I'd also like to say that I wasn't trying to complain with my earlier comments, I was just trying to explain my thought process for my card. I'm always willing to except that my thought processes are flawed though. That being said, I still stand by my thoughts on why this card flips off of artifacts, but I totally understand why people are saying the front side isn't "good" in the sense you were looking for. Regardless, thanks for responding to my post Icarii and keep up the good work.
Edit: BTW, the current challenge doesn't say anything about the cards being "evil", so I assume "non-evil" cards are acceptable?

I'm aware that it isn't an evergreen keyword. My concern is that it gives the suspended card haste once the last time counter is removed.
This is true, but it's not a problem, because the haste part is within the keyword rules and it's not the keyword itself. For example, the following is fine and passes subchallenge 2: Suspend Goblin2R

If you suspend them, they are the same. What changes is if your cast them normally, and in that case they're not the same. That's the difference that matters here.

What is the commonly accepted way of putting a color indicator in the text version of your card? Is it to use a mana symbol? For example:

Would've been more surprised if I did make it through to be honest, I just pulled a card I liked out of some old designs that fit the criteria and after the deadline passed it occurred to me that the card was extremely boring and unoriginal

That was kinda nerve-wracking, I gotta say. When I saw the initial judgements I was just happy that I got in on my first try, but then I saw your this-is-just-a-first-draft header, and spent the next three days biting my nails off whenever I looked at the thread. Must mean this is a good game.
I've been thinking about this far the past few months now, and I feel like I'm ready to address the topic more directly.
I have viewed and used the current MCC rubric as a contestant, judge, and organizer now and having tackled it from all angles I have to say that the rubric feels off. I find myself repeatedly put in a scenario where certain aspects of a cards attributes are not included in the rubric, and that the way the rubric is devised is odd. Some specific thoughts:
There is a section that gives points for passing subchallanges, but no section for rewarding/penalizing how a card interprets the main challenge. It's typically left as a pass/fail unless a challenge has specific technical/flavorful aspects that can be penalized elsewhere.
The Design and Development sections are worth 10 points and have 3 sub sections each, making it a awkward fraction of points divided between the sub sections. This makes scoring each section with equal weight harder and unrealistic.
The Balance section is particularly vague and interpreted extremely differently between judges. Some judges typically only care if the card is competitively playable, some only if it breaching into eternal/modern power levels, and some tolerate cards that are focused on limited.
The Potential section is likewise troubled by interpretation as some judges only care if a single demographic would like it while others expect it to appeal to multiple.

Compare the MCC to the DCC. The DCC effectively has 5-15 judges every day. It has no rubric for scoring whatsoever. Yet, I feel like the DCC has a much better track record with evaluating cards correctly. It's basic statistics: a larger number of judges gives you a more stable, more reliable estimate.
I think the MCC could be improved by cutting the rubric down substantially, while simultaneously increasing the number of judges. If I have two judges each doing half as much work, I'm probably going to feel a lot better about the score I receive than if I have one judge doing all the work.

I think that's a great point too. MCC feels almost luck of the draw since the first two rounds only on judge reviews your work and sometimes your work will strike a bias it may not deserve (good or bad.)

• My only public attempt at being a writer: the story of my Leonin custom planeswalker Jeff Lionheart. (I have a very big one that I'm working on right now but that's private for now, and I don't know if I will ever actually publish it, and I also have ideas for multiple future ones, including one where I'm going to reprise Jeff.)
I'm done. As always, I don't want any complaints.

I have viewed and used the current MCC rubric as a contestant, judge, and organizer now and having tackled it from all angles I have to say that the rubric feels off. I find myself repeatedly put in a scenario where certain aspects of a cards attributes are not included in the rubric, and that the way the rubric is devised is odd. Some specific thoughts:
Do others have issues/concerns with the rubric as is? Do you think it might be worth discussing possible updates/rewordings?
Compare the MCC to the DCC. The DCC effectively has 5-15 judges every day. It has no rubric for scoring whatsoever. Yet, I feel like the DCC has a much better track record with evaluating cards correctly. It's basic statistics: a larger number of judges gives you a more stable, more reliable estimate.
I think the MCC could be improved by cutting the rubric down substantially, while simultaneously increasing the number of judges. If I have two judges each doing half as much work, I'm probably going to feel a lot better about the score I receive than if I have one judge doing all the work.
I think that's a great point too. MCC feels almost luck of the draw since the first two rounds only on judge reviews your work and sometimes your work will strike a bias it may not deserve (good or bad.)
