elaborate on this? What do you believe a town-aligned neutral's win condition would look like, and why would such a player be more defensive than a non-town-aligned neutral?
Given that you obviously saw the entirety of Tapping's claim, why are you trying to pretend otherwise?
If it is my definition of Hitman then he definitely wasn't town aligned.
Otherwise, he probably had to kill like 2 town, 1 mafia or like 1 mafia, 1 town, 1 neutral.
I have never seen Rob roys definition not have to kill at least one town member. Except when they were hunting a neutral survivor, but since nobody has auto won the game I suspect this isn't true.
As with the Azreal situation here is my full take on it.
He is lying, whether his intentions with this are bad or good I don't know. It comes down to his statement that he doesn't trust me. It doesn't make a lot of sense(unless he thinks I will kill him somehow but he himself stated that is not the case), so my only other rationale is that he has to make deals and if he doesn't he is severely negatively impacted and that the reason he doesn't trust me is that he thinks I will not accept the deal he offers me. This is compounded by the fact that he claims his role is a new idea, and while I have no doubt that it is different I heavily doubt that I have not seen a variation of it, either way though it makes zero sense to me to not offer me a deal, I am not bitter about it I am just saying that there is something else going on here. While I don't think Azreal is anti-town, I don't think he has been honest about everything(And might not even know everything his role does thanks Mao). So, take the deals at your own risk.
Given that you obviously saw the entirety of Tapping's claim, why are you trying to pretend otherwise?
I forgot?
This was before the modkill, all I suggested was that I believed him to be neutral over scum, despite him claiming town aligned. Neutrals are a lot more defensive in my experience and stubborn to his back and forth with DV.

In 994 you explicitly compared "town aligned neutral"!Tapping to "actual neutral"!Tapping. Not, as you are trying to say here, neutral!Tapping vs scum!Tapping.
Going forward from that, in 1022 I asked you to expand on 994; your response, in 1023, did compare neutral!Tapping to scum!Tapping. But that was more replacing what you'd said earlier than explaining it.
I'm just going to ask straight up: are you hydra'd with this other voice of yours, so that she is able to post from your account? Her posting 994 and you responding with 1023 would explain why you didn't even remember your earlier position - it wasn't actually yours. If that isn't the case, then I find your lack of consistency to be very suspicious.
I meant what I said. I could see the signs for neutral. If you want to split hairs over the meaning and waste my time, be my guest. I really don't see a reason to engage in it if there is a decent chance this game gets wasted anyway. I either misspoke, or misunderstood the meaning, but it is clear: TS claimed neutral. I said I could see how his stances make sense from a more neutral aligned party. Being town aligned changes nothing, unless he can win while dead. Which we will never know.
As with the Azreal situation here is my full take on it.

Yeah, no, I'm pretty sure you want to kill me, or otherwise mess with me, to the best of your ability, and I think YOU are not being straight with the town about your motivations, or your information in that regard.
Meh, I might as well claim since I feel myself being super lazy. I am masoned with another player, I am confirmed town to that player, and that player is confirmed town to me. There are events that may occur that player to enter the game under certain circumstances, and neither one of us knows which.
In 994, you said that you were confirmed to this mysterious other player / voice, not that you would be publicly revealed as townie. Which is it?
Interestingly, 994 is also the post in which you compared "town-aligned neutral"!Tapping to "regular neutral"!Tapping - the other thing that you're currently being inconsistent about.
I meant what I said. I could see the signs for neutral. If you want to split hairs over the meaning and waste my time, be my guest. In 994, though, you didn't say that you could see the signs for neutral. You specifically said that you could see the signs for "town aligned neutral", as opposed to the regular kind of neutral. And then you promptly changed your stance on that, and tried to ignore my questions about why. This is really starting to remind me of the interaction I had with Tapping over the use of Nacho's ability - an inconsistent mindset, then trying to cover up the evidence of that inconsistency.
As with the Azreal situation here is my full take on it.

