Theme: High fantasy w/ tribal sub-theme
Stage: WIP, 104 cards so far.
Mechanics: Animate, Imbue, hybrid mana
The story begins just after the Humans have arrived to Verdanon, in the moment when they create an alliance with Elves - both races had to hide somewhere, which led to creation of fortress-city named Anvaros. Griffins have dominated the coasts and plains of main continent. The Horrors live in swamps, rivers and oceans. Imps and Demons live in deserts and hellish, ominous pits. The Cinderwood forest is populated by Goblins and Ogres worshipping the Beasts.
So this a top-down design? Seems like a solid base, and the tribal theme is very reliable. As a suggestion, think about what associations the world, 'Verdanon', will have for people. What things could you play up? Think duels, knights, castles, sieges, dragons, chivalry, etc. Griffins and demons are both good choices for this reason.

Updated with more flavor and added the possible archetypes.

Icewing Griffin is awesome, but is probably uncommon material. Not so much common.
Fireborn Imp is a great design.
Cinderwood Troll is too strong. It would make a decent vanilla rare. You're treating a hybrid creature as though its multicolored (and then some).
