By what I've read, the only ones that are quite scummy to me(or at least the ones I care about lynching) at the moment are Limited, the Family, or EDH.
- For me, either Limited or the Family are scum. They are most definitely not a scumteam, and I don't think their feud so far can be a town v town fight. I can't really see a buddy so far for the family, which gives me a slightly higher town read on him. I think that Limited and edh could be buddies.

Still think Family is scum. As far as other analysis goes, Brigade is apparently incapable of taking a hint, and Flamingo is pretty obviously town, so unless something surprising is going on then one of the lurkers is the other scum.
By looking at the votes, mainly, I am perceiving this game as two completely separate battles between two people each. EDH seems... odd. He is making a lot of scummy plays, but a little bit of it could be attributed to being new. However, I think that the fight between the Family and Limited is far more important. I believe that one of them is scum. I don't think that they are buddies, because that would be stupid. I can think of a sensible buddy for Limited, but not for the Family, so that's what my vote is placed in.

The correct play here is to lynch limited, then do things based off of the results.
A. Limited is scum: We lynch EDH, as he is the probable scumbuddy for Limited.
B. Limited is town: We immediately lynch the Family, and try to find their scumbuddy.

What do you mean by "reconsider the gamestate"? Do you mean to say that when I come up town, people should reconsider how they think about you?
Your mindset is the interesting one here: if you were town, you should want people to see you and me as having opposite alignments. That should kinda be the point, neh? The fact that you're trying to head that viewpoint off at the pass is an *excellent* tell against you.
Please. That is not how you phrased it. You were not talking about yourself. You were talking about *Necarg* re-evaluating the game. Just for reference, for the people who don't feel like scrolling up slightly:
In the infinitely improbable event that we're incorrect about you, it seems foolish to allow Necarg to tunnel us based on a gut "doesn't feel like town on town" without at least exploring the possibility that he's wrong if we are. Is it not wise, as town, to constantly reconsider the game state when new information is present? Plus, Necarg's play has been pretty abysmal thus far, and I would personally at least like to get some insight into his mindset.
After all, the game's not over until someone wins.
~Iso
The mindset you presented was of someone who wants to lynch without taking responsibility for the lynch. You took Necarg's comment about immediately lynching you if I turn up town, and the very first thing you did, before trying to push the wagon further or display any sort of confidence in your read, was to preemptively defend yourself against tomorrow's inevitable wagon.
Incidentally, this is very similar to what you did Day 1. You made a vote, and then once it turned into a lynch, you immediately retracted all intent behind it. Kinda like you already knew what how things were going to turn out before the actual lynch scene happened. Well, I say "kinda"...
My point was that every townie should be constantly re-analyzing the game in light of new information.
Incidentally, I have seen no evidence whatsoever of you even attempting to do this, despite two bodies.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. My read on you as scum (and Flamingo as town) has only gotten stronger, and while I'm a little confused about Brigade, it's not something I've had a reason to obsess over. Neither death has given me any reason to suspect differently than that.
I would even gander that you're the most inclined among all of the players that were present in this game at the time to Nightkill Seppel, as he's someone you have a decent amount of experience with; correct me if I'm wrong. Whereas all of the rest of the players in this game are people you have mostly never heard of.
So I'm more likely to kill the guy who said he was 75% sure I was town, rather than the other guy (Gen) who I've played an equal number of games with and who is easily my biggest detractor? So glad we're thinking things through, here.
I'll tell you right now that if The Family were scum and you were town, I would have advocated your death on Night 1 because:
1. You're falsecrumbing power, and have been since Day 1, and
