I wanted to make a full set for a while, and here is the story (first draft):
There are two brothers who are also planeswalkers, who came from an unknown plane to Iquatna in hope to find a new technology to enrich their people.
Kiada, afflicted with white, came to Inquata for honorable reasons: to discover, share and develop her people's life to be better.
Xiax, afflicted with black, is quite the opposite: He do so for satisfy his greed and find new ways to torture and manipulate his people.
Iquatana is a plane without white or black mana, but it's rich with GUR mana. There are also no humanoids that are native in this plane.

So, this set is all about the conflict between the sister (White mana) and the brother (Black mana), and their fight vs the natives (WB vs GUR).
White and black need to share a mechanic that presents discovery and using new resources. Any ideas would be appreciated.
This will do for now:
Formation (Whenever a creature you with formation is dealt damage, you may instead divide that much damage among any number of other creatures you control with formation)
GUR will have a new mechanic called Component:
Component [Cost]: (Whenever you cast a card that share a card type with this card, you may pay [Cost] and exile this card. If you do, add all of this card's abilities to the other card)
i made a set/block (still in progress) that divides the colors the same way. first ask yourself what themes or gameplay do you expect? if not humanoids, then what creatures are present and how do they live? what kind of discovery do you mean? since white is the last color associated with discovery. i also used "life mana" aka phyrexian mana on white/black cards only. seems to fit your plane that lacks WB mana.
GUR: The alien world, Volteron-Style: Go big rater then wide, mix many components into one big spell, discovering cool combos, ever-changing creatures, mana rich land.
Creature types: Illusions, elementals, Psyon (New creature type with new ability)

I just checked out your set. It seems like we thought about a very similar idea indeed.
My plan is to really make bw different than gur. This is how they will work:
WB: Team work, go wide rater than big, surviving, use every resource, take over an alien world.
Creature types: Human, avens, demones, elementals, rhinos.
GUR: The alien world, Volteron-Style: Go big rater then wide, mix many components into one big spell, discovering cool combos, ever-changing creatures, mana rich land.
Creature types: Illusions, elementals, Psyon (New creature type with new ability)
