EDIT: Updated the reminder text to remove "steps and phases" wording.
Ah, so this is the other component that powers monohybrid. I can happily say I guessed right! (:
I really like this mechanic. This is definitely primarily red/green, secondarily black and artifact.
The cards you have here are very interesting, especially Barren Keeper. Do note that "Barren" is kinda associated with Goblins in Magic traditionally, so that confused me (though only for a second).
I know you're going for the sense of 'bubble up as a result of being boiled' here, but a lot of people are far more familiar with seethe as in 'repressed anger'. I agree that it's a great and exciting name for the mechanic, given that people know the definition, but I'd be curious how many people are confused as to why anger is powering a Fusion Machine or whatever.
My other concern is that this is another complex mechanic. You have the complicated Psionic mecanics, and you already mention 'converted mana cost' a lot at common... now you're also introducing the terms 'steps and phases' to new players as well. That's a lot of weird stuff. Remember, this is reminder text; could we perhaps adjust the reminder text's wording to be more clear? "This mana doesn't go away until end of turn"?

I'm happy with the double or triple meaning of the mechanic's name. I hope the flavor is versatile enough to be used in multiple future settings. In this block, seethe has a very specific flavor. It represents tapping directly into the cataclysmic radioactive power — Raksu — that destroyed this plane. The shamans of the wastes revere Raksu as something halfway between a force of nature and a god. The shamans physically bask in radiation to partake of its power. It kills most of them very quickly, but in the meantime they get to seethe. It's the same power that the artifact creatures have.

I'm cool with massaging the reminder text however it needs to be massaged. The last time I posted seethe, people suggested a delayed triggered ability so that it hit at the next main phase. While I liked that idea, too, I honestly think this is easier in practice, even if the concepts are fairly novel.
Yeah, I figured it was to do with radiation and such. Still, I'm not sure people will be able to interpret that - but hopefully art, flavor text, and so on, will help guide the players to that conclusion.

This is a great fit for the set and nicely implemented. At first I was also concerned about the jargon in the reminder text, but on reflection I don't think it's a big deal. The concept of the ability is so simple and accessible, damage = mana. When I was a new player I had no idea that mana emptied at the ends of phases/steps anyways, and I bet most other new players are similarly unaware, so they'll naturally play the mechanic correctly.
I also like them generally having a low power, so that you feel clever comboing them with pump spells.
I'm not a fan of the name, I'd prefer something less anger-y, like Radiate, Surge, or Mana Spout.

There will be some bigger bodies at higher rarities, but for the most part I think the mechanic just work better when it shows up on cheaper, smaller creatures. I do want it to be appealing for battlecruiser strategies, too, which is why I plan to have a few heavies. The big guys will almost certainly be artifact creatures along the lines of Xericon.
(BTW, in regards to battlecruisers: no, there are no Eldrazi in this block.)
I like the name specifically BECAUSE it feels anger-y. But it can also mean hot, boiling, etc. The Shamans in this block are a bunch of raging lunatics, though!
Seethe (For each damage this deals, add 1 to your mana pool at the beginning of the next main phase.)

Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
- Manite
I'd change the reminder text to (Damage dealt by this also adds that much colourless mana to your mana pool, that mana doesn't expire until end of turn).
It's not precise Magic terminology, but reminder text does not need to be.
Also, I really want Ritual Killer to be the name of an Unhinged card. A white hatebear (Creature - Troll of course), with the text "If a spell would add mana to a player's mana pool, that spell does nothing instead". The ultimate troll name.

The p/t spread in your current batch all looks good. I like Xericon as the one big common, because at 4/4 Seethe for 7, it feels more like a reward for playing with other Seethe cards, and that's a good thing to have in the set at common. So mechanically, it's great. But again, I strongly disagree with the name and urge you to reconsider. Nothing about adding mana feels like anger to me, and you've got so many other places on the card to emphasize that they're raging lunatics. You could give them the subtype Berserker instead of Shaman, and use a different keyword name. In the end it's your call, just throwing out some alternate ideas.

I second this idea. It gets rid of the more complex terminology and shortens the text just enough so you could fit in some flavor text on the simpler cards.
I like the callback to Seething Song. That's all the terminology needs to me.
