Nesting Pteranodon
Creature — Pterosaur (U)
Flying
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may pay . If you do, create a 1/1 blue Pterosaur creature token with flying. Most pterosaurs build their nests on high crags overlooking the sea. This allows them to raise their young far out of the reach of most predators, while also giving them an excellent vantage point for their own predatory needs.
2/2
The card is solid but I’m not convinced about the choice of creature types. It seems overly specific when something like Dinosaur or Lizard would have been fine.
Emperor Sloth2GG
Creature — Sloth (R)
Reach, trample
At the beginning of each combat phase, you may pay GGG. If you don't, Emperor Sloth cannot attack or block this turn. Majestic in their own right, emperor sloths move only when they feel like it or are offered some sweet, sweet leaves.
7/7
I get that you’re trying to make the ‘feed the sloth’ mechanic make it feel slow but that flavor doesn’t come across very well to me; a sloth is just slow all the time, not slow most of the time but you can speed it up with sufficient effort.
Colossal Snail2G
Creature - Snail (U)
At the beginning of each combat, target creature an opponent controls of an opponent's choice gains first strike until end of turn. Problems tend to accumulate slowly.
4/4
Here’s another attempt to make a ‘slow’ mechanic. I like this a bit better but this wording is not functional for multiplayer games.
Underbrush Rustler1W
Creature - Hedgehog (C)
Defender T: ~ deals 1 damage to target attacking creature. Unsurprisingly, it is the end of many a springjack ride. 0/3
Disruptive Vermin1GG
Creature - Beaver (U) T, Sacrifice a Forest: Create a colorless Logjam artifact token. T, Sacrifice a Logjam: Destroy target artifact or Island. G, Tap an untapped Logjam you control: Target creature you control gets +1/+1 or -1/+3 until end of turn.
2/2
I’m not sure why the third ability exists here but I think you did a rad job of making a top-down Beaver.
I'll go simple and try to extend a mechanic they're trying in Kaladesh.
Brushland Bounder3G
Creature - Kangaroo (C)
Brushland Bounder cannot be blocked by creatures with power 2 or less. The graceful beasts leaped deftly over me; They were the kings of the outlands, I was simply beneath their notice. - Journal of Duralla the Wastewalker
3/3
Royal Walrus1WU
Creature - Walrus {R}
Royal Walrus gets +1/+0 as long as you control a Plains.
Royal Walrus gets +0/+1 as long as you control an Island.
Prevent all damage that would be dealt to Royal Walrus by noncreature sources. The ideal companion for exploring the Tundarian wastes. 3/3
I like the last ability, it nicely represents the layer of fat. The pump abilities feel kinda gimmicky/tacked on though. Most of the time you're controlling an island and a plains anyway.
Disruptive Vermin1GG
Creature - Beaver (U) T, Sacrifice a Forest: Create a colorless Logjam artifact token. T, Sacrifice a Logjam: Destroy target artifact or Island. G, Tap an untapped Logjam you control: Target creature you control gets +1/+1 or -1/+3 until end of turn.
2/2
Nice top-down design. The last ability is a bit weird though. I guess it's supposed to represent how the beavers use their dam as a "fortress", but just giving the Logjams stats like 0/2 and defender would've been more intuitive imo.
Colossal Snail2G
Creature - Snail (U)
At the beginning of each combat, target creature an opponent controls of an opponent's choice gains first strike until end of turn. Problems tend to accumulate slowly.
4/4
I think it would've been better if the first strike thing was tied more closely to blocking or being blocked by the snail.
7/7
The "sleeping giant" feeling comes across very well. Something about the "pay mana every turn" thing makes this card feel kind of ... old.
2/2
I don't think "Pterosaur" needs to be a separate creature type; "dinosaur" would do. Also, while the {R} in the cost represents the cliffs the pterosaurs breed on, it doesn't feel that flavorful to me.
Brushland Bounder3G
Creature - Kangaroo (C)
Brushland Bounder cannot be blocked by creatures with power 2 or less. The graceful beasts leaped deftly over me; They were the kings of the outlands, I was simply beneath their notice. - Journal of Duralla the Wastewalker.
3/3
Raptorchan - We do have Slugs in Magic, but Snails are an interesting addition too. The drawback here is pretty funky; it does have precedent in green with Spitting Slug, and I do like green having "slow strike" drawbacks, but the fact that any creature can get first strike off this, and not just its own blockers and blocked creatures.
drewdagreek - Very simple card with some new-style evasion; this mechanic works pretty well with a Kangaroo, which seems like a creature type that wouldn't get used very often, but it's definitely not covered by any existing types. I could also see Kangaroos with reach.
RaikouRider - I've made Walrus creatures before. This is most likely going to always be a 4/4 for 1WU with an additional good ability, which is kind of over the top even at rare.
Jimmy Groove - Not sure if this is technically supposed to be the mundane raccoon dog or the mythological trickster Tanuki, but it appears as if it's the latter. You've made Tanukis before, I recall, but this is a pretty interesting iteration. Manipulative tap/untap plus removal dodging is a hard combination to evaluate.
