Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar
• Legendary Creature — Human Wizard [M] (Nonexistent mana costs can't be paid.)
If Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar is in your opening hand, you may begin the game with it on the battlefield.
Sacrifice another creature: Add R to your mana pool.
[2/2]
As - More - Ran - Oh - Mar - Dic - Uh - Daze - Tin - Acul (as in Dr"acul"a) - Duh - Car
The card itself is really interesting. It serves as a 'hasty' 2/2 on turn 1 (at least, I think it can attack on turn 1, right?), in addition to serving as an outlet for mana. The cost, of course, is that it has to be in your opening hand. I like that balance... it's legendary so you don't want more than a few in your deck or else they're dead draws, but you also want enough to ensure you start with one in decks that need it. Interesting tension there!
Overall, I think that tension may be its downfall. You need a deck that really wants this turn 1, but also is okay with the dead draw potential. Is any deck going to be like that? I'm not sure.

But, its also not a dead draw if you can potentially discard it - for instance, with the aforementioned Lightning Axe. Considering the card itself has a sacrifice another creature ability, I feel that people may be ok with having to build around it.
Personally, I really like the design, because its just so unusual.
Guesswork, I have a love/hate relationship with your cards. Okay, I should clarify that I love them all. My hatred comes from the fact that you design cards that are beautiful and ugly, all at once. They're so specific that they won't fit anywhere else outside of the smallest decimal. Don't get me wrong, I understand under the terms and conditions of this very creative set that its normal. My biggest gripe is that it's useless outside of the first turn.
In comparison to the Leylines, this card doesn't shine very well. Not for me, at least. I think the reason people liked the Leylines was because they weren't useless outside of the first turn when they were the best. It would be discouraging to most players. Personally, and I mean personally, because I know your cards are very creative and like I said the set is unique so I understand your reasoning, I would at least let this card be useful outside of the first turn. There are plenty of ways to play him without giving him a mana cost, too, which would also be interesting. However, I would personally give him a cost, and let him come out freely like a leyline. I do see how that would make this card way less interesting, however.
Could you give him some other clause that lets you put him from a zone onto the battlefield? I mean, for such an awesome card, I would just like to get more use out of him.
I really like him though, and like I sad I understand the strange set idea, and the creativity, but I don't know if I would sacrifice that much playability for creativity.

The scariest aspect of this card for me is that I designed it to be playable and not a gimmick. I'm worried that it could be a Dream Halls-esque miscalculation of the the "free stuff" mechanic.
I imagine that All-In Red would gladly maindeck this card, and even mulligan aggressively for it, as others have said. But I think it might even be useful outside of that archetype in a spectrum build, or in some unlikely aggro-combo deck.
I will reassure you that this is the very epitome of a 1-off card, and should not be taken as a signal of what's in store for Nexus.
Now that I've said that, though, there are two connections to the wider mechanics of Nexus on display here. They're both pretty subtle. But I remain convinced that this is the right convergence of flavor, mechanics and context. Yeah, it's weird.

Legendary means that other creatures you control can't share a name with it. Color indicator points to spectrum, but I'm assuming that disappears in Icefall and isn't coming back. Maybe some kind of mana-floating mechanic?

Avant Block: Avant -- Stormfront
One of the greatest and most iconic Magic characters ever is getting her own card. I feel warm and happy inside.
As for the card itself: TurboJustice has it covered. I can imagine that Azzy.dek would mulligan purely to get to her.
