So I have an idea for a mechanic, but it kind of hinges on the idea that the creature is only dealt damage once during combat and when I need it to be 'huge' it takes into account 'that much damage'.
Edit: I mean if more than one creature blocks.
Blueguard 2U
Honorable - Whenever ~ is dealt combat damage, draw a card.
1/3
Redblaster 2RR
Honorable - Wheneves ~ is dealt combat damage, it deals that much damage to target creature.
3/2
Why? It encourages the player with the characters to not 'cheat' with stuff like 'prevent damage' but the opponent to cheat by 'destroying' or 'blasting' the creature before damage is traded.
A creature "is dealt" damage once. "Is dealt" refers to a moment of time that the combat damage was dealt. If the intention is so that it triggers for each creature that dealt combat damage to this creature, it would have to be worded "Whenever a creature deals combat damage to ~, ...."

Actually that is perfect (thanks so much!)... I like the idea but I was afraid of multi-hits making multi triggers, which could be abused with a 'lure' type spell. If it only triggers once with my wording, then I know what to expect each time the creature blocks or is blocked and nothing prevents the damage.
The only way it would work to multi-trigger is when it has a wording like Boros Reckoner. So, ...Is dealt combat damage, draw that many cards, like the way your "Redblaster" card is worded.
So don't worry on those multi-triggers, unless you want them to work. Keep in mind the ability will have two triggers when double strike is involved.

Whats the big deal about black lotus you ask? Well you see, there is no big deal about it. It IS the big deal.

Redblaster only triggers once, and the amount of damage it deals is equal to the total amount of damage dealt to it during the one time it received combat damage to trigger the ability.

Thanks, yeah, if I do this mechanic for sure the 'equal to damage' abilities might be limited to hurting creatures, gaining life or maybe milling but it is dangerous to make it say player damage, card draw or whatever.
