It could "possibly" fit (Flavor, theme). It depends on which type of Bant Deck you're running. Exalted, Control. Otherwise, you could toss in a Baneslayer into any deck with the mana, and it would still be good.
I can't see it being all that good in here, though probably in the sideboard it would be decent. have you considered gaddok teeg or does he not solve enough problems to be worth playing? also, do you have good reason not to be playing rune snag over mana leak? just curious, mostly.
Like everyone says it is dependant on what you want out of your deck and what your weak matchups are. If you have bad matchups against aggro decks then, yes, I would play it because it is good against aggro. Also, it is very dependant on your meta amd how your deck can compete with the that meta. The only other thing I would suggest is if you do plan on running the baneslayers, I would run them in the mainboard, because no one is going to side out aggro against you so it will be pointless to board them in.
