As a judge, I also do not agree at all with cutting a round.

• The two public custom sets I've been part a part of the design team for: "Brotherhood of Ormos" - Blog post with all info - set thread - design skeleton / card list || "Extinctia: Homo Evanuit" - Blog post with all info - set thread - card list spreadsheet
• "The Lion's Lair", my article series about MTG and custom card design in particular. Latest article here. Here is the article index.Rather outdated by now, and based on the old MCC rubric, but I'm leaving this here for anybody that might be interested anyway.
• My only public attempt at being a writer: the story of my Leonin custom planeswalker Jeff Lionheart. (I have a very big one that I'm working on right now but that's private for now, and I don't know if I will ever actually publish it, and I also have ideas for multiple future ones, including one where I'm going to reprise Jeff.)
I can quickly commence with round 3 once Folza submits judgments. With a top-six round 3 and a top-three final, the upcoming judging should be quite easy for all involved, and we can give the month a dignified finish and crown a winner who's been just as well-tested as in the past.
I am unfortunately dealing with some other post-Thanksgiving issues and social activities, but rest assured I am working on the judgments in the free time that I have. I should have them done by the end of the night!
We need judges for December's MCC if we're going to be able to run it! Please, if you want to judge this month, head to the sigup thread here to sign up.
As the last MCC of the year, I want to go out with a bang. Therefore, this month's challenges will be highly unique! Expect a lot of out-of-the-box designs this month.
Why would anybody volunteer to judge after this hype job? Now I gotta play!

I appreciate your argument, and I realize your card isn't literally the same, but it does retread some very similar ground. The idea behind both cards is "draw, or make a swarm, or use your swarm to draw," and however differently you might want to use your design in different situations, my judgment stands.
And you definitely haven't swayed me on the flavor... Live as in "live in the moment"? "Live, instead of merely surviving"? Still not quite getting "zeal" with those very abstract readings of the name.
I posted in our private thread about the MCC, but I wanted to post here as well. My judgments were completed earlier this afternoon, so the final round can be posted as early as tomorrow.
With Moss and myself added we now have four non-"alternate" judges for December. Go ahead and take the month off, bravelion - you probably have friends and family to hang with, whilst I'm a shut-in pariah.

Yeah, if anyone deserves a month off, it's you, Bravelion.

Wow, I didn't believe this would actually happen! Thanks everyone, this is much appreciated. I will definitely take a month off and come back in January, possibly as host. Most of all it's my job I have to attend to, which I didn't have until a couple months ago (I'm a high school teacher if anyone cares). As an unemployed person, you have a lot of time to spare on forums. Now I don't have that "luxury" anymore (at least not again until the end of next June), so I have to manage my time more carefully. I'll still be there if anyone disappears and I'm needed, and I'll also obviously still judge the final round for November. See you all in January and thanks again.

When I won on my second month participating, I remember it was November but I don't remember the year, it may very well be a couple years ago. Anyway, even if I wanted to participate for December the design deadline has just passed. I'm sure other opportunities to play again will come, I'm not planning to leave completely anytime soon.

Since admirableadmiral isn't posting brackets, I made up some random ones with a team generator, attached below.
Applied to the order in which the judges have been named in the thread: admirableadmiral
Remba
Forestsguy
Legend
Tesco(black)lotus
Jimmy Groove
Folza
Raptorchan
This is just a suggestion, but that would allow you guys to get to judging and not go too far over the deadline.
Not sure how you would decide on whether you use it or not, do as you want

Thank you for generating these, but I just created some brackets. I apologize for the delay; I've extended the deadline by one day for the judges as a result. You can find the brackets in the main post of this week's thread. Good luck contestants, and thank you to the judges to volunteered to help me judge all these wonderful entries!

• The two public custom sets I've been part a part of the design team for:
"Brotherhood of Ormos" - Blog post with all info - set thread - design skeleton / card list || "Extinctia: Homo Evanuit" - Blog post with all info - set thread - card list spreadsheet
• "The Lion's Lair", my article series about MTG and custom card design in particular. Latest article here. Here is the article index. Rather outdated by now, and based on the old MCC rubric, but I'm leaving this here for anybody that might be interested anyway.
When I won on my second month participating, I remember it was November but I don't remember the year, it may very well be a couple years ago. Anyway, even if I wanted to participate for December the design deadline has just passed. I'm sure other opportunities to play again will come, I'm not planning to leave completely anytime soon.

This is just a suggestion, but that would allow you guys to get to judging and not go too far over the deadline.
Not sure how you would decide on whether you use it or not, do as you want

Thanks, somehow I forgot the hall of fame exists.
@Flatline: It turns out I was wrong, it was October 2014 instead of November. Still two years ago.
