So this is a bit similar to Persist and Undying. However I feel it is less abusable, but with added longevity.
It's going to feature in the second set of a sort of nautical/ocean world block I've been planning out.
And a couple others that do not have art:
Spectre of Vengeance
1BB
Creature - Spirit Horror (R)
Flying, Cursed (When this creature is put into the graveyard from the battlefield, exile it. At the beginning of your next upkeep, return it to the battlefield tapped and lose 2 life.)
When Spectre of Vengeance enters the battlefield, if it entered from exile, destroy another target creature.
2/2
Forbidden Treasure
6
Artifact (R)
At the beginning of your upkeep, draw a card and lose 1 life.
Creatures you control have Cursed (When this creature is put into the graveyard from the battlefield, exile it. At the beginning of your next upkeep, return it to the battlefield tapped and lose 2 life.).
You can condense "When this creature is put into the graveyard from the battlefield" into "When this creature dies"
Having the creatures return at the beginning of your next upkeep does make it hard to abuse, but I would avoid giving these creatures strong enters the battlefield abilities, since they will be going off over and over for no additional investment. Spectre of Vengeance is pushing that boundary pretty hard, I would happily sacrifice it to something every turn just to kill a creature. Barbados isn't quite as far in that direction, but still getting there.
I do like that the return is not optional, it makes the life loss into a real downside and a potential threat to the player.
I wonder if it should be life equal to some value rather than a flat 2? I'm not sure.
I'm going to design one now
Bilge RatB
Creature - Rat Zombie
Cursed (When this creature dies, exile it. At the beginning of your next upkeep, return it to the battlefield tapped and you lose 2 life.)
Lifelink

That's what I would assume, that a mechanic named Cursed has something to do with Curses. Word association is an important part of Magic design.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
I do think this is interesting, but definitely a bit too strong with these ETB effects.
I was thinking it might work if it was similar to Experience counters, and you lose life based on how many times a Cursed creature has come back. That way, repetitive abuse would start to really hit life totals hard.

Also, you should credit those card arts
