Since Mark Rosewater has repeatedly suggested that a supplemental set similar to Time Spiral might one day see print, I thought it might be nice to design some time-shifted versions of iconic cards. I'd love to see your suggestions, but in the meantime here are some of mine:
Ragecaster Sage1R
Creature - Human Wizard {R}
Flash
When Ragecaster Sage enters the battlefield, target instant or sorcery card in your graveyard gains flashback until end of turn. The flashback cost is equal to its mana cost.
2/1
Primeval ResentmentG
Instant {U}
Destroy target artifact.
Flashback R
Ancient Leviathan1U
Creature - Leviathan {R}
Hexproof
Dungrove Elder's power and toughness are each equal to the number of Islands you control.
X/X
Precise RuinationWB
Instant {R}
Precise Ruination can't be countered by spells or abilities.
Destroy target nonland permanent with converted mana cost 3 or less.
Undesired Bestowal3U
Instant {R}
Search your library for up to four cards with different names and reveal them. Target opponent chooses two of those cards. Put the chosen cards into your graveyard and the rest into your hand. Then shuffle your library.
Your confusing time-shifted for color-shifted. Time Spiral for Planar Chaos. Time-shifted was legends from long ago and 'current' cards paying homage to past cards. Ancestral Vision is the poster child for time-shifted cards. It is Ancestral Recall, but in such a way that it fits within today's powerlevel. While color-shifted cards were old cards printed 'as is' in a different color. The poster child of this is Damnation, it even mirrored WRatHofGod's art, which lead to many color bends; and fixed some old color breaks. Maro has said this is unlikely to ever happen again.
That said, each of these is a reasonable color-shift.
Actually all extra cards from TS-block were called from the official side just "timeshifted". The fan-names "planeshifted" and "futureshifted" in reference to the names of the sets they appear in are in wide use. But as far as e. g. MaRo is concerned they are all "timeshifted". The term "colorshifted" is also valid, but doesn't make the other way of saying it invalid - though unusual to hear from anyone outside R&D.
Ancestral Vision, btw, is not timeshifted. The timeshifted cards in the first set of TS-block are those with the infamous purple rarity symbol and old frame. None of them have suspend.

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.

Maro has made repeatedly distinguished between the three different 'shifted' cards. I wasn't playing then so I can't speak for what went on then but each set of 'shifted' cards is referred to by a different name, they aren't all called Time-shifted.
Also, while Maro has said Time Spiral might happen as a supplemental set he has also said the Planar Chaos would likely never happen again. Even flat out saying that they see Planar Chaos as a mistake.

Read my post again. I state specifically that your terminology is also correct. But just as you can call a lot of trees 'woods' or 'forest' there are alternatives. The terms were used a lot in speculation before R&D revealed their terminology and hence stuck. Eventually as interaction between MaRo and and the community increased he picked up these words and understands and uses them. But for years after the original block he would consistently use "timeshifted" for the special cards of all three sets.
Also from blogatog:
Are all of the mechanics found on timeshifted cards eventually going to be used?
No. They are from “potential futures” meaning some will end up not being from this timeline.
How about reverse shock lands? Your opponent gains life instead of you paying life
We teased one of those on the timeshifted sheet in Future Sight.
Would you ever consider doing more cards like Ghostfire? (Maybe in a set that could handle it?) I guess it would require an exploration into what makes a card colored/colorless when there are colored mana costs but a colorless identity. That could be interesting...
Ghostfire is one of the timeshifted cards that I know we’ll make some day. The trick is, as you say, finding the right environment.
Welcome to Timeshifted Week, Part Deux! Yes, we had a Timeshifted Week before, but that was about Time Spiral "timeshifted" cards. You know, the blasts from the past with the purple expansion symbol. This week is all about Planar Chaos timeshifted cards.
Timeshifted cards are a feature of the Time Spiral block. They are cards from other expansions that have been reprinted in some way in the block. However, the specific way in which the reprints are handled is different for each set. [...] The 45 timeshifted cards in Planar Chaos (also known as planeshifted) represent cards being reprinted from an alternate reality.
Look "also known as"!
Now you can no longer say "I can't speak for what went on then" because I have told you.

Btw, Time Spiral is both the name of the set as well as the block.

Also, while Maro has said Time Spiral might happen as a supplemental set he has also said the Planar Chaos would likely never happen again. Even flat out saying that they see Planar Chaos as a mistake.
This has nothing to do with terminology.

I'll yield the battle on terminology. However this was the whole point to my post.

Then gave a list of planar chaos style cards, which Maro has said aren't likely to ever happen again. My original point was that these style of cards aren't what he was referring to when he said a Time Spiral like set could be done in supplemental products.

Ok, but this is the land of dreams and whimsy, where anything can happen if you're creative enough. Don't let old stick in the mud MaRo's opinions hold back the card design.
I'd like to see more of the reimagining style cards (like Mirri and Mirri) from time spiral rather than direct timeshifted or colorshifted cards though, that's where the real fun lies.
I see. Well, MaRo actually is just refering to the theme of Planar Chaos as a whole. Colorshifted cards is something they do all the time - and if they do them again in a Time Spiral-like product they wouldn't come necessarily with the baggage of the block-theme. Only a subsection of the "planeshifted" cards was playing the color bending game - as you mentioned the proposed cards are fine 'shifts.
Though Ancient Leviathan probably wants to counts Islands and one is missing a mana cost.
I think what most people want when they talk about a TS-based supplemental product is along the mix-and-match cards and deep Limited environment with old and new mechanics applied in ways we wouldn't otherwise see. You know, the daily bread and butter of CCC.
