The art is not only all by the same artist, it's all from the same amazing graphic novel! Although it's been a challenge, there is no way I would have been able to make it this far if not for my great respect and admiration for Hayao Miyazaki and Nausicaa. If anyone out there hasn't read the graphic novel, PLEASE DO. It's more relevant today than ever.
Changes to commons (some cards were moved to uncommon and replaced) (cards with pilot give p/t boost equal to their own p/t, they start off with abilities)
A good idea if you need lots of critical feedback is to post batches of commons on the main thread. Anyway I'll be keeping an eye on this as I really enjoy the manga/movie.
I'm at the point where I want my friends to playtest so that I can tweak power levels/mana costs. However before I print a bunch of cards, I'd like to smooth the obvious kinks. Hopefully I won't have to scrap entire colors though. I think some of the difficulty is figuring out how to support a variety of dech archtypes within a smaller sized set.
Glad to hear you're a Nausicaa fan, I hope my interpretation meets your expectations!
First of all great idea for a set, never read the manga but watched the movie, and it was quite good.
The aerial theme of the set will be interesting to play I think, even though it's weird that all colours have so many fliers in comparison to another set.
@Black:
Good ability, but it's antisynergetic to the very strong tribal soldier cards. The benefits some cards have throuh discard don't outweigh the loss of power up all your soldiers have if you discard a soldier instead of just playing it. The black soldiers basically have a weaker Coat of Arms ability, which is very strong! It might be worth losing flying and just go broad with fat soldiers.
@White:
Also very nice, Live should play like Allies, just more restricted. Through the common token mother you will get a lot of triggers in one round, that card might be a problem.
I'm not sure but I think Clan Brig is pointless. Declaring Blockers doesn't use the stack, so whatever ability ignites by declaring a blocker will happen after all blockers are declared, so getting flying then might be useless then most of the time.
Red, blue and green are really cool, I always loved the Aurochs ability allthough it didn't work so well in their set.
I can tell you had a good look at the cards, as your observations are excellent.
The black soldier tribal ability was originally tacked on because I didn't have any good ideas for those cards. I didn't want them to be the focus point of the set, but I also didn't want any vanillas. In one of Maro's articles about Coldsnap, a small set that was meant to be drafted solo like my own, he talked about giving players incentive to pick multiples of the same cards. That's when I decided to try out the current ability. I was hoping it could be a sub strategy during draft. Indeed cards like surrounded and body replacement surgery work well enough with the black soldiers, but that they do not work well with the Ruthless cards is a fact that I should have addressed sooner. I'm still not sure if the black soldiers would appear frequently enough in draft to be overpowered, but why waste design space? It would do me some good to make them more usefull to more deck archtypes. I'm on it. ( I also see that you suggested scrapping the flyers in favor of more soldiers. Not a bad idea, but this set has been built extremely top down. I'm not sure I could find art capable of replacing what I have currently.)
While we're on black, and Ruthless, I'd like to throw out another of my internal debates. The three common Ruthless cards all require that you discard a particular card type. Human for Warrior Monks, ship for Tragic Profit, and land for Slash and Burn. This is done for flavor reasons only, so as to better tell a story with the card. I suppose it also pushes players in a direction in deck building, but that's probably a bad thing. For gameplay's sake I may need to lift the restriction so that any card can be discarded. Although I'm not 100% sure.
Live is indeed like Allies, perhaps stronger since there are so many humans in this set. Indeed looking at my mechanics none are so groundbreaking. Red is the vampire ability, green is a landfall variant, and blue cares about hand size (pretty normal for U). In a normal set I would never mash these abilities all together, but for the sake of representing the Nausicaa world I've put flavor first.
Mother of Many has been on my radar for awhile. I definitely want to make her a card, as the card concept and the gameplay fits so easily into what white is doing. However I share your concern. I could perhaps change all the lives so that they only trigger on nontoken humans. That weakens Mother of Many quite a bit, and Bread or Sword would lose relevancy as well. I'm also worried about the rate of token creation being overpowered (same goes for Nest Defender).
Wow I totally struck out with Clan Brig. I liked the idea of a making it the defensive version of Bummblecrow, and there is some synergy with Old Man of the Valley. Perhaps a change to "before you declare blockers target human you control gains flying until end of turn"? It's somewhat odd. hmmm
Thanks for checking out the set, and pointing me to kinks!!
( I also see that you suggested scrapping the flyers in favor of more soldiers. Not a bad idea, but this set has been built extremely top down. I'm not sure I could find art capable of replacing what I have currently.)
Oh I didn't mean you should scrap it, just as a black player I would not take many flyers into my deck if I still got soldier cards to choose. Mono B soldier deck with removal sounds like a good idea.