2. You're our biggest detractor.
With your voice of opposition no longer present in the game from Day 2 onward, scumFamily would have absolutely no opposition in steamrolling the game. (No offense to the other townies in this game; but we're definitely carrying this team.)
You can say "WAARGAARBL, THAT'S WIFOM" but it's really not. I don't make suboptimal kills as scum - period. This is something I've demonstrated in my past scum games, and something I will continue to do.
I'm curious where I suggested I had a power role on Day 1. I thought I was pretty careful about that. Show me where I did that. Please. I'm very interested in the answer to this.
(Also taking credit for carrying the team when you have a zero percent lynch success rate and refuse to take responsibility for any of the lynches individually is kinda...hilarious?)
The Day 1 situation with regards to our vote is not at all comparable to the situation here, toDay. On Day 1, I felt bullied into moving our vote - I even stated such. We ended up lynching a townie. We were scumreading said townie, but the manner in which you pressured us to vote them "raised my hackles", as Az would say. In light of that, we reanalyzed the game with the assumption that The Crafters were going to flip town, but with the hope that it was still a scum flip. The analysis my clan performed strongly suggested that you're scum, especially based on the slimy way in which you edged our vote over when we were already uncertain. In regards to toDay, we're pretty sold on you being part of the scum team. Even more so than we were about Crafters/Flamingos on Day 1. But as I stated above, every townie should re-analyze the game when new information becomes present. Being as Necarg is a less experienced player, I figured it would be courteous as his senior player to advise him not to toss the game for us in the unlikely event that we're wrong about you. You can call it "hedging [our] bets", if you'd like - but I simply prefer to be a step ahead of the scum in any given game of Mafia.
Saying you felt bullied after the lynch was done does not mean you actually felt bullied, and would be irrelevant anyway because that exact post is the one I was talking about: you're blaming me for your vote. I do not see how you can get scummier than that. "He MADE me vote for and lynch a townie! I didn't do anything!"
Explain to me exactly how anticipating my flipping town is staying ahead of the scum. At that point, if you were town, you would have absolutely no way of supporting your alignment. Literally all of your behavior and all of the evidence would point to you being scum. Even if you were town despite all of that somehow, it would be completely inexcusable for the town not to kill you off just because of you saying "but I'm really town, honest! I just completely blew it in every way possible!" Nacarg's attitude is not only very reasonable, but it's the *only* reasonable attitude to take, given that they're set on lynching me. The fact that you can't seem to own your decisions does not mean you're a step ahead of anyone. It just means you're fantasizing about me already being dead and forgetting that you don't have to defend yourself against the inevitable backlash yet.
Proph, can you talk to me about how this was like Porcelain Waltz and why you didn't start off voting for Limited?
This is exactly like Porcelain Waltz in that there was a fast hammer on Day 1 which basically stifled discussion early on and caused SNL to win and for SSK to be mislynched. Man that game still makes me angry.
I didn't start off voting for Limited because I wanted to get more discussion Today.
Limited: Can you give me a detailed analysis of my own posts/play this game? Like, walk through my posts Day 1 and explain what you saw in each of them. I want to see how you got a townread on me post by post.
Most of your posts up to this point have been completely indecipherable, for reasons made clear later, but this post was a good one. I know at the time I felt townie pressure from it, which is always a good sign, and more importantly you were actively under attack and weren't worried about defending yourself, which is a great sign. Going out of your way to try to get people to pay attention to your analysis reads as very genuine, and acting super paranoid about the first interaction that catches your attention is also a very newb-townie thing to do (I have no idea as to your actual experience, sorry if I'm underestimating you here).
There was once a hydra named homaridhoney

