Don't worry at all about it StonerOfKruphix. I never expect anyone to respond to my posts. Everybody has different levels of interest in these threads, as well as varying amounts of time to dedicate to them. I would never get mad because somebody didn't make responding to my whining a high priority in their life. The only reason I even posted about it in the first place is because the thing you didn't like about the card, is my favorite part of the card. I just love how perfectly the flavor of it matches with Snapcaster Mage. The page fetches the spell, the master casts it. Perfect! Of course flavor can often be a subjective thing. TBH, the card may be a bit undercosted anyway. Anyway, thanks for the reply, and keep making dope cards.

Flatline: I feel that the name of your card is more in line permanete not a creature a creature.
I have no idea how the name of my card could be anything but a creature. A Pteranodon is a type of Pterosaur, which is basically a flying dinosaur. It's like saying Nesting Wurm doesn't sound like a creature.

Man! Everyone wants my card to be a Dinosaur, but a pterosaur is NOT a dinosaur. Also, it may be more accurate to call it a Bird than it would be to call it a Lizard. If Wizards ever does do a Dinosaur set, I really hope they separate out dinosaurs, pterosaurs and plesiosaurs. Here's a quote from Wikipedia..."Pterosaurs are often referred to in the popular media and by the general public as "flying dinosaurs", but this is scientifically incorrect. The term "dinosaur" is restricted to just those reptiles descended from the last common ancestor of the groups Saurischia and Ornithischia (clade Dinosauria, which includes birds), and current scientific consensus is that this group excludes the pterosaurs, as well as the various groups of extinct marine reptiles, such as ichthyosaurs, plesiosaurs, and mosasaurs.[9] Like the dinosaurs, and unlike these other reptiles, pterosaurs are more closely related to birds than to crocodiles or any other living reptile."

Thanks proudawesome! We seem to be the only ones. Even Legend, who put my card in his top 3, thought Wizards wouldn't make a Pterosaur. Just for future reference, if I ever have to judge a card in which someone calls a pterosaur a dinosaur, I will be discounting points, since it is just wrong. It's like calling a frog a Lizard.

I just think that WotC would go with "dinosaur" as a generalized creature type for grock and tribal reasons. And would probably use well-known dinosaur names for card names - such as Pterodactyl, Triceratops, Brontosaurus, Raptor, etc. simply because people can't identify with Ptzeriqoxdactylosaurus Rox, Creature - Zfradux Rhino. And they don't want to feel like they've enrolled in a prehistoric sciences class when playing Magic.
I mentioned "Raptor" in my crit of your card since (if I remember correctly) birds are considered descendants of Raptors and your card is very bird-like. (Forgive me if I'm mistaken. These days I have zero interest in "prehistoric" stuff, and my current knowledge of it is faded and dated.) I could see WotC using Raptor in the place of Bird in a dinosaur set.

You guys are probably right, but I just think it's lame, and would think it was lame if Wizards called pterosaurs and plesiosaurs Dinosaurs, but I suppose that is just the dino-geek side of me coming out. To be honest, calling a pterodactyl a dinosaur bothers me since there isn't actually any creature called a pterodactyl. Pterodactyl is a term that is often misused. Here's another quote from Wikipedia..."Pterosaurs are also colloquially referred to as pterodactyls, particularly in fiction and by journalists. Technically, "Pterodactyl" refers only to members of the genus Pterodactylus, and more broadly to members of the suborder Pterodactyloidea of the pterosaurs." But again, that is probably just the dino-geek side of me coming out. Anyway, I'll stop griping about it, just know that if Wizards referred to pterosaurs as Dinosaurs, it would be scientifically incorrect as it is currently understood.
Edit: BTW, technically Wizards has already used the creature type Dinosaur (Old Fogey), although I'm not sure it would count as far as the first round challenge is concerned since it is an uncard.

Legend, as for your critique, I feel like creatures need to be noticeably good at catching high-up stuff to have reach; giraffes are only good at catching high-up (stationary) leaves, they're not archers or giants or whatever. That's why they're vigilant instead of reachy.

I personally don't get the flavor of this card. I like that it's at least a blue impression of Pacifism effect, since the enchanted creature will rarely attack. But why elephants tho?

It's a Dumbo reference. Pink elephants on parade.
I could stand the Crush of Wurms
And look at Living Weapon germs
But technicolour pachyderms
Is really too much for me
A solid build-around-me card with good flavor. I have a little trouble imagining 4/4 or 5/5 Gremlins though. They don't feel like they ever grow bigger than 3/3 (permanently). Having it create X 1/1 or 2/2 tokens would've been a better fit, I think.
It's not exactly a 5/5, but Terror of the Fairgrounds exists. And Thriving Grubs can technically get that big :P.

So I don't disagree with the fact that my round 3 card is totally busted. To be honest, I thought I had another day before the deadline and planned to revise the card before judgment, but that obviously didn't work out. In their crits, everybody mentions the fact that my card basically gives your creatures haste for 1 mana, which I actually think is fine at rare, but IMO the card doesn't really become broken until you have multiple copies of it out, which nobody mentioned in their crit. Imagine if you had two or three of these out when you dropped a Reality Smasher. You would get to attack with 3 or 4 Reality Smashers for the price of one! To solve this, I thought about making it legendary. I've also thought about putting a cost on the ability as well. Maybe , , or ? I'm curious what others would do to "fix" the card, 'cause I actually kinda like it. Here's the card for ref.....
Clone Factory
Land (R)
: Add to your mana pool.
Whenever a creature enters the battlefield under your control, you may have Clone Factory becomes a copy of that creature until end of turn. It's still a land.
Edit: Maybe the cost should have green in it? I don't think I'd make legendary if I added a cost.
Edit 2: Maybe tapping the creature it is copying should be part of the cost? Although I think I'd prefer not.

And even if the animal is sort of represented in Magic, you can still make the card with a new creature type, just as a Phoenix is also a Bird.
