Mirage Magician - 1WU
Creature - Illusion Wizard
Whenever Mirage Magician is the target of a spell or ability, put a 2/2 Blue Illusion creature token into play and you may flip a coin. If you win the flip, the spell or ability's target is now the 2/2 blue illusion creature token. Otherwise, sacrifice Mirage Magician.

Octopus of Fantasy - 6UU
Creature - Octopus Illusion
Islandwalk
When Octopus of Fantasy enters the battlefield, put 8 1/1 Blue Tenticle creature tokens with "If this creature is the target of a spell or ability, sacrifice it" on to the battlefield. Octopus of Fantasy has Hexproof as long as your control a Tenticle creature.

I love the flavour of Mirage Magician. Reminds me of the bosses in so many games who use phantom images of themselves to hide.
The octopus, again, has cool flavour. It's a bit clunky though. It might be cleaner with counters on it to represent the tentacles. I also makes more sense because the tentacles are now attached to the octopus rather than seperate creatures that can do their own thing:
Octopus of Fantasy6UU
Creature -- Octopus Illusion
Islandwalk
Octopus of Fantasy enters the battlefield with eight +1/+1 counters on it.
Whenever Octopus of Fantasy becomes the target of a spell or ability, you may remove a +1/+1 counter from it. If you do, counter that spell or ability. 0/0
I dunno, it may be less flavourful now.
I'd say the octopus is more flavourful now, but its WAY WAY more powerful. Now a player must target it at least 8 times in order to kill it without damage. The old octopus could get tis tentacles roasted with Pyroclasm and then he could be targeted by a Doom Blade, while this one needs to be targeted by almost every card in your opponent's deck just to die. On the other hand, it does only give you a total power on the board of 8, rather than 14.
Kalonian Behemoth costs less and is bigger; I see no issue with Danny's Octopus.
Keep in mind that Kalonian Behemoth is green, while the Octopus is blue. Mechanically, this is a weird shroud, but it is very flavorful and is very blue.

Point taken. Both octopi are fine.
One is easier to weaken and kill, but has more power.
The other is easier to prevent damage from but is much harder to kill.
