Stygius, Devourer of Mind 2BR
Legendary Creature - Demon
5/5
Flying
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may pay half of your life, round up, and draw three cards. If you don't, choose an opponent. You and that player search each other's library for a card and exile it. Stymius, Devourer of Mind deals damage to each player equal the total converted mana cost of the cards exiled.
--------------------------
I love cards with drawbacks, it encourages people to be creative and make good decisions, and black excels in such category. With Stygius in play, each upkeep becomes a gamble where you can choose to draw cards via life, or eliminate opponent's best card while he/she does the same, but both will take risk of losing more life than you can handle. Because Stygius is a creature, it is also possible to use cards like Vampiric Link and[/c]Whip of Erebos[/c] to gain a ton of life through him, and being a 5/5 flyer helps a lot also. However, if your opponent plays cleverly, he/she could also remove your wincons with the second option.
When you no longer need Stygius, you could simply get rid of it.
