Let's try this again! I had an idea at first which was something like this:
Kroxathor, Scourge of Grixis2RR
Legendary Creature — Phoenix (M)
Flying, haste
Unearth UBR(UBR: Return this card from your graveyard to the battlefield. It gains haste. Exile it at the beginning of the end step or if it would leave the battlefield. Unearth only as a sorcery.)
When Kroxathor, Scourge of Grixis enters the battlefield from your graveyard, put a +1/+1 counter on it. It has hexproof for as long as it has a +1/+1 counter on it.
3/3
but then I heard Dan saying it would be better to avoid multicolor and playing in a similar space I came up with this:
Kopharen, the Vengeful Flame2RR
Legendary Creature — Phoenix (M)
Flying
Undying (When this creature dies, if it had no +1/+1 counters on it, return it to the battlefield under its owner’s control with a +1/+1 counter on it.)
As long as Kopharen, the Vengeful Flame has a +1/+1 counter on it, it has haste, trample, and “R: Kopharen gets +1/+0 until end of turn.”

Typically, they only take the time to talk about designs that have good talking points (positive or negative) whether you submit one card or five. I wouldn't worry about coming up with additional limitations.
32 submissions at this point but only 23 submitters... you should probably limit it to only the first card submitted. otherwise, what's stopping me, an early poster, from submitting 10 designs?
We tend to pick the design each person submits that gives us the most interesting stuff to talk about. This might be an example of what to do, or what not to do. It won't necessarily help or hurt your chances.
