Much like Bestow, Linger allows Auras to stick around after their host dies. It also still resolves to the battlefield if its enchant target isn't legal on resolution. It also comes on a custom card frame, so there's no confusion about why an Aura isn't attached to something.

Whenever a creature enters the battlefield under your control, if Phoenix Boon isn't an Aura, attach it to that creature.
I wonder if the wording on Phoenix Boon needs to change? I don't know if you can attach a non-Aura enchantment to a creature.
Yes, much like Animate Dead, this would require a great deal of extra text to pull off. As an alternative, the ability could simply exile Phoenix Boon then return it attached to the triggering creature, leaving play would reset it to a normal Aura to smooth out the interaction.
The keyword seems so simple, but you've implemented it in such inventive ways, I quite like it. I feel like there couldn't be too many of these in a given set, but they would definitely define the feel of the environment.

Pheonix Boon works just fine as worded. Animate Dead is as wordy as it is because it tries to retain its original functionality as closely as possible - and part of that is being an Aura all throughout the process while targeting objects in changing zones.

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.

701.3b If an effect tries to attach an Aura, Equipment, or Fortification to an object it can’t be attached to, the Aura, Equipment, or Fortification doesn’t move. If an effect tries to attach an Aura, Equipment, or Fortification to the object it’s already attached to, the effect does nothing. If an effect tries to attach an object that isn’t an Aura, Equipment, or Fortification to another object or player, the effect does nothing and the first object doesn’t move.
Because Linger's effect causes the card to "stop being an aura" and "loses its enchant ability" the rules will only see it as a non-aura, and thus prevent it from being attached to another permanent, in addition to having no permanent types specified that it might be attached to. Phoenix Boon would need an additional clause to give it back its Aura subtype and its enchant ability in order to reattach without leaving the battlefield.

Thanks for finding a relevant rule. I believe this concern can be alleviated by changing the wording from "if" to "as long as" - this would preserve the possibility to reattach since it does actually become an aura again.
The general concept is solid and grockable. My only gripe is the word "Linger". It lacks pizzazz.
Agreed, I just can't think of a splashier name for it. Maybe doing some more focused worldbuilding would produce some workable name ideas. In the meantime, have more!

I like how all of these are better, even just slightly, while they are in their Aura form. My issue with Animated Plot is that the card functions exactly the same whether it's an Aura or not.
I know it can be worked out to reattach one of these after it has fallen off, but you need to make absolutely certain that when the effect that reattaches occurs, it sees the enchantment as an Aura with an enchant ability.
I still think that a flicker is the cleanest and most decisive way to achieve this.
There is also a slight issue with Animated Plot in that there is no purpose to it being an Aura or having Linger. It can turn itself into a creature even while still enchanting the land, which would just cause it to fall off without really interacting with the land.
The blanket effects looking for enchanted permanents are great, this reminds me of an expanded form of Guardian's Magemark.

Or, for a rollicking good time, you could allow the Boon to reattach even if it is still attached to a creature:

Finally a good white villain quote: "So, do I ever re-evaluate my life choices? Never, because I know what I'm doing is a righteous cause."

"Linger" doesn't have much pizazz as a name, but it could work well in a setting that had a mood similar to Shadowmoor.
