How does this card-making game work? It's simple! Whenever your card receives a vote in the day's poll, you receive [1] point for the month. If your card ends up with the most votes for that day, you will receive [2] additional points for the month. In the event of a tie, each person who tied receives [1] additional point. At the end of each month, the person with the most points on the scoreboard wins that month, then the scoreboard is cleared for the next month. You can participate in as many or as few days as you want in any month.
Rules
Each day you may post any card you want. On the next day all of the posted cards will be put into a poll the thread as long as your card didn't get disqualified - see the next point for more details. If you post more than one card in a DCC thread, only the first card you post will be taken.
When you vote, you need to make exactly two votes for two different people. Vote for the cards that are listed in the first post, not other cards being posted in the thread. If you notice that you've only voted for one person, include your second vote in a post, even if you're not submitting a card.
If you want to change your vote for any reason, post that change in the day's thread (you can include it with your card if you want). Changed votes in the discussion thread will be ignored.
Voting for only one person, for three or more people, or for yourself will earn you an asterisk by your name in the monthly leaderboard. So will failing to vote if you've posted a card. (We're not going to do anything about people who don't vote or post cards; that would be kind of silly.) This indicates that you're on probation for the next 21 days. If you're on probation and you make another improper vote, your card will be disqualified. Repeated disqualification is grounds for warnings and/or infractions for not following the game rules, so please don't do it.
Voting for everything in the poll will be grounds for a lifetime ban from the DCC. Don't do it. It just wastes the thread creators' time.
If you wish to post a render, please use the hyperlink option when posting your card and make the card name the image link. Renders are usually large enough to clog up the list, so submit a text-formed card and (optionally) a link in the name to the render.
This thread is just for your card submission. Take your questions/comments to our discussion thread. If it's a question, comment, or complaint about probation, PM me instead and I'll explain it.
Anyone can post the new thread for the day. When you post it, make sure that:
You have a poll in the thread;
You include everyone's cards (excluding cards that have been disqualified);
The poll is marked as public and multiple choice with a one-day time limit; and
You update the leaderboard with the previous day's scores.
(An easy way to post the new thread is to hit the multiquote button on every post in the previous day's thread, then click Post Reply. Select everything in this post, copy it, and then paste it into the first post for a new thread. You'll have to clean up a few small things, like quote tags around the opening post and the previous day's cards.)
Notes of the Day
YEEESSSS! FRED AND I WON! IT WAS MOSTLY BULL***** AND DUMB LUCK BUT WE WON! HAVING TWO DOVIN BAANS CERTAINLY HELPED TOO. NOW BACK TO WEAVING ILLUSTRIOUS SHARDS OF WHIMSY AND POWER FROM THE EXPANSIVE REAMS OF DREAM-THREAD IN MY MIND.
PROTECTION FROM WILL O THE WISP PROBATION: 20 DAYS
Microthread Weaver3WW
Creature - Human Artificer (U)
Fabricate 2
Whenever an artifact enters the battlefield under your control, you may tap target creature with power equal to or less than ~'s.
3/2
Votes: Soramaro, RedGauntlet (Also, ProtectionFromWillOTheWisps, Delay is a card)
Inspired by the leader of Passione (only a few will get it)
Totem of the Crimson King5
Artifact (R)
Whenever a nonland permanent you control becomes tapped for the first time in a turn, untap it. "It establishes the starting and final point of an action in time, then erases what happens inbetween. Fascinating."
—Researcher's Notes
Volts Wagon (Uncommon) 3
Artifact - Vehicle
3/3
At the beginning of each player's upkeep, Volts Wagon deals 1 damage to that player unless he or she pays 3.
Crew 3
Curse of Mishra2BR
Enchantment - Aura Curse (R)
Enchant player
Whenever a land enters the battlefield under the control of enchanted player, that player loses 2 life. "Those who would disturb my tomb and its relics shall slowly wilt away wherever they may roam." - The Last Will and Testament of Mishra
Natural Tonic1G
Instant (C)
Target creature gets +3/+3 until end of turn.
Warp B(You can reveal this card in your hand and pay its warp cost to transform it. It remains transformed while in your hand.)
//
Toxic BrewB
Sorcery (C)
Target creature gets -3/-3 until end of turn.
Hopeful Gifted1R
Creature - Human Warrior (U)
When Hopeful Gifted enters the battlefield, it gets +3/+3 until end of turn. "Capture the moment. Or wallow in mediocrity."
2/2
Insane Inspiration2UURR
Sorcery (R)
Target opponent exiles the top six cards of his or her library, then separates those cards into two piles. You choose one of those piles and put all land cards in that pile onto the battlefield under your control, then cast all nonland cards in that pile without paying their mana costs. That player puts the other pile into his or her hand.
Votes: soramaro, StonerOfKruphix
HM: Indighost (I really like the idea, but a 3/1 haste with upshot for 2 is too strong for common)
Crystalline Lotus -- 3
Artifact (R) T: Add C to your mana pool. T, Sacrifice Crystalline Lotus: Add CCC to your mana pool. Though exquisite in its own right, no artificer could make a lotus as visually striking as one made by the Grand Designer herself.
Peema Aetherwagon2
Artifact — Vehicle (U)
Whenever a green creature crews Peema Aetherwagon, Peema Aetherwagon gains your choice of trample, reach, or “1G: Put a +1/+1 counter on this Vehicle” until end of turn.
Crew 3 (Tap any number of creatures you control with total power 3 or more: This Vehicle becomes an artifact creature until end of turn.)
2/3
Power of Might1BG
Instant(U)
Choose a creature you control.
Destroy any number of target creatures where their combined power is equal or less to the choosen creature.
I wanted to go "Strange" this time, but I ended up doing something normal.
Voting for RedGauntlet and Indighost.
Chaotic Thoughts1UU
Enchantment (R)
Every time you would draw just one card, shuffle your library before you do. "One minute he is tending the garden, the next minute he is kissing the rake."
Keeper of the Crucible1GG
Creature - Human Druid (U)
When Keeper of the Crucible enters the battlefield, you may put target land card from your graveyard onto the battlefield. "It is my right and duty to reclaim the abandoned places of the world."
2/2
Trick Out1W
Instant (C)
Put two +1/+1 counters on target artifact. "This isn't some off-the-lot purchase, THIS is a finely tuned machine! I've installed a turbocharger, an afterburner, five-point racing harnesses, and sick spinning rims!" - Devar, After-Market Specialist
Reverse-EngineerRU
Sorcery (R)
Exile target artifact card from an opponent's graveyard. Put a token onto the battlefield that's a copy of that card. "So we take it apart first ... and then?"
"We hope we get how they built it." -Grarb and Nark, Izzet apprentices
Draw BloodXXBB
Instant (R)
Whenever a creature an opponent controls dies this turn, draw a card.
Destroy X target creatures. “Blood never runs out at my parties.”