If we are laying all our cards on the table, I don't have any knowledge on you at all. Or not any that I know of.
I legitimately can't figure out if Robroy is purposefully trying to misrep me, or he is just not reading between the lines
In 994, you said that you were confirmed to this mysterious other player / voice, not that you would be publicly revealed as townie. Which is it?
The other mason would confirm me as town. That person can't do that if they aren't technically in the game yet, can they? According to our chat, we are both confirmed to the other, so if you read the rest of the post I quoted, I am a mason who can't be confirmed yet, but will be.

Apparently you felt the need to draw our attention to this fact - that it was deserving of its own post. Are you interested in telling us why?
Because I am hoping Tare doens't hold it against me.
You know what? I don't even care. Nacho, go ahead and reveal me, or give me the power to lynch. If it will get us past this, I will be happy.
Same ******* thing: A role I don't actually care about lynching.

I have had an idea.
Blink twice if you are playing VS Taredas in some manor.
Post Restriction – You must smile in some way in each of your posts, either through use of a smilie or through the word smile (in English or a foreign language).
in fairness, that was a post restriction of a very powerful looking townie.
(full setup is here.)
I mean, I think if we all were honest with ourselves, we know we're grasping at straws here.
It's impressive how little there is to go on considering the post count.
KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.

Perhaps your win condition is to get me mod-killed?
I know that the Game host / Moderator is playing. I know you are not that person because of Blue Text answers. I don't think you would get mod for revealing this information....
I am truly starting to question your purpose in the game.
I far less care about if you are pro town or what ever, and I am much more interested in solving this question. Your role is very intriguing to me. As always I am much more interested in the puzzle than the actual result.
So when you said that you would be "REAVEALED......AND...CONFIRMED", what you actually meant was that your counterpart would enter the thread and be willing to vouch for you. This is not being revealed - that word implies some level of mod involvement. It also, in my opinion, isn't being 100% confirmed - not in a game called Mind Screw, that the mod has stated has bastard mod elements.
Additionally, you've stated that you don't even know what will cause your other half to enter the game, which means that you apparently expect us to treat you as confirmed town for mechanical reasons that may never be confirmable. I'm willing to give you some slack based on your claim, but I'm not just going to completely ignore you when what you are saying contradicts itself.
In 994, though, you didn't say that you could see the signs for neutral. You specifically said that you could see the signs for "town aligned neutral", as opposed to the regular kind of neutral. You quoted this section of my post but did not respond to it in any way. Are you planning to?
I mean, I think if we all were honest with ourselves, we know we're grasping at straws here.
It's impressive how little there is to go on considering the post count.
I think we'll have a whole lot more to go on when some bodies hit the floor, which will hopefully be happening soon!
Nacho's scum. It's pretty obvious. I'll attempt to prove it tomorrow.
I'm looking forward to this as a nice birthday present!
Although, I am not quite sure why you would ask Az to do your dirty work when I'm obvious scum. Why not have him investigate someone that's not so obvious?
Az, I'll be happy to trade my soul to you N3 if you change your avatar to Tom's old Kanye West one and you call Killjoy a "noodle face" while doing your PBPA on me.
Hey, it isn't my fault you're giving me multiple sets of lines to read between.
You are either purposefully missing the idea, or trying to make it sound different than it sounds. Being confirmed by the mod has always been called "mod confirmed. I worded it that way because as of now, no one can confirm I am telling the truth.
This is not being revealed - that word implies some level of mod involvement. It also, in my opinion, isn't being 100% confirmed - not in a game called Mind Screw, that the mod has stated has bastard mod elements.
I tend to assume mind screw or not, a role pm is a pretty safe assumption to make for being confirmed town to each other.
Additionally, you've stated that you don't even know what will cause your other half to enter the game, which means that you apparently expect us to treat you as confirmed town for mechanical reasons that may never be confirmable. She believes the game is played in different shards (Tare wouldn't tell me which one we are in currently). That particular character is believed to exist in most of those.
In 994, though, you didn't say that you could see the signs for neutral. You specifically said that you could see the signs for "town aligned neutral", as opposed to the regular kind of neutral. "Same ******* thing: A role I don't actually care about lynching."
....it's really not that tough. Neutral claim to me, the first thing to figure out is if it worth it to try and lynch anyway (scum false claiming). Town aligned neutral wasn't even in my vocabulary until after MvW classic, so I really don't have a different way to interact with it. MY only stance was, look at TS's posts: Yeah neutral over scum is more likely. I can't see him drawing that much attention to what I believe was a series of mis-understandings between TS and DV, and both being too stubborn to back off, and both assuming the other was mis-repping the other.
Az, I'll be happy to trade my soul to you N3 if you change your avatar to Tom's old Kanye West one and you call Killjoy a "noodle face" while doing your PBPA on me.
Does anyone else get a feeling that there are 2 halves to GJ, and one is completely unable to see what the other is saying? Think Fight Club, it would explain why he is consistently inconsistent, but defending it like he has been consistent. I don't get the vibe that he is scummy from that interaction, the inconsistencies are so blatant (as RR has shown) that there is little chance its not intentional. If someone is inconsistent as scum, it tends to manifest in smaller ways, where the details look right on the surface, and under investigation you see strange things. Here its so obvious it feels to me like there has to be another explanation.
I'll burst the bubble right now and say there is nothing affecting my ability to post. I will act as a mouthpiece to my partner when needed, but I just legitimately forgot I recognized TS as town aligned neutral.
Agree to trade me your soul tomorrow, and I'll do it.
I'll consider it. No idea what I'd ask for considering the mod balances abilities. A passive ability might not be bad, but I'm not sure you can do that.
Nacho's scum. It's pretty obvious. I'll attempt to prove it tomorrow.

