On the plane of Iquatana, lifeforms are forced to change because of the atmosphere, made of pure aether. Some lifeforms evolved the ability to resist the urges to change coming from the plane itself, and started studying this phenomenon. To this day, because of the inability to produce results, the only place where this subject is still studied is the secluded academy of Dor'Iqua, located in a grove hidden in the midst of a glacier. Here, recent studies concluded that there has to be a correlation between lifeforms and aether, since one affects the other in some ways: the aether forces the creatures to turn into other things and the creatures possess some form of premonition of the changes that could happen. In this academy, a professor

Whenever you cast a spell, choose creature or noncreature, then reveal the top card of your library. If it's of the chosen type, you may cast it without paying its mana cost. Otherwise, you may put it on the bottom of your library. "The answer is in the aether, both closer and further than you can imagine."

Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, put a +1/+1 counter on target creature. "Animals and aether interlock each other in ways I have yet to comprehend."

under his wing as a help to his research: the final connection between the atmosphere and the changes of life, and how aether influences minds as well as bodies. Months go by, until what was left of an ancient colony is found in the bottom of an aether pit, and in it, there's a stone etched with ancient writings about the atmosphere

Whenever you cast a spell, you may look at the top three cards of your library and put them back in any order. "The future belongs to those who dare seek it."

Choose creature or noncreature. Draw cards equal to the number or cards in your library, then you may cast any number of spells of the chosen type without paying their mana cost. At the end of turn, shuffle your hand into your library. In the midst of the aether storm, Vaio-Ran whispered in fear what he finally understood: "All is one, and I am nothing."
But knowledge had a cost: after mastering the flow of aether none of them remembered anything. It is said that Iquatana itself made it so, to protect its very nature and essence. (thank you for reading this.)
Konjin, a plane where ancient artificers used to create Kongohki, mana-charged suits of armor of immense beauty and power (yeah, it's ancient mecha). Though the mysteries of their art have been lost to time, their legacy lives on, as the powers that be struggle to fill their coffers with as many Kongohki as possible. Naturally, most of them are already owned by someone, so these acquisitions are done either through political machinations or breath-taking duels of epic proportions. Some say that each Kongohki is imbued with its creator's very soul, becoming the source of its power and even giving advice to its owner beyond death.
My personal favorite region of Konjin is Togoshima - small mountainous island known for its endemic fauna - here you can find giant cycadas (Semi), merfolks (Kappa) and predatorous Togoshima hawks.
(While creating Togoshima, I was inspired by Enoshima, tiny and absolutely adorable Japanese island with bridge and lighthouse... and hawks, yes.)
Whatever, the main showplace of Togoshima is Lookout Tower, spontaneous lab and also school of wizards who want to discover the secrets of Kongohki, repair, reinforce them and maybe even replicate them. School is ruled by vigorous human wizard Kai Mazann.
Kai Mazann likes to use kappas to find drowned parts of Kongohki and do many other experiments as well:

When Togoshima Acolyte enters the battlefield, exile the top card of your library. You may cast that card. If you don't, put the top three cards of your library into your graveyard. North coast of Togoshima is covered with craters due to many failed experiments.

Kai Mazann, Keeper of Togoshima1UR
Legendary Creature - Human Wizard (M) x, t: Look at the top X cards of your library. You may reveal an artifact card from among them and put it into your hand. If X is 5 or greater, put it onto the battlefield instead. Put the rest into your graveyard.
Whenever an artifact enters the battlefield under your control or put into your graveyard from anywhere, Kai Mazann, Keeper of Togoshima, deals 1 damage to each opponent.

Their experiments with Kongohki require accuracy, but mistakes may occur. Don't worry, next time they will find a way to do something with broken ones.

Return X artifact cards from your graveyard to your hand. Put twice that many top cards of your library into your graveyard. "Many of priceless details were spoiled, but the final result totally worth it." —Kai Mazann
When ancient monsters awakened and Attack of Kaiju started, Togoshima was on the point of impact because Ikamaru brood came straight from the sea. But unprepared doesn't mean defenseless, oh no!

Other creatures you control get +0/+1. 1UU, t, Discard an artifact card with converted mana cost X: Counter target noncreature spell with converted mana cost equal or less than X. Togoshima walls can't compare to Avashi ones. In terms of height, yes...
