ok but seriously this card kicks ass. Im afraid it might even be too powerful for it to be printed. I mean, the 3 life DOES seem a little steep, but i think that it would see massive play in most formats. As mentioned before you can fetch manlands or the zen/wwk lands that have effects. This is an instant speed kerji steppes against certain decks.
Also, the land doesnt come into play tapped. That's huge.
Seriously though, if people think that 3 life is too much for a land, they should look at every extended zoo deck that has been dominating the format. Fetch+ravnica shockland= 3 life. The only difference is that this is much more versatile in some cases, and much better in some cases, and worse in a few cases.
I absolutely love the design of this card. Powerful effect in Standard that only gets more powerful the older the format you play - more skill-intensive, too. Love that it doesn't put the land into play tapped. REALLY wish this was a real card.
Don't like the flavor text, though. I'm a fan of the "It's everywhere you've never been" suggestion from page 1. Though I would change 'everywhere' to 'anywhere' since it only gets a single land.
Honestly I think the only format it would be played in for the "3 life cost" is EDH, in which every deck would have it. Honestly in EDH I would name this card just so I could grab theirs learn more about their deck while looking for it and pick a different land with the second one.
I'd gladly bolt myself to steal my opponent's Tolarian Academy in VIntage.
This card is busted in Vintage period, it would practically be restricted before it even hit the scene. Maybe they would wait a while to see how bad it would be but trust me the only decks this card doesn't do much against in vintage is aggro decks.
This card is good in every format. As soon as you know what color your opponent is playing in standard, it's AT LEAST a colorless land. At best, it's a dual or man-land for you! Game 2 and 3 it's even better.
In eternal formats, it has a similar function, but the things it can potentially grab are waaay better.
Sick card. Whoever thought of the mechanic, great job.

Some facts of magic:
-Terror is an emotion which, when experienced, results in death.
-The pox was a disease notorious for having killed one-third, rounded up, of Europe’s population. Smallpox, on the other hand, killed only a single person.
-A person riding a horse cannot be stopped by foot soldiers, large animals, walls, archers, or even catapults.
This land is so overpowered it's not funny, it would warp entire formats and be played as a 4 of in almost any deck. Seriously it's the Tarmogoyf of lands and would never see printing.
Also the flavor text seems odd.
But don't get me wrong I love the card, very cool. The art is amazing and the life loss is the only thing actually balancing it. Remember life is a resource and the only point of life you can't afford to lose is the last point. Also it's sick in a landfall deck... landfall guy in play, steal an opponents fetch (that is in color for you) after dropping this and pop the fetch to find a land = 3 landfall triggers off one land.

Still, great job with this one, folks.
Honestly, it's most degenerate in Standard and Extended, not older formats. This card gives you three landfall triggers, something that would really push Zoo over the edge in Extended and would probably affect Standard a lot. Also, if they know you are also playing this land, they will gladly pay 15 life to make their Steppe Lynx attack for 14 on turn 2. But in Vintage? Sure, it's great if you're playing Tezz or storm combo against Tezz or storm combo, but what if you're playing against Fish? Against them it's basically a fetch land, only it costs 3 life. Then you have Workshop, where it's basically a colorless land that costs 3 life. That's really bad. Worst case is you get matched against manaless Dredge where it's completely dead. And this card is part of your mana base, it's not like you can side it out in matchups where it's bad, then your deck doesn't have enough mana. Also naming Library of Alexandria or Tolarian Academy is risky, not only are these cards not universally played even in Vintage "control" decks, but they could have it in hand.

Maybe I am wrong but playing this with Manabond and Life from the Loam would be devastating alongside Wasteland and Ghost Quarter.
I have a few questions for all of you who think this isn't good in standard:
T1 your opponent plays a forest. What deck is he playing?
A) elfdrazi
B) jund
C) bant or mystic
D) G monument
E) boss naya
F) RG monument
H) BG polymorgh
If you play this card and run across any of the above decks you should know what land to call first. Forest. If your running green, then this land is a sac land that lets you see:
A) your opponents win conditions
B) how they plan to get there
C) anything they may have to stop you
D) any non-basic land they have so if you get this card again you know what to call next time
E) (if your running Pithing Needle/Thought Hemmerge side or main) what to name if you have a chance
Hey even if you know that your opponent is playing 2 or more colors and can't find his 2nd color you could try to mana screw them by calling it and taking the color they need.
That's power imo.

You can reach out to Chuck Norris for help, but all you will get back are broken fingers.
I have some issues with the flavor text. It seems like a clunky play on Vesuva's flavor text and mars what is otherwise a decent card with many creative applications. Good work overall though.
It should search the opponent's library. "Tap for colorless" shouldn't be on it; it's supposed to be like a thievish Terramorphic Expanse as I understand it. I know that in some formats you can safely assume early in the game which lands your opponent is running, but in a casual game, if you're playing against a deck for the first time, you'll pretty much just lose 3 life for a basic land that might not even be in your colors.
Our card searches the opponent's library.
It's everywhere you want to be.
(Visa reference for all you nubz0rs)
haha yes! That would be awesome.