Although, I am not quite sure why you would ask Az to do your dirty work when I'm obvious scum. Why not have him investigate someone that's not so obvious?
Oh, you DO see my posts!
Now that Stargate is done, I don't have to look through all your posts to find a game where you were scum. That makes me happy.
Also, to answer your question: It's obvious to me, not necessarily others... and I suck at articulating arguments. I didn't go to a fancy school to teach me how to do that properly. So since Az offered to PBPA someone and two cases are better than one, I asked him to do you.
Am I reading into this correctly that you'd rather him not PBPA you, Nacho?

If he proves he can do what he can do, then he's probably town... I don't see scum having a lynch-pardoning cop with mod-confirmed results. Actually that's pretty OP for town too but if he can prove it then, ok.
I suppose the language part of my case will be unaffected, and the contradiction between language and his town read on me, but the role-related part will obviously be negated.

so if we go with the reveal plan, he'll either prove it or get lynched Tomorrow anyway, right?
like, nacho is scary and all. i get that.
but why not wait it out?
not saying you shouldnt make your case. lord knows we dont actually have a good one on anyone with tapping modkilled and imab quitting.
but this Day has significantly less information than Tomorrow will (assuming the modkills happen at night) and i seriously doubt any case on nacho will be greater than wanting to let him prove his claim

if it helps, my random number ability triggers for each day. so if:
a) its is me that moving the votes
b) it applies to night actions too
...it will still be just one down.
@KJ: Notice that I said that I wanted Az to call you a noodle face while he did that PBPA on me, not instead of.
Tom, could you post your old Kanye avatar for Az?
Az, my role is broken enough, don't need anything else. I just want the avatar change and the noodle face.
I mean I guess if you were super gracious you could get the MOD to reveal I didn't join your evil cult but noodles and avatars is really all I care about.

If it is my definition of Hitman then he definitely wasn't town aligned.
Otherwise, he probably had to kill like 2 town, 1 mafia or like 1 mafia, 1 town, 1 neutral.

