Remember not to think about cost at this point, we're basically deciding what text boxes we like so I can add them to the card file where we can tweak them much more easily. (BTW, if you haven't set up an account on multiverse yet, now would be a good time.

If people don't have much more to add, I can just add these to the card file (where discussion can continue) and move onto the next round.
EDIT: By the way, is Respawn sorcery speed? I would assume so.
I would say yeah, to avoid "you cant attack because I will re spawn, block and kill" or "I can re spawn at the end of your turn so I don't deal with summoning sickness"
An interesting thing we can do, is word so you can respawn when you can cast a creature, giving some flash to respawn creatures at rare.
Otherwise yes sorcery speed seems fair.

Alright, so I have put the cards into the file and left my comments on them. You can now leave your own comments on a card-by-card basis. This will let us discuss which cards we want to put in the skeleton and how we want to tweak them. Head here to continue the discussion.
I think we need to break in our newest mechanic a little bit: this next round will be focused on Respawn. Come up with as many common respawn cards as you can, or cards that work well with respawn. (You can always submit random commons, but the focus is there to help guide our design process.)
We can also take this opportunity to name the mechanic. Which of the previous suggestions work best for you guys?

I would say no. Those colors will end up having more of the mechanic, so it makes sense to design more of them, but the mechanics will be in all five colors so if you have ideas for red and blue feel free to post them.

@5colors: It really helps if you have playtest names. They don't have to be good, or make sense, but it's incredibly difficult to keep cards straight when they're in a constant state of flux without a name.
@LnGrrrR: The mechanic does lend itself better to higher rarities, but I think there's enough potential for this to have at least one dedicated archetype (probably WB) in limited (which means it needs enough common support to exist).

Feedback is always welcome (and the feedback on Multiverse is going to play a very large role in shaping the set).
MaRo always says work hardest to easiest, so this next round will be for something we're sorely lacking: Non-creature cards. Instants, Sorceries, Artifacts (both equipment and non), and Enchantments. Feel free to get creative or as boring as you want, someone's gotta design the filler too!

Lost World Growth 2G

Enchant Land
Whenever enchanted land is tapped for mana, its controller adds one mana of any color to his or her mana pool.
As long as you control a legendary creature or planeswalker, whenever enchanted land is tapped for mana, its controller adds two mana in any combination of colors to his or her mana pool.

Theroes block has 26 legends, Theroes block had 13 legendary creature (we have 15 planned and I won't be surprised if we added in a few more one or two other one-shot legends so we already have a few more), with 8 at mythic rare and 5 at rare. Since we are planning on having 5 legends at mythic and 10 at rare, you are more likely to pull a legendary then in Theroes.
I sorta figured the cycle won't make it but I figured it would be a fun little cycle for limited and commander and it also gives a little more emphasis to our legendary supers.

"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
Using yeef's handy dandy as-fan calculator, we can see just how common opening a legend would be.
Assuming we only have those 15 legends (10 rare, 5 mythic), these are the odds:
Chance of opening a legend: .21
Chance in 3 packs (draft): .62
Chance in 6 packs (sealed): 1.24
Chance in 8 packs (one pack at a draft table): 1.64
Chance in 24 packs (entire draft): 4.96
Legends aren't that uncommon that I wouldn't be against a very small legends matter theme, but problem I feel is that it rubs against out p4 matters theme too much.

@LnGrrrR: The mechanic does lend itself better to higher rarities, but I think there's enough potential for this to have at least one dedicated archetype (probably WB) in limited (which means it needs enough common support to exist).
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move."

I'm happy for you Piar, but I have to question your priorities. Is taking a huge, life-changing step with the person you love most really more important than making up trading cards?

MaRo always says work hardest to easiest, so this next round will be for something we're sorely lacking: Non-creature cards. Instants, Sorceries, Artifacts (both equipment and non), and Enchantments. Feel free to get creative or as boring as you want, someone's gotta design the filler too!

Forced Adaptation
"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
I sorta figured the cycle won't make it but I figured it would be a fun little cycle for limited and commander and it also gives a little more emphasis to our legendary supers.
"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
Assuming we only have those 15 legends (10 rare, 5 mythic), these are the odds:
Chance of opening a legend: .21
Chance in 3 packs (draft): .62
Chance in 6 packs (sealed): 1.24
Chance in 8 packs (one pack at a draft table): 1.64
Chance in 24 packs (entire draft): 4.96
Legends aren't that uncommon that I wouldn't be against a very small legends matter theme, but problem I feel is that it rubs against out p4 matters theme too much.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move."
