For Dreamscape I have a playtest coming up soon so I want to finalize the wording on a few cards.
Mindi, Child Dreamer
Legendary Creature - Human (R)
When Mindi, Child Dreamer enters the battlefield, put a legendary 7/7 blue and red Elemental creature token with dreamwalk and trample named Mr. Grumpy onto the battlefield.
When Millia leaves the battlefield, exile all tokens put onto the battlefield with it.
1/1
Does the second ability work as worded?
Crusade of the Daymas
Sorcery (R)
At the end of your next combat phase, untap all creatures then there's an additional combat phase followed by an additional main phase.
Memoir (When this card is put into your graveyard from anywhere, including after you cast it, You may cast a copy by paying its memoir cost.)
Does this work with the memoir able to be activated at instant speed?
Anamnezoa
Creature - Jellyfish (R)
Flying
Whenever you pay a memoir cost, you may make an additional copy of that memoir spell.
2/2
Is this the correct wording?
Dream Frontier
Land (U)
: Add 1 to your mana pool.
, Tap another untapped creature you control, it doesn't untap during your next untap step: Add one mana of any color to your mana pool.
Any reason why "it doesn't untap during your next untap step" in the cost wouldn't work?
Mindi, Child Dreamer - She does have the Parallax Wave problem. If you can get rid of her before the enter trigger resolves, then the leaves trigger will resolve first, then the token will be created. Depending on if that is an issue, it could use an intervening "if CARDNAME is on the battlefield" like Tombstone Stairwell. It could also be combined into one ability so that Turn to Frog can't allow you to keep the token.
When Mindi, Child Dreamer enters the battlefield, if she is on the battlefield, put a legendary 7/7 blue and red Elemental creature token with dreamwalk and trample named Mr. Grumpy onto the battlefield. When Mindi leaves the battlefield, exile that token.
- Not a rules issue, but would Illusion be a better dream-like creature type for the token?
Crusade of the Daymas - World at War is the precedent for weirdly worded Relentless Assault variant. This is even weirder since you can end up casting it during another player's turn and get the effect during your next turn. I'm not sure exactly what the wording should be because of that. As it is currently worded though, you would have to cast it before combat (or at least by the combat damage step using memoir).
- Given odd tapped/untapped benefits in this set, maybe this should be "... you may untap any number of creatures that attacked this turn"?
Anamnezoa - Maybe?
If you pay a memoir cost to cast a copy of a card, you may cast an additional copy of that card.
Whenever you pay a memoir cost to cast a copy of a card, you may copy that spell. You may choose new targets for that copy.
Dream Frontier - WotC avoids costs that are really effects that will happen some time in the future. Chronatog, Avizoa, etc.
- Does it need to keep the creature locked down? Springleaf Drum does a similar thing without keeping the creature tapped. Anyway, if you want to move it out of the cost, then I think:
T, Tap an untapped creature you control: Add one mana of any color to your mana pool. The tapped creature doesn't untap during your next untap step.
