How does this card-making game work? It's simple! Whenever your card receives a vote in the day's poll, you receive [1] point for the month. If your card ends up with the most votes for that day, you will receive [2] additional points for the month. In the event of a tie, each person who tied receives [1] additional point. At the end of each month, the person with the most points on the scoreboard wins that month, then the scoreboard is cleared for the next month. You can participate in as many or as few days as you want in any month.
Rules
Each day you may post any card you want. On the next day all of the posted cards will be put into a poll the thread as long as your card didn't get disqualified - see the next point for more details. If you post more than one card in a DCC thread, only the first card you post will be taken.
When you vote, you need to make exactly two votes for two different people. Vote for the cards that are listed in the first post, not other cards being posted in the thread. If you notice that you've only voted for one person, include your second vote in a post, even if you're not submitting a card.
If you want to change your vote for any reason, post that change in the day's thread (you can include it with your card if you want). Changed votes in the discussion thread will be ignored.
Voting for only one person, for three or more people, or for yourself will earn you an asterisk by your name in the monthly leaderboard. So will failing to vote if you've posted a card. (We're not going to do anything about people who don't vote or post cards; that would be kind of silly.) This indicates that you're on probation for the next 21 days. If you're on probation and you make another improper vote, your card will be disqualified. Repeated disqualification is grounds for warnings and/or infractions for not following the game rules, so please don't do it.
Voting for everything in the poll will be grounds for a lifetime ban from the DCC. Don't do it. It just wastes the thread creators' time.
If you wish to post a render, please use the hyperlink option when posting your card and make the card name the image link. Renders are usually large enough to clog up the list, so submit a text-formed card and (optionally) a link in the name to the render.
This thread is just for your card submission. Take your questions/comments to our discussion thread. If it's a question, comment, or complaint about probation, PM me instead and I'll explain it.
Anyone can post the new thread for the day. When you post it, make sure that:
You have a poll in the thread;
You include everyone's cards (excluding cards that have been disqualified);
The poll is marked as public and multiple choice with a one-day time limit; and
You update the leaderboard with the previous day's scores.
(An easy way to post the new thread is to hit the multiquote button on every post in the previous day's thread, then click Post Reply. Select everything in this post, copy it, and then paste it into the first post for a new thread. You'll have to clean up a few small things, like quote tags around the opening post and the previous day's cards.)
Note of the Day
Kinda wish the cats would stay off the counters while we're trying to sleep.
Gaiter-Snitch2G
Creature - Ouphe Rogue (U)
Whenever a creature you don't control attacks, you may untap target creature you control. If you do, that creature blocks this turn if able.
Whenever a creature you don't control blocks, you may remove target creature from combat. (Any creatures it was blocking remain blocked.)
0/1
Kozilek's Progeny5
Creature - Eldrazi Drone (C)
Wither (This deals damage to creatures in the form of -1/-1 counters.) “As terrifying as the titans are, they pay no mind to us mortals. It’s the drones we really have to watch out for.” — Kor Survivalist
3/3
I know I've used this mechanic already on some cards, but I just think it's so cute ^^ and has more design space than it seemed at first.
Aspiration3UU
Creature - Incarnation (R)
When Aspiration enters the battlefield, if you have fewer cards in hand than target opponent, draw cards equal to the difference.
Shapeless X, where X is the number of cards in your hand (You may have Aspiration enter the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters and no abilities.)
"Some strive to achieve, others to make their achievements known."
Towering HydraXGG
Legendary Creature — Hydra (M)
Towering Hydra enters the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters on it.
Reach, trample Grandeur — Discard another card named Towering Hydra: Double the number of +1/+1 counters on Towering Hydra.
0/0
Honor Their Bones1G
Instant [U]
Shuffle Honor Their Bones and your graveyard into their owner's library.
Draw a card.
Exhume (You may cast this card from your graveyard.)
Plumed Cockatrice (Uncommon) 3WG
Creature - Cockatrice
2/5
Flying
Deathtouch
If WUBRG was spent to cast Plumed Cockatrice, you may destroy target creature when Plumed Cockatrice enters the battlefield.
Temper Tantrum2R
Sorcery (U)
Target creature deals 1 damage to each other creature its controller controls. Then, each creature dealt damage this way deals 1 damage to that creature. Throwing a fit has backlash.
Harbinger of the Swarm3(B/G)(B/G)(B/G)
Creature - Insect (M)
As Harbinger of the Swarm enters the battlefield, search your library for any number of Insect cards, reveal them, then shuffle your library. Harbinger of the Swarm enters the battlefield with that many +1/+1 counters on it.
0/0
Sunflare Anthem1WW
Enchantment (R)
Creatures you control get +1/+1.
Whenever a white creature you control attacks, you may tap target creature the defending player controls. Regardless of their position, the Otara army aways manages to have the sun at their backs when they attack.
Votes: IcariiFA, CryoZenith
HM: Everybody else. Really good stuff today!
How about a little something to combo with my Phoenix from the other day....
Frenzied Search
Sorcery (C)
Draw two cards, then exile two cards from your hand. Tenacity - If you have less life than each opponent, you may play up to one card exiled this way until end of turn.
Ideas that would once have been discarded offhand, suddenly seem more appealing when one's back is against the wall.
Champion's Challenge 3RRR
Sorcery - M
Both you and another target player search your libraries for a creature card, reveal it, and put it onto the battlefield. Then shuffle your libraries.
Those creatures fight each other. (Each deals damage equal to its power to the other.)
Ambassador Ufectra (Mythic) 5
Legendary Creature – Avatar
4/4
Ambassador Ufectra is all colors and has protection from all colors.
Spells you cast cost WUBRG less to cast. This effect reduces only the amount of colored mana you pay.
Requisition Order1W
Enchantment (C)
When Requisition Order enters the battlefield, exile another target artifact or enchantment until Requisition Order leaves the battlefield. The enforcers are responsible for collecting evidence of wrongdoing, but the innocent always have their property returned... eventually.
TriteU
Instant
Counter target spell that shares a name with a permanent its controller controls or a card in it's controller graveyard. I've seen that before.
An exception before we enter the theme of "cards that could have been in FRF". You’ll understand why if you read my Lion’s Lair article tomorrow.
Preventive KillUB
Instant (U)
Destroy target creature. Its controller draws a card. “Does the victim agree? It’s not a problem for me! I’ll make sure to kill him first, so that he won’t react when I enter his mind and steal his knowledge.”

Sorcery (M)
Put three Loyalty counters on each land your opponents control. Those lands become Planeswalkers in addition to their other types.
