Wildwood Tangliers1GG
Creature - Wall (U)
Flash
Defender
When Wildwood Tangliers enters the battlefield, it can block an additional creature this turn.
Creatures being blocked by Wildwood Tangliers get -2/-0. "Pin its arms! No, its other arms!"
1/4
A weird card for its color. Blocking an additional creature is typically white, but not beyond being spread around. Decreasing power is more blue.
Iridescent BarrierWW
Creature - Wall {R)
Defender
Prevent all damage that would be dealt to walls you control.
As long as you control 2 or more other walls, you and walls you control have hexproof.
0/4
Rather strong. In some ways worse than Fog Bank by virtue of being harder to cast. I don't know if the last ability is worth it, but it could be tempting.
Cannon Rampart
Creature — Wall (U)
Defender
Whenever a creature you control with defender blocks a creature, Cannon Rampart deals 2 damage to that creature's controller. "Walls can be scaled if given enough time. Let's assure our assailants do not have the time."
0/4
Illusionary Rampart1U
Creature - Illusion Wall (C)
Defender
When Illusionary Rampart is dealt damage or is targeted by a spell or ability, sacrifice it. Such a wall must be...impossible.
5/5
Cheaper Phantasmal Abomination with an additional downside. Fair, if not particularly exciting.
The Driftwood CathedralWWB
Creature - Wall (R)
Defender
When The Driftwood Cathedral dies, put target creature from a graveyard onto the battlefield with converted mana cost less or equal the damage that was dealt this turn to The Driftwood Cathedral. “As salty waves march along the mortal shores, the remnants of our lives touch the realm of angels. Azrael takes us back into his house, scooping up the silt of our lives and carrying them to safety.”

Art by
Curious Wall. This seems balanced enough, but I'm not sure. I like it though.
Celestial BarricadeWU
Creature - Wall (U)
Flash
Defender
When Celestial Barricade enters the battlefield, you and creatures you control gains hexproof until end of turn.
0/3
Nifty. Also manages to avoid stepping on Hindering Light's toes.
This is a fine enough design. If anything it's a little safe and boring, as this type of design has certainly been done before and is one of the first things that comes to mind when you think of walls. That being said this certainly seems stronger then many of them and could maybe even be modern playable in certain decks. I can't really get too excited about this for some reason though.
This is a pretty simple and elegant design. That being, it feels really boring and unoriginal. It's basically a French vanilla wall, which just feels boring for a contest about the most interesting wall design.
This is a pretty cool design. However I can't help but think it needs a little something extra. I have no problem with simplistic, elegant designs like this is, but from a gameplay point of view this is just kind of boring, basically serving as a moat stapled onto a creature. I dunno, maybe if it had flash or something. I still like this though, at least from a design point of view.
This is a cool one. Very original, simple but interesting, leads to nice gameplay, strong but balanced. I'm surprised a card like this hasn't already been made honestly. I suppose it is a tad bland, but I don't really think much more is needed, or even wanted.
Cool design that's certainly very original. It doesn't really capture my attention as much as I wish it would and it doesn't feel especially wall-like either, but I do have to applaud you for thinking outside of the box.
Flavorwise, this is on point. However the design itself is a tad underwhelming. I get what you're trying to do but it honestly doesn't seem that strong. Or interesting. It's not a terrible design by any means, but I can't find myself getting very excited about it either.
Bexexexe - so green had had a 3 mana 1/4 wall before but this one with a significant upside, ie: flash and double block the first time it enters the battlefield, plus -2/-0 ability.. this seems like a pretty sick wall to be drafted
Figurative - this is a rare worthy wall, i could see this in white controls with the other walls being the Wall of Omen.. this surely is powerful wall especially with the hexproof and upgrading all of your wall.. this could even be the start of a wall tribal deck
Flatline - this wall is so flavorful where i can imagine creatures attacking it and the cannon wall shooting back in defense hitting the commander of the creature this is one cool design!
Koopa - illusionary wall.. hmm i've got not much comment on this but this sure blocks stuff with such a high p/t
mirrodin71 - this is a funny wall.. this could be set up in such a way that when this dies, you can return something that is in par with the creatures it blocks.. but making sure something already in the graveyard for the reanimation could be difficult..
IcariiFA - this wall is actually simply force your opponent to maximize their first main phase since everything cost more post combat if this wall blocks.. a funny white walls that is very white in ability...
kjsharp There are WAY too many things going on here, not to mention this card is oppressive. TheRealStinkyJoeTerry I don't think this card is healthy in that it really shuts down attacking moreso then wrath of god effects normally would just by sticking to the board. Sure it can be removed, but I don't think its the best direction to push the game into. drewdagreek: This would probably be a more interesting card if the wall itself had the ability. Sure it'd be worse, but the flavor and dynamic of "It tapped to defend a creature so now it can't block" would make for interesting decisions. Theelkspeaks: This is a really interesting idea. I dont think it actually needs the "lose indestructible" clause. It would cut the complexity and I still thing it'd be totally fair as a constant way to cut a creatures damage by two. With that ability, it loses elegance and makes the care not worthwhile. Turbler: Interesting. Seems fair-ish. The pump ability is still pretty powerful starting at 4 toughness. Strong pro and potentially strong con. RaikouRider: I think the idea of a deathtouch defender is a good idea, I just don't think the numbers here are quite right. It still feels like it hurts limited pretty bad.
netn10: Reminds me a lot of Wall of Blossoms, a card that saw extensive tournament play. I'm surprised this hasn't been done yet.
kjsharp: So this is for the Time Spiral sequel right? I like the attempt at making a mythic defender, but this card feels way too busy for my tastes. I feel the numbers on it are right, but it's got too many abilities.