You are once again saying things that do not match what you said earlier. Your claim was:
In 994, you said that you were confirmed to this mysterious other player / voice, not that you would be publicly revealed as townie. Which is it?
Interestingly, 994 is also the post in which you compared "town-aligned neutral"!Tapping to "regular neutral"!Tapping - the other thing that you're currently being inconsistent about.
Apparently you felt the need to draw our attention to this fact - that it was deserving of its own post. Are you interested in telling us why?
If we are laying all our cards on the table, I don't have any knowledge on you at all. Or not any that I know of.
I was unimpressed by the case against GJ until this last bought.
The other mason would confirm me as town. That person can't do that if they aren't technically in the game yet, can they? According to our chat, we are both confirmed to the other, so if you read the rest of the post I quoted, I am a mason who can't be confirmed yet, but will be.
Because I am hoping Tare doens't hold it against me.
You know what? I don't even care. Nacho, go ahead and reveal me, or give me the power to lynch. If it will get us past this, I will be happy.
Same ******* thing: A role I don't actually care about lynching.
The GJ way path to no lynching:
I have had an idea.
Blink twice if you are playing VS Taredas in some manor.
(full setup is here.)
Can't make tom and Rob see the light though :'(
It's impressive how little there is to go on considering the post count.
Perhaps your win condition is to get me mod-killed?
Agree to trade me your soul tomorrow, and I'll do it.
I feel like anyone who does deal with you will have to be very specific.
Hey, it isn't my fault you're giving me multiple sets of lines to read between.
You quoted this section of my post but did not respond to it in any way. Are you planning to?
Why not today?
I think we'll have a whole lot more to go on when some bodies hit the floor, which will hopefully be happening soon!
I'm looking forward to this as a nice birthday present!
Although, I am not quite sure why you would ask Az to do your dirty work when I'm obvious scum. Why not have him investigate someone that's not so obvious?
You are either purposefully missing the idea, or trying to make it sound different than it sounds. Being confirmed by the mod has always been called "mod confirmed. I worded it that way because as of now, no one can confirm I am telling the truth.
I tend to assume mind screw or not, a role pm is a pretty safe assumption to make for being confirmed town to each other.
She believes the game is played in different shards (Tare wouldn't tell me which one we are in currently). That particular character is believed to exist in most of those.
The GJ way path to no lynching:
Well, Killjoy?
What flavor abilities do you guys want?
*shrugs*
The GJ way path to no lynching:
Because I jsut got back from work and was tired.
Tomorrow as in next Earth day, not game day.
Am I reading into this correctly that you'd rather him not PBPA you, Nacho?
is your case on nacho unaffected by him proving his claim?
If he proves he can do what he can do, then he's probably town... I don't see scum having a lynch-pardoning cop with mod-confirmed results. Actually that's pretty OP for town too but if he can prove it then, ok.
I suppose the language part of my case will be unaffected, and the contradiction between language and his town read on me, but the role-related part will obviously be negated.
like, nacho is scary and all. i get that.
but why not wait it out?
not saying you shouldnt make your case. lord knows we dont actually have a good one on anyone with tapping modkilled and imab quitting.
but this Day has significantly less information than Tomorrow will (assuming the modkills happen at night) and i seriously doubt any case on nacho will be greater than wanting to let him prove his claim
That does make sense. I guess I should hold off.
Happy Birthday BTW Nacho.
Nacho's ability is not necessarily make him pro town in this game specifically, in another game I would agree but in this one I would not.
Something something, I am not sure that abilities go where targeted at night, something something may go to player below them or something.
a) its is me that moving the votes
b) it applies to night actions too
...it will still be just one down.
Tom, could you post your old Kanye avatar for Az?
Az, my role is broken enough, don't need anything else. I just want the avatar change and the noodle face.
I mean I guess if you were super gracious you could get the MOD to reveal I didn't join your evil cult but noodles and avatars is really all I care about.
lol
I still haven't reread the setup. Just...these assumptions are never safe in these kinds of games, ever.
If you want to win, just concentrate on behavior and forget even trying to do role analysis.
Hmm, I'll think about how best to hook you up.
I'm pretty sure you're flat-out contradicting an earlier version of yourself here, but I don't care to start a lynch wagon on you for it, so I guess you're safe?
