After re-reading the clarifications, I just wanted to ask here, does my card meet the first subchallange?
"Satisfying this challenge implies that your card will be colorless and its color identity will be colorless too." is what has me questioning it.
I've got to second this question; my card uses the rules text commonly applied in these types of cards: "CARDNAME is COLOR." Does rules text setting the colour mean we don't complete subchalenge 1 even though we actually meet said subchallenge?

A polite player might call my card choices "interesting." At my budget, "interesting" is the only option.
After re-reading the clarifications, I just wanted to ask here, does my card meet the first subchallange?
"Satisfying this challenge implies that your card will be colorless and its color identity will be colorless too." is what has me questioning it.

Both your cards pass subchallenge 1 just fine. The bit about color identity didn't take into account color indicators because I just honestly forgot about them. I thought it was a clarification, but it seems to have brought more confusion instead. Sorry about that.
By the way, the only case a text like "CARDNAME is COLOR" is on cards nowadays is if they are colorless (see Ghostfire, it still has that clause in its Oracle text). If that text would give a color to a card that normally has none, that card should have a color indicator instead. There's been a discussion a few days ago on Matt Tabak's tumblr about color indicators, see this post and then this other post.
A consequence of this is the following. Say, for example, that you have a card with a colorless mana cost that says "CARDNAME is white". That card should NOT say that in the rules text. It should have a white color indicator and NOT say anything about that in its rules text. I bring this up for two reasons: first, making it clear that color indicators do NOT count for any challenge, neither the main challenge nor subchallenge 1. Second, because I'm going to consider that in the "Quality" section of my judgings, and as organizer I advise other judges to do the same.
Also, I take this opportunity to remind everyone that S is only a cost and it's NOT a type of mana that you can add to your mana pool. See rule 107.4h in the Comprehensive Rules:
107.4h The snow mana symbol {S} represents one generic mana in a cost. This generic mana can be paid with one mana of any type produced by a snow permanent (see rule 205.4f). Effects that reduce the amount of generic mana you pay don’t affect {S} costs. (There is no such thing as “snow mana”; “snow” is not a type of mana.)
EDIT: Now this is added to the clarifications in the round thread too.

If there are no objections, no one else has voiced interest in hosting next month and so I'm still planning on doing it.
Let me know if this sounds good as I'd like to get the judge thread up ASAP given the holidays.
That sounds great. I will definitely sign up. Can you post a link in this thread when your finished though, otherwise I probably wont be able to find it.

@Antny223 - I'm pretty sure my card would not fit flavor text, which is I why I didn't include any.
@everyone - On a related note.....Where do people go to make their card renders? I've tried a few, but none of them seem very impressive. I don't generally bother with renders, but I do occasionally like to check to make sure all of the text will fit onto my card. Thanks in advance to any responders.

If you use windows I recommend Magic Set Editor (or MSE) it's freeware and, for the price-tag, is an excellent program. Just make sure you visit their Templates page to pick up the latest stuff, at a minimum you're going to want to grab "Fonts for Magic Templates" and "Magic - Recently Printed Styles" (both near the top of the second post.) I personally use "Magic - M15 Extra" (top of the third post) for 99% of my renders as it has some options not available in the 'standard' m15 package (unsorted mana cost, designer credit field, editable color ID dots, ect.)

I recommend MSE too, it's the one I've been using since a very long time and I never had any trouble with it. Just follow Cardz5000's advice and you should be fine. By the way, I did a quick copy and paste of your card in that program and it confirms that there's no room for flavor text.
Nowadays I just use MSE but I can tell you as an additional option, if you prefer to use Photoshop, I know for certain there are some hi-res PSD files floating around somewhere, I downloaded them myself some time ago but I no longer have them as I had to format my computer since then (and I never bothered to search them again afterwards, mostly because I just used MSE anyway). I found them right on these boards, I think they were in the artwork section (or maybe custom card creation), but I can't remember for sure. I don't know if they are still available somewhere.
Still waiting for Antny223's judgings, last time he was active was 6 hours ago. I was already planning to extend round 4 schedule because of Christmas and the new year, so waiting until tomorrow is not a big problem anyway.

Thanks for the info Cardz and Bravelion. Unfortunately, I do all of my card creation on my work laptop, which will not allow me to download MSE. I suppose I could just use my desktop if I want to make any renders. I typically end up checking my cards on sights like MTG Cardsmith, which are not really very good.

Yes, I pm'ed him myself earlier today and I think that's exactly what happened. I replied providing him some screenshots to show they're not visible in the round thread and I'm waiting for him to check them out.
I have round 4 ready to be posted in a text file. It will be posted as soon as his scores are available.
I take this opportunity to wish everyone a merry Christmas, as midnight is already passed here.

