Theme
This month we're playing with expectations a little, stepping slightly out of the comfort zone of what we usually get in Magic while still trying to make something that feels familiar.
This first challenge has stemmed from an ongoing discussion between myself and willows, among others. The question at hand is, which "iconic" creature type is hardest to take out of color? Obviously plenty of worlds have horizontal cycles of Dragons, but beyond that it's a real challenge to make one of these creature types feel right in a color it's not usually in, so tied are they to their colors' flavor. However, it certainly can be done, and done interestingly.
Challenge
Design a nonwhite Angel, nonblue Sphinx, nonblack Demon, nonred Dragon, or nongreen Hydra.
The card can be any color, colors, or lack thereof as long as it's not its "primary color". One could make a colorless Angel or black-red Hydra.
Make sure to include a rarity.

Seems a bit odd to have a non-flying Sphinx but I can see your point. your 3/10 'wake up, but keep getting bigger, while not blocking. I Like the them and idea, but this can get too big, too quick.

Definitely red with the randomness, and tutoring is a Sphinxy thing. It might be a bit pushed, but not pushed too far.

Interesting. It would get a little powerful with the wild pump everywhere. It does feel small at 4/4 for its effect, but the forestwalk and effect.. I think it makes it too much. I'm make it bigger and ditch forestwalk.

Well Kamigawa did this, but the effect is usually White.. so a white into red effect is good for this challenge. It works for me.

Some minor wording issues, because you can untap an untapped creature.
^it's not odd for an egyptian stone sphinx to not have wings/not fly
One of the things WotC doesn't do are viable cards with heavy randomness. Imagine searching for a Lightning Bolt, lose the flip and then lose the game because of it.
Not exactly a great feeling. Other than that it's an interesting way for red to tutor, but the card is really rather weak. 6 mana 5/5 flying is nothing great and the tutor is during the upkeep, so you'll have to wait for it
AND it has a triple drawback. This is rare at best.
There's a nice portion of green in this card. Seems appropriate that a green angel inspires to overrun. But it is terribly unimaginative. Overrun on a stick with flying.
Cute. A nice build around me card, well within the colorpie and still feels sphinxy. Would have fitted great into Theros as well.
I advice to put the rarity in brackets, this way it reads like a creature type. "~ can block a number of creatures equal to the amount of +1/+1 counters on it." No need for the 'additional' in the last ability, also would probably be best worded using X.
A cool card, very flavorful. Not entirely sold on it being white, the card still feels green to me. It's also really powerful. Might need to cost an additional W. Or G maybe?
The ability word Manaburst needs to be italic. Pretty cool card all around. I like the mechanic and how it rewards both mono-colored casting and multi-colored casting of the card. Not sure if it feels very much like a Hydra. It's almost like some kind of weird reverse-hydra.
Well, that's a terrible guardian. Very effective at attacking, because hard to race and it constantly lets out the undead. Those deathtouch tokens make for great blockers though. Kinda reads like a keyword party. It's a solid card, but a bit bland.

Temporary doubling is mostly a green effect.. but that makesit hydra-like.. and its sort a shade effect. Still black, feeling green-ish Some minor wording issues, because you can untap an untapped creature.

Not exactly a great feeling. Other than that it's an interesting way for red to tutor, but the card is really rather weak. 6 mana 5/5 flying is nothing great and the tutor is during the upkeep, so you'll have to wait for it
AND it has a triple drawback. This is rare at best.
A cool card, very flavorful. Not entirely sold on it being white, the card still feels green to me. It's also really powerful. Might need to cost an additional W. Or G maybe?
