Hello, and welcome back to You Make The Card! We learned Last month about top-down design, and came up with a pretty cool card. This month we're making a card to fit an imaginary design skeleton. (If what I just said sounded like gibberish, I encourage you to read this Nuts and Bolts article by Mark Rosewater.)
In a neck-and-neck race, our final mechanic came out ahead by just a single vote! Before we decide on how big our creature should be, we should choose our art. Note that art for a massive sea serpent will have different power/toughness options compared to art for a smaller mage. Since our creature doesn't have flying, know that art for winged creatures is unlikely to be selected. Lets see what kind of art we can find to fit our creation!
IMPORTANT: When you post art, please include both the artist's name and a link.

Our general plan for this month: (Rarity will change if need be, but its good to have something to shoot for.)
If it’s a smaller creature, based on it’s mechanics I see it as a creature desperately trying to survive in a fight it perhaps can not win, thus the desperation of drawing cards. So to that end...
However on the larger end of creatures your going to need something that can take punishment if it’s going to be your only creature for the sake of drawing cards, something big and ferocious and….
Oh God! We're all gonna die!
I think of this creature as a librarian alone in a large library. Couldn't find any decent art otherwise I would have posted it. Does any one have some cool librarian art?
1. Good Decks Play With Good Cards
2. Good Decks Have Good Plans
3. Good Decks Have Good Mana Bases
4. Good Decks Respect Their Opponents
5. Good Decks Have 75 Cards
6. Sometimes Even Good Decks Are Bad Choices
7. Sometimes Your 'Good Deck' Isn't
Surprised nobody had posted a "Forever Alone" meme yet for the at. Fits the ability lol.

I like current block formats the most.
Its so limited to its power scale against other formats.
Block constructed should be a more competitive format like it was back in Champions or Ravnica.
It was at that moment that I realized: I'm kinda just making these things up. We can just write the rules the way we want them to work. People will have fun, and people will get it.
I like Moon-E art though. It reminds me of the movie "9".

Sadly, it's not a very good aspect ratio for a Magic card.
I like this art for the feel, but it really indicates the creature has flying.

On the medium end for some reason I see something in a nice merfolk….no better reason than I enjoy the hell out of merfolk cards