It is a nice card with very appropriate artwork, even though she apparently sends children into war
It's good that you made her trigger with nontokens, of course, but that makes Live a bit less uniform as it could be.

Maybe change it into "At the beginning of your opponents turn, if Clan Brig is untapped target human you conrol gains flying until end of turn"? Doesn't require it to block, but it can't help if it attacked the last turn. Makes it somewhat predictable though :/
I have made some changes, and you can now see the full set in its current form. At some point I may upload the images as previews here, but for now just check out the link. I still need to do allot of balancing and tweaking. Especially of the rares. Will hold a playtesting draft in the next few weeks. Thanks for checking out the set. It's been a labor of love. http://imgur.com/a/Oz730
I didn't read every card, but just glancing through them, the only unreasonable card I saw was Salvage Epicenter. I'm not entirely sure what it does, but it looks like the effect should be rare instead of common.
Rally the believers seems a bit overcosted, and probably not blue.
Mold Bomb seems a bit overpowered.

looking for feedback, card names, and card proposals for a handful or rare and mythic slots.
In a normal set Salvage Epicenter would not exist at all, but In the same way that conspiracy took some liberties and played around with the draft format, I took a few occasions to do something unusual. That said I agree it's pushing it at common, and could be reworded so that it's easier to understand.
I didn't think token making was very blue either, but lately we've seen Ojutai's Summons, Rise of Eagles, and Skywise Teachings as blue token creators. So I'm going to keep it. As for the cost, i've been uncertain. One concern is how it interacts with Live. Playtesting should help me find the right balance.
Mold Bomb would definitely be overpowered if it were a real card, but in the context of this set, and limited play? I'm not sure it has enough targets to matter all that much, and as much as I'd like to see monogreen be a thing, most people are going to be drafting multicolor decks. Still you have a point. I'll be paying special attention to it during playtests, and it's likely that I could take away its ability to destroy nonbasic lands and/or increase its cost a bit.
If you want the format to be similar to Conspiracy, I could see Salvage Epicenter at rare, but not at common.
the token makers in blue all tend to make fliers, whereas a bunch of 1/1s seems either white or red. I don't know enough about the flavor of this set to know why a bunch of humans would be blue. How about if you made them pilots?(either 0/1 or 1/1). That seems more blue to me, and would probably be closer to the right cost. As far as the overcosted goes, I'm thinking of how often Spell Mastery is relevant and it seems based on that you'd be hoping to get even 2 1/1s out of it. Maybe you have more cards it will hit in this set or more ways of filling graveyards for it to matter.
What if you changed Mold Bomb to allow you to use it whenever a forest enters play but it still only gets one use? Sort of like a prepaid, cheaper, sorcery speed naturalize. That would seem more like a real card to me.

I've made edits to a number of cards and also replaced a handfull. Although some have simply moved to uncommon.
Green's Swarm ability was replaced by the "Aurochs ability".
Aerial was keyworded and added to four cards (a semi cycle).
Black and Blue have most of the new cards.
I've also "finished" the rare creatures and planeswalkers. Not sure if it would be a good idea to skip the uncommon previews, but it sure is tempting.
Multi colored commons added
Uncommons revealed
10 rare bonus previews!