But that argument is really quite crummy!
homohuns
I'll just leave this as a kind of summary of the semi-flame war you had with Family on page 2. I really recommend you go back and look at Family's posts on this page and ask how he can possibly not be scum. You look really good in light of that. Maybe that's anchoring on my part, but when you compare to, say, Brigade's interactions with Family, which read as much less sincere, I can't help but read your responses as being motivated by a complete lack of respect for Family's position, which is harder to fake as scum than you'd think.
There's also the fact that you were partially under attack for "weird interactions with Crafters" as Iso put it, which I never saw. Getting falsely accused tends to raise my hackles.
I'll post some stuff later about any confirmation of my read from later on, later on. Got stuff to do right now.
This game is stale and painful. My clan has all but abandoned me, and I'm not nearly motivated enough to break the game open. But I guess I'll try. Of course, only scum want to keep the game fresh, right?
We've butted heads with basically everybody at some point and in some way, so it should be obvious that we can't be scum with anybody.
Limited is obviously not scum with Brigade. Limited probably isn't scum with Flamingos. EDH/Ronin are still scumbuddy possibilities.
EDH is giving all of us [Family] mixed feelings, last I checked. On one hand, they're scummy as hell. On the other, they could easily be afflicted with newbie syndrome. They're almost certainly not scum with Brigade, though. Worth noting that Seppel wanted EDH dead the Day before he died.
It's distressing to me that Brigade is literally the only non-us slot I think is town. That means that not nearly enough of you are putting forth enough effort to be read. I guess I can come around on Flamingos being town, given their early push on Limited, and Gaymers' first vote was on Limited, so if Limited is scum, I think that looks alright for them, given that they have posted basically nothing since then.
I mean, anyone who has ever caught scum before can look over Limited's posts and see the scum oozing from them. There's really no question about that. My biggest hang-up is finding Limited's buddy while they're still alive, which is going to be moderately difficult when nobody is posting.
I just can't shake the idea that it's EDH, though. #228 was a huge overreaction and had absolutely no follow-up.
Anybody not voting for Limited currently needs to rectify this in their next post. I have absolutely no desire to play a game of Mafia that nobody else is playing, and I have absolutely no interest in continuing my discourse with Limited because you all have enough to work with to see that he's scum. I shouldn't have to argue him into the ground for you all to take action. That's not how anybody likes to play Mafia.
If Limited is town, I think a team consisting of Flamingos/Gaymers/Ronin is most likely.
I just re-read the entire game (which doesn't consist of much) and I'm still bored.
So the rest of you need to do something.
Period.
~Iso
... You stated the obvious, then stated the obvious again, then stated the obvious some more. From what I can see, the most blatant scumteam is Limited and EDH, as you stated. Null read on most everyone else. Family is my closest town read because, as he stated (also because it was, as I stated, obvious beforehand) he hasn't been in a good relationship with anyone and doesn't have a probable scumbuddy.
Today's vote count in a nutshell:
"And YOU get a prod, and YOU get a prod, and YOU get a prod! You want a prod? You get a prod!

Rhand has flagged something he wanted me to post, so I'm gonna in his words as he said it better than I ever could...
Limited has been crumbing a result all Day. But they crumbed it wrong: They have been asking Teia all the time what had happened. But they watched Teia and "saw us act". They had no way of knowing Teia should even be aware that something happened. And yet in the end they post that Teia apparently can't take a hint, assuming she did get a Night result.
Town!Limited would have asked Family what they did at Night and not Brigade.
My educated guess is that Brigade got roleblocked and that Limited was hoping for a confirmation on that so they a) got PR confirmation on Teia and b) could get us mislynched to hit lylo.
In their bad situation from D1, sacrificing themselves to hand their buddies lylo is not a bad deal.
~generic
Asking you what happened last night would be what I would have done if I didn't want to survive the night, but in that case I would have just claimed at the beginning of the day and saved everyone the trouble. I thought a long time about whether to do that. Asking Brigade what happened was a hedge in hopes of there being a good explanation (or you getting lynched) without me having to claim, and the scum not knowing whether to hit me or Brigade tonight.
You know, having an actual strategy, that kind of fun stuff.
Why we were voting Teia in the first place remains a mystery to me. Was it a case of "she suspects me so I'm going to vote for her?"
Wish I could ask(my former player what his motivation was)...
FAMILY
The Family post #110 "I feel like this game really is as simple as that. Crafters are "peeing on themselves" (as kpaca would put it) and Flamingo has absolutely no consistency + the weird interactions with Crafters. It's a wrap."
Can you explain the "wrap" in Day one. I just read through and this is one of the questions I need answered. I like confidence but it seems from my reading that calling this a wrap here is strangely pushed. Considering that the guys you were so sure of (crafters) was town and the other one isn't feeling your heat anymore. You now are equally sure of two completely different folks. The problem I have is that the "wrap" of day one looks just like the current wrap of day two.
FLAMINGO
Post #127 You confirm that you were all playing with a dishonest mindset. Why? Town shouldn't want to be dishonest at any point(right?)
Crafters(I know they are gone) had Family as a scum read Post #153 "Be wary if family lives through the night as they are likely scum..." At least we know this is an honest assessment (as they flipped town).
Limited
In post #140 You say Family is scum and going after low hanging fruit but why do you vote Crafters in #154? Seems like a rather weak flip-flop. Didn't exactly have to twist your arm to vote WITH your scum read against a later town flip (crafters).