TheRealStinkyJoeTerry: I feel this is fine if all creatures are destroyed at end of combat. As is this is a fog and a wrath for 1WW - far too strong even if unconditional sweeps cost four mana.
drewdagreek: Templating's wrong - needs to specify "a creature named Stalhaven Rampart" because it's not referring to itself. I like the concept though.
Theelkspeaks: Fog Bank says this card needs more toughness, especially considering it only stops two damage per turn. I like the idea but the numbers need to be changed.
Turbler: Not sure if this necessarily needs the "blocks all if able" clause. Very difficult to evaluate.

A mere ten days after the Mending, a young knight of Valeron and a young ranger of Eos made a discovery that would change Alara forever.
Jimmy Groove – That’s a lot of mana but with a huge payoff, though I’m not sure it needs haste if you can only make it on your end step. Also, your Walls should have defender.
SnowBlack1021 – This is a weird choice but I like it – by giving up a turn to block, you get the chance to hit some damage onto the opposing player on your own turn. I don’t know if it leads to unfun play patterns by discouraging attacking too much, so I have some concerns, but I think it can work well!
netn10 – At the cost of one life, this cycles and gives you a 0/5 body. It’s certainly a powerful design, but I can’t say it feels so overwhelming as to be too pushed. Well done!
kjsharp – This almost does too much, and phasing is a mostly retired mechanic due to the inherent complexity. That said, as mythic, the complexity might not be too much.
TheRealStinkyJoeTerry – I don’t especially like it, it feels like it forces the opponent to not attack or eat a 3 mana wrath. There’s a reason Wrath effects cost four or more mana, and putting it on a body that has to block isn’t enough of a reason to put one below four, especially given that the decks that want a wrath effect would often settle for preventing opponent for attacking.
drewdagreek – I like the idea of a wall that can absorb your opponents’ negative effects, but I think the tap ability probably works better belonging to the wall itself rather than being put onto your other creatures. On the whole though, I love the idea!
Theelkspeaks: I like the flavor of this, though I think it could be perhaps a 0/3? It's a neat effect either way. drewdagreek: The slight wording issue has been noted, that aside this is very flavorful, and a reasonable card in general. TheRealStinkyJoeTerry: I like the design, though I do think it would be more fair at four. kjsharp: I'd rather this cost more and suspend 2 the opponent's stuff, since suspend 1 is mostly just a tempo benefit, though there's nothing intrinsically wrong with that it'd be nice if it was more versatile. The phasing is niche but the kind of weird stuff that goes on mythics, and it fits nicely with the suspending. netn10: Simple, effective. Maybe slightly too large? Wall of Omens saw a fair bit of play and the 1 life isn't a huge detriment by comparison. I really like the flavor text on this one, and flavor is extra important on the simpler cards IMO. SnowBlack1021: Nice to see a non-attacking exert effect. I find it hard to imagine a constructed deck that would want to exert their blocker for a lava spike, but it's interesting and I could see it playing a role in limited. Doesn't seem rare though, I'd say uncommon at the highest.
It was pretty tough picking a top 3 this round. Everybody's cards were pretty good.
Figurative - Hmmm, I'm just not sure about this one. If you can manage to assemble this with a couple of Wall of Faiths, it is going to be impossible to get to you without going wide or having non-damage oriented board wipe. At the very least I think this thing should also prevent all damage Walls you control would deal as well, kinda like Fog Bank. I would really like to playtest this thing to see how it would actually play. At the very least, it gets my Johnny blood pumping.
Bexexexe - I like that this card is so simple, yet has so much going on all at the same time. The -2/-0 ability makes me think this might need some blue in it as well though. The flavor text is great.
mirrodin71 - This is a pretty nifty reanimation effect. I like it. I think it would be better if it could only target a creature in your own graveyard, and was worded as follows..."When ~ dies, return target creature card with converted mana cost X or less from your graveyard to the battlefield, where X is equal to the amount of damage dealt to ~ this turn".
Koopa - The Illusion effect on a Wall. Nothing exciting, but a solid design. This could definitely see print.
RaikouRider - This is nice and simple. A little too simple perhaps? I see no reason you couldn't have gotten away with giving it reach. As it is, your card could easily be a common IMO. You make up for the simplicity of the card a bit with some excellent flavor text though. This is another card that could easily see print.
Turbler - This card is a bit difficult to evaluate for me. It might as well be a Holy Day if you tap out 3rd turn for this if your opponent has four or more total power on the battlefield. There are a lot of situations in which this thing is just going to hit the battlefield and die. Still, even in those situations it does a good job of preventing damage, which is what Walls are for after all. The card does have some upside beyond that though. All in all, I think I rather like this, but I'd have to playtest it to know for sure.
