Oooh boy. Really excited to finally be able to post this in full somewhere. This set has been a long time in the making. I originally started it years ago, just for fun, to practice design and find a way to channel some of my world building and creativity into a hobby I really enjoy. When my old computer died on me some time ago, I lost a lot of progress..I pretty much had to start more or less from scratch on the vast majority of things beyond the initial concept and a handful of cards. This set was made primarily with flavor and world building in mind. It wasn't really designed for any one format, though I did try and make it something that would be fun to play in a limited environment, and that would include cards good for formats such as EDH, Modern, and Legacy. I like to think I was successful on what I set out to do. This is the first finished draft of the complete set. I do plan to add flavor text to more of the cards, and I'm sure some costs or things may need to be adjusted for balancing, but I think I'm pretty happy with it. The other times I've posted bits of this set elsewhere I've gone more into a lot of the concepts behind it, bits on the mechanics and really talked up aspects of it. But for now I just want the set as a whole posted somewhere and hopefully analyzed and see what everyone thinks of it taken as it is.

I just quickly scanned this for all its Noble creatures and their tribal effects since the set name implied they would be somehow central to the theme of the set. My overall impression is that the Nobles don't really have a theme and are extremely bland. I will not understand why there are at least three one mana vanilla Noble creatures - a 1/1 in white and black each and a 1/2 in red of all colors...
Gold tokens are all the rage now, but barter is incredibly linear and parasitic - being next to useless outside of this set which makes me care less about the cards as a whole.
This set does not have anything really drawing me into it. You seem to want the flavor to carry some of the load, but I recall only one flavor text and only due to the fact that it re-tells the generic tale of a Noble pretending to be low-born. I still have no impression of what some of the flavor-entities really are e. g. the Outcaste - are the intentionally misspelled Vampires or victims of Vampires? An alliance of the two? At times any of these seems probable.
I like some individual ideas like the Guillotine, which could be something to design for any flavor neutral set, but the set overall does not come together.
Not providing reminder text for new keywords at times send me hunting e. g. honor. Honor BTW is a keyword that would get red-flagged at common for messing wth combat math quite thoroughly - especially if blocking with honor.
OVERALL IMPRESSION: It seems you have some general idea, but no strong through-line to bind it all together. To improve your set I'd work on that.
It also work on the presentation if you want feeback e. g. grouping your cards by color so readers can navigate the set easier and digest the cards in smaller chunks. It would also help to have a general reference for flavor and themes as well as a general reference for set specific mechanics to create better context for the set.

[thread=239793][Game] Level Up - Creature[/thread]
Set by NGW

Finally a good white villain quote: "So, do I ever re-evaluate my life choices? Never, because I know what I'm doing is a righteous cause."