The scarbo posts seemed cautiously sparse. I got the impression that he was reading everything (because his posts were sprinkled throughout) but didn't want to say much until
post #179 "Masterless's 171 is hugely problematic, as is Teia's response to me in 151. Regarding the latter, she makes an underlying assumption that Family is town in 45 then makes a (sarcastic?) comment about my voting with town momentum in in 68 that seems directly to contradict her 45. I think I've only seen Teia scum once, but I don't recall sarcasm as her MO.
I guess we'll see what happens."
Masterless turned out to be harmless and his observation on Teia is contrived as if he knew he wanted to attack Masterless but threw in a critique against Teia so as not to be so obvious. Either way his second observation sounds silly as even he is regarding her as being sarcastic.
post #259 I like that you gave some reasoning here. I agree with you that both limited and family are not a scumteam. Both of them seem to be trying to really push the rest of us to vote for the other.
Post #293 Family becomes your most-likely town read. But your reasoning is that you can't find a buddy for him. I guess I can see why you would make an out on a limb statement like that. It seems the only thing you have to go on is that you don't like limited (which granted, makes sense as he's defensive as all hell) and you feel EDH (my previous player) is "probable" buddies with him.
To answer your question, the earliest posts suggest scum more than town to me. Overtly cautious of saying much, trying to make something out of nothing on Teia and tagging masterless without much reason(and being wrong). After you took over the posting you seem to want to jump on or start a bus. Saying you were up for either a family or limited lynch, then very quickly calling family the best town read.
For now I'm leaning scum.

(both posts by me, proph. I have no idea why we need to sign posts when I'll be the only one posting, but whatever)

Please respond by posting in the thread ASAP. We will be searching for replacements/additions to the Hydras if you do not respond within 24 hours.
Thank you!

"This isn't the power of a Queen Succubus. It's just... mere violence."
You ******* what, mate? "I can't analyze these interactions if they aren't in the exact right format as decreed by Mafia doctrine" ain't the sound of town talking. It's the sound of "oh golly gee I wish I could help, I really do, but I'd rather find an excuse to play the newbie card" talking.
What, you mean like voting myself? Because I can totally do that.
Unvote, vote Brigade
Oh, wait, darn, apparently I can't. Maybe I can help you lynch Family?
Unvote, vote Family
Darn it, ctrl-b just doesn't want to work for me. I guess some supernatural force just plain doesn't like votes that are bad for the game. Or maybe it's just poor reception in this tunnel you're taking us through.
Dude, are we like... reading the same post? Did you click the wrong post to quote or something? Because I'd totally understand someone making that mistake.
You realize I figured out Family were scum in the last CCM through buddying like that, right?
EDH/Limited is my guess, if not that then one of them plus Family.

"This isn't the power of a Queen Succubus. It's just... mere violence."
How does it?
Vote Limited
Ultimately this game needs to get moving. I'm sorry for my abysmal participation but fulcrum/Necarg have added virtually nothing to the gamestate and I'd like to see a claim from Limited.
Last night, Family targeted Brigade.
(@Flamingo, scum do analysis to stay under the radar, not to get attention. It's generally pretty easy to tell the difference.)

It's a ***** gambit but it's still more likely to be scum than town.

Flamingo Post #155 Agree with Flamingo here.