Flintlock - Nessie! This is super strong, dodging both spot and mass removal - this ability could be better even than indestructible in some cases - and all on a 5/5 for five mana, in colors that aren't traditionally good at (non-flying) fatties. Not sure Plesiosaur would make it as an "actual" creature type, as it's perhaps too much of a technical term.
netn10 - This has some unusual flavor, but the combination of Perytons and Iquatana (a strange world we haven't seen much of) somehow works. Tranquility and vigilance work against each other somewhat, but at least the ability word leads to potentially interesting decisions, although I'm concerned it would cause too much inaction in the dedicated tranquility deck.
void_nothing - This definitely feels like a Beaver, but mechanically I'm not so sure I like this card in a vacuum. Are there other cards in the set that make Logjams? Maybe it's a Beaver thing? On its own this card seems slow and simewhat weak (it takes two turns and a Forest to destroy an artifact or Island), but if there were a lot of Logjamming Beavers in the set the second ability seems like more direct, narrow hate than Wizards would print these days (see the disappearance of protection from a color and intimidate). Also, the last ability really hurts my eyes from a Melvin standpoint because of the non-symmetry of it, and the fact that it seems like it doesn't really belong. BTW, "feels like a Beaver" and "Logjamming Beavers" might be the two most ridiculous things I've written on this sight.
Raptorchan - This is ok. I'm not sure how the FT makes sense with the mechanics. I would've made this so that whenever this attacks, it doesn't untap during its controller's next untap step, or at least had the first strike trigger whenever the Snail blocks or becomes blocked. Not a bad card, but I think it could've been better.
drewdagreek - Hmmm, I would think a Kangaroo might have reach, or be able to gain flying until end of turn. I guess I can see the flavor behind ability though. The flavor text helps a lot here. Otherwise, the card seems pretty solid, though it's not very exciting.
RaikouRider - This is basically a 4/4 for 3 that red will have a really hard time removing. This seems like more focused hate than Wiards would want to print these days (see my crit of void_nothing's card for further details). Also, it doesn't seem very Walrusy to me.
Jimmy Groove - I like the flavor of this, it seems to capture the Tanuki vibe pretty well (although I would've liked some FT on the flip side). My main complaint is that the card seems really slow and weak to me. It would be nice if the backside did something.
Flintlock - This card is pretty cool. I made an Angel that did pretty much the same thing, but only triggered on instants and sorceries. It's really pretty strong since it dodges pretty much all forms of removal. The flavor is great, although I doubt Wizards would use the creature type Plesiosaur outside of a dinosaur based block, which this card wouldn't make any sense in (if dinos and plesiosaurs still existed, Nessie wouldn't be an Illusion, but just another animal). Outside of a dino block, I would see this just being a Serpent.

Savannah Giraffe4G
Creature — Giraffe (U)
Vigilance
Instant spells may be cast only when their caster may cast a sorcery. It sees everything coming a mile away.
3/3
The cost and the fact it's a 3/3 vigilance are fine. The main effect of the card is a bit odd; considering the main card that comes to mind for slowing down instants is Teferi, a dedicated time mage who costs UUU, I'm not certain I buy this as an effect on what appears to be a standard Giraffe, or even on a green card. That said, it fits if you think of it as messing up trickery, and I guess if you use adventure game logic, you can justify it on a giraffe :P.
Dolphin Pod (Rare) 2UU
Creature - Dolphin
2/2
At the beginning of your upkeep, put a +1/+1 counter on Dolphin Pod. Then, if Dolphin Pod has two or more +1/+1 counters on it, remove two +1/+1 counters from it and create a token copy of Dolphin Pod.
I feel like this card could quite easily be any creature that travels in a group. I also feel like it should probably be a green card, going strictly by its effect.
Guardian of IquatanaWUG
Creature - Peryton (Uncommon)
Flying, vigilance Tranquility - At the end of your turn, if you didn't attacked this turn, you draw a card and you gain 2 life. Pure and elegant, the majestic peryton stands unfazed against those who try to disturb the balance of nature.
2/4
I can't help but feel this could easily be a White/Blue card. Also not a fan of the nonbo between Vigilance and its ability. I get it's a guardian, so vigilance makes sense, but as a card, the anti-synergy turns me off.
Grimm BehemothR(B/R)(B/G)G
Creature - Grimm Beast (R)
Whenever a creature deals damage to Grimm Behemoth and Grimm Behemoth dies, return it to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it, then Grimm Behemoth deals damage equal to it’s power to other target creature.
Counters remain on Grimm Behemoth as it moves to any zone other than the player’s hand or library.
2/2
Well...I don't know much about RWBY, but I can't really see what the effect refers to on the wiki page; considering they turn to dust, wouldn't you exile it on death? Regardless, both the cost and effect seem...overly complicated.
7/7
Maybe it's just me, but this feels like the kind of card that might've been printed back in the days when creatures weren't very good :P. Admittedly, it'd probably have been 4GG instead, but you get what I mean. It's big (trample), climbs/lives in trees (reach) and is incredibly lazy. Not a bad card.
Underbrush Rustler1W
Creature - Hedgehog (C)
Defender T: ~ deals 1 damage to target attacking creature. Unsurprisingly, it is the end of many a springjack ride. 0/3
A very cool, flavourful card. Probably exactly vintage playable, but I don't think something like this needs to be.
