artifact - equipment contraption
as an additional cost, exile 3 contraption tokens
equipped creature gets +5/+0
the basic idea is that contraptions are tokens which are built with pieces, which are used as alternate costs for artifact creatures, equipment, so on. figured it should be mostly goblins dabbling in this kinda thing though..
i dont think this is what wotc would do with riggers at the end, but i thought its a good way of making some contraptions that were pretty complicated; but didn't really do much in reality. probably would be geared towards the edh/casual crowd more than anything.
The simplest form I've seen (which I've altered a bit, but can't claim ultimate credit for):
Assemble 2 (2, t: Put a colorless Contraption artifact token onto the battlefield with no abilities.)
Paired with abilities that then transform Contraptions into useful cards, or use them as a resource. Ultimately the problem is complexity, so abilties are split by rarity.
Common:
Sacrifice a Contraption: CARD gets +2/+0 until end of turn.
Sacrifice a Contraption: CARD gains Hexproof until end of turn.
As long as you control three or more Contraptions, CARD gets +2/+2.
Uncommon:
Contraptions you control are 1/1 creatures.
Whenever a Contraption enters the battlefield under your control, you gain 1 life.
Rare:
Contraptions you control are Equipment and gain Equip 2 and "Equipped creature gets +1/+0".
Sacrifice a Contraption: Add one mana of any colour to your mana pool.

If we follow the idea that Contraptions require assembly, perhaps they are DFCs that involve counters, part counters if you will? Whenever a creature such as a Rigger assembles a Contraption, you put a part counter on the Contraption, and if there are enough part counters on the Contraption you transform or otherwise turn it over?

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
