I remember you posting about half of these, familiar ones in there. I'd wager the most powerful ones for draft are Trooper, Hungering Drone, and the Mauler - Scholar's a bit overcosted. Hopewing is cool because I'm a sucker for flicker effects.
If you're introducing hybrid, there is little reason not to introduce twobrid alongside it. It's perfect Eldrazi flavour.
Already happening. It fits well with certain mechanics I'm thinking about. Still experimenting about how I want to cost/flavor twobrid before I show off some cards

I think Hopewing is probably the best in draft, so we've now covered 6/10

I primarily play limited, so most of my spoiler season comments view cards through that lens.
Best in draft is probably the 1/1 deathtouch. It will almost always trade and pick up tempo. Shepard, scholar, and mauler are notably worse than the rest and could probably all have a colorless taken off their mana cost.

Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.

The flavor on these is really, really good. There's something really evocative about your take on the Zendikar apocalypse.
I'm glad you like the flavor. I definitely like creating these cards.
My next major project is a custom set called Exodus of Zendikar, so your in luck if you want more cards like these.
