I just can't win this Round. One review says it's too weak because it'll usually hit a land on Turn 3. The other review says it's going to make opponents sad because it'll usually hit a land on Turn 3.
As continued proof of why we should probably abolish teams in CCL (or go down to two teams), only three people from Team Adventure posted cards. Again. This happens nearly every month with at least one team.

The trouble is how does abolishing teams work in CCL, Eventide.
@ Eventide: If it helps, I don't think your card is too weak or too strong, but I think random mechanics are always an issue with design, and your card guarantees that at least one player won't get the outcome the hoped for and might get frustrated. Personally, I'd rather it would cost 5 mana and have retrace or some other form of re-useability.
As for the teams - I feel very strongly that they are an integral part of the CCL, and the scoring system is meant to account for some teams not posting critique. I know its frustrating to work hard on your own critique and not get the same from the other team, or only get a critique with one word for each submission (you know who you are), but it shouldn't matter overall.
What I wish is that players won't drop so easily after having a bad first round. I think I had one CCL where I had bad scores in both the first and second round and still got into the top 8 because only one other player on my team stuck it to the end. Maybe create a system of hidden votes? so that the players write the critique openly but send the top 3 by PM to the host? or would that be too much work for the host?
PMs sound like a lot trouble for the host, and tallying score is already tough. Plus if the host is ever unable to score or disappears while hosting there's no way for anyone else to step in and help out (at least not easily).
An alternative thought, and I'm not really advocating this but adding for discussion - how do people feel about reassigning teams each round. So each player keeps his or her scores but gets a new team to play against and a new team to critique?

Well we've already got a MCC Hammer account, they could always make a DCC Talk.
Agreed with Asrama, I had a real terrible round near the start of the Worldbuilding month and I got into the top three (and lost spectacularly ;n but it was fun!). Giving up basically gives a bye to the other people in your round - don't quit, fight 'em! Also agreed on the critique things but it'd be good to have a stronger mechanism for crit... or to emphasize more detailed crits, but I suppose that's more for the MCC anyway.
I'm surprised no one has pointed this out yet, but why are the Team Assignments for Crits the same for Round 3 of May as they were for Round 2? I don't see a point to submitting Crits or a Top 3 at this point, since it would be for the wrong team.

I'm not going to submit my crits until we get confirmation that the crit assignments for this round are indeed correct.

A mere ten days after the Mending, a young knight of Valeron and a young ranger of Eos made a discovery that would change Alara forever.
Apologies for continued delays, curse seems to keep stop working in the evenings when I try and use this. Hopefully I'll be able to top 8 this evening.
Interest this month seems to be lower than normal. Would people prefer that we just re-do signups and someone else handle this month (that is, is there that little interest in the storyline I'm trying to provide that people would rather have someone else come up with a different storyline)?

Well I aint gonna make people do multiple crits. Use the assignments given this time round and I'll knock the deadline back 24 hours to compensate.

Considering the cost of other protection from creature auras I'd say I costed correctly.