No sign indeed. I saw he was active earlier today, so I assume he saw my pms. The fact is I think he actually did his judgings but for some reason they weren't saved on the site. I'll do this: I'll prepare my judgings of his bracket tonight in a file on my pc, then I'll wait until tomorrow American morning/European afternoon. If by then the original judgings from Antny223 are up (as I hope, @Antny223: if you're reading please do so) I'll use them, otherwise I'll post mine and move on. I'll try by all means to get round 4 up by tomorrow afternoon, also because we're already two days late on the schedule I made for this month's MCC and I don't want it to extend too long into January. In my original schedule, the contest would have ended with the judge deadline for the last round right in the moment 2014 ends and 2015 begins, but obviously that won't be the case now. That's unfortunate, I really liked the coincidence of times! At least I'll be able to use that as the design deadline and only the judgings will go into January.

As a followup to my previous post, I've just completed my judgments of Antny223's bracket and I have them in a local file. I'd prefer to have his original judgings though. We'll see tomorrow, but for the moment I've got all cases covered. Round 4 will be posted tomorrow in any way.
EDIT: Antny223 replied to my pm, I think there's no better way to tell it than quoting his own words:

Sigh, I'll have to redo them when I get back home and have access to my PC.
I can remember that both Ninja and North got the same score and Flatline was about 5 or 6 points higher than AliasBot, so Flatline and Ninja will be progressing to the finals.
I will get everything else sorted when I have a chance.
Happy Boxing Day.
Flatline and Ninja Caterpie were advancing in my version of these judgments too, so the composition of round 4 would have been the same anyway. I'll post my judgings in round 3 thread but without scores, just to give more feedback on the cards (I've done them, I may as well post them). The scores that count will be Antny223's, that will be available as soon as he can. In the meantime, I'm going to post round 4 right now, with the following players competing for this month's MCC victory:
admirableadmiral
Cardz5000
Flatline
Ninja Caterpie

I've got to second this question; my card uses the rules text commonly applied in these types of cards: "CARDNAME is COLOR." Does rules text setting the colour mean we don't complete subchalenge 1 even though we actually meet said subchallenge?
EDIT: Now this is added to the clarifications in the round thread too.

• The two public custom sets I've been part a part of the design team for:
"Brotherhood of Ormos" - Blog post with all info - set thread - design skeleton / card list || "Extinctia: Homo Evanuit" - Blog post with all info - set thread - card list spreadsheet
• "The Lion's Lair", my article series about MTG and custom card design in particular. Latest article here. Here is the article index. Rather outdated by now, and based on the old MCC rubric, but I'm leaving this here for anybody that might be interested anyway.
• My only public attempt at being a writer: the story of my Leonin custom planeswalker Jeff Lionheart. (I have a very big one that I'm working on right now but that's private for now, and I don't know if I will ever actually publish it, and I also have ideas for multiple future ones, including one where I'm going to reprise Jeff.)
Triumvirate 15.75 + 20 + 20.5 + 14 = 70.25
Ogonomany 20 + 19 + 20 + 21 = 80
Palanthas 18 + 23 + 22 + 23 = 86
Sagharri 20 + 20 + 19.5 + 16 = 75.5
So unless my totals are wrong, congratulations to Palanthas for being our winner of the November MCC!

I'm done. As always, don't complain.
That sounds great. I will definitely sign up. Can you post a link in this thread when your finished though, otherwise I probably wont be able to find it.
It's all yours.
Thanks.
HO HO HO
...It doesn't look done.
Indeed. I'm waiting for Antny223's judgings, I'll post round 4 as soon as they're in.

@everyone - On a related note.....Where do people go to make their card renders? I've tried a few, but none of them seem very impressive. I don't generally bother with renders, but I do occasionally like to check to make sure all of the text will fit onto my card. Thanks in advance to any responders.

My gut is telling me that something happened with Curse, and he thinks that his final judgments are posted but they actually got lost.

EDIT: Antny223 replied to my pm, I think there's no better way to tell it than quoting his own words:
Flatline and Ninja Caterpie were advancing in my version of these judgments too, so the composition of round 4 would have been the same anyway. I'll post my judgings in round 3 thread but without scores, just to give more feedback on the cards (I've done them, I may as well post them). The scores that count will be Antny223's, that will be available as soon as he can. In the meantime, I'm going to post round 4 right now, with the following players competing for this month's MCC victory:
admirableadmiral
Cardz5000
Flatline
Ninja Caterpie
EDIT 2: Round 4 is posted! Good luck everyone!
EDIT 3: My scoreless version of round 3 judgings is posted too. Enjoy the additional feedback!
