• The two public custom sets I've been part a part of the design team for: "Brotherhood of Ormos" - Blog post with all info - set thread - design skeleton / card list || "Extinctia: Homo Evanuit" - Blog post with all info - set thread - card list spreadsheet
• "The Lion's Lair", my article series about MTG and custom card design in particular. Latest article here. Here is the article index.Rather outdated by now, and based on the old MCC rubric, but I'm leaving this here for anybody that might be interested anyway.
• My only public attempt at being a writer: the story of my Leonin custom planeswalker Jeff Lionheart. (I have a very big one that I'm working on right now but that's private for now, and I don't know if I will ever actually publish it, and I also have ideas for multiple future ones, including one where I'm going to reprise Jeff.)
Indighost is making a move into the MCC?!?! At least he's not competing. Also, it's good to have Moss_Elemental back after a bit of a hiatus.

Since I haven't managed to get in any judgements for last months final round I'm afraid I won't be able to do so at all.
I'm flying to London tomorrow for the Grand Prix and have been very busy these past few days. It doesn't seem like I will have internet access during my time there either.
The earliest I could manage would be 11th. Since it's the final round I think we could do without one judge. At least I hope nobody feels their experience of this contest diminished by this.
My apologies. I kinda have to leave in 2 hours... Good luck to all finalists!

I'll get to those judgments too soon. Part was that I simply forgot, part was that I'm preparing for a new job starting Monday. Before that, though, I have to create and post the brackets for October Round 1, and I'm going to do just that in a short time.

(2/3) Balance: Honestly, you could have given this a 1 power. Sure, this would force an increase in either mana cost or rarity, but if you want someone to attack with this, you need a reason.
I assumed giving another creature flying would be enough of a reason to attack. It is intended to function something like an Equipment with the benefits (and drawbacks) that come with being a creature.

Vigilance, indestructible WUBRG: Target player exiles the top five cards of his or her library. You may cast a card from among them without paying its mana cost. 6/6

2Indighost: I choose Scorpion because scorpions are tend to carry their babies on the backs like this (didn't know it's something that need to explain). Whatever.
I just want to say the MCC this month has been really fun. I love the little flavor you gave it and it really made me want to design the best possible card in order to keep participating in the later rounds. I'm bummed to have been eliminated but i'll keep checking out the progress of the contest. Thank you for all your effort, bravelion and your pannel of Fair Judges.

Some kind of witty comment should be here.

Exactly what I wanted to say, just put in better words. Congrats to you on how far you got Clockwork and I will see you next month!
Blydden, thank you for your fair and critical judgement. I knew my card was probably too strong, but had a lot of trouble trying to get the balance right.
I would be quite willing to host the November MCC. I have some Commander 2016 ideas ready, especially with the previews today. I might need some help with various aspects of setup, though.

It's unfortunate we will have to bring in Bravelion this month, but it is a pleasure to have him on board! I am very excited to see which cards you hand out to the judges, Necarg.

It's no big problem, I had already resigned to the fact I will have to do it. Don't misunderstand, I do like judging a lot, it's just that I will have to manage my time carefully because of RL and that I do not play Commander at all, so if I got anything wrong please correct me. That's all. That said, count me in.

I assumed giving another creature flying would be enough of a reason to attack. It is intended to function something like an Equipment with the benefits (and drawbacks) that come with being a creature.
"Whenever" is used for this effect, seen on Frost Titan for example.
Even a change in points wouldn't be enough to get me the next round so it's moot. I just wanted to complain.
Thanks again.
I'm done. As always, no complaints. I won't be around tomorrow, so it's done today.
See y'all next month.
As well, a notice to Blydden that you have less than 50 minutes to finish submitting critiques for this round.
Thanks,
