Nazura is a set based on lands. Aside from a diverse pool of lands for the set, I also wanted to include some Fortifications for them. Each fortification is dedicated to a color.
Sunglade Barracks2
Artifact - Fortification (Uncommon) T: Add W to your mana pool. Activate this ability only if Sunglade Barracks is attached to a land you control.
Fortified land has "2WT: Put a 1/1 white soldier creature token onto the battlefield."
Fortify 2(2: Attach to target land you control. Fortify only as a sorcery. This card enters the battlefield unattached and stays on the battlefield if the land leaves.)
This is a standard example of what I am trying to do. I'm not sure if the mana producing ability works, considering it would be weird tapping an attached artifact.
In addition to the fortifications, I wanted to make villages.
Kaklar Warrens
Land - Village (Uncommon)
Kaklar Warrens enters the battlefield tapped unless you control a red or black creature. T: Add R ot B to your mana pool.
These support aggressive decks, tribal decks, and colored decks.
Will the subtype "village" have any other rules meaning, other than to signify the ETB trigger? If not I'd consider against using it.
Sunglade Barracks' mana producing ability works just fine. But, it is weird to tap an attached thing, yea. Why not "Whenever fortified land is tapped for mana, add W to your mana pool."? It's a cool card, reminds me of Kjeldoran Outpost in a good way.
