Burning Ideals3R
Enchantment (Rare)
Whenever you cast a red instant or sorcery spell, you may deal damage to target creature or player equal to the number of red mana symbols in that spell's mana cost. Those devoted to the ideals of fire find the fire in their hearts burn wild.
Over the course of MtG's long lifespan, there have been plenty of enchantments that have tried to help push damage through. Some of the most common are Furnace of Rath[/card, Spellshock, and Sulfuric Vortex. I wanted to do something similar but different, and this is what I ended up coming up with. It seems really strong, at first, but upon realization of some of the more powerful strategies in Red's lifespan; Lightning Rift, Pyromancer Ascension, etc; I have decided this card sits pretty well at the top of a red enchantment totem pole.
Sinking Sanity1UU
Enchantment (Rare)
Whenever an opponent casts a spell, that player reveals the top cards of his or her library until they reveal a land card, then puts all cards revealed this way into his or her graveyard.
I'm aware of Memory Erosion being a card, but when I look at them in comparison I think that it could have been a little stronger. For my set, I know blue usually rides the struggle bus with attempting to mill opponents. I think the land-based mill strategies might be some of their more aggressive versions. I think this card is fine.
Kalonian Packleader2GG
Creature - Beast (Uncommon)
When Kalonian Packleader enters the battlefield, look at the top five cards of your library. You may reveal any number of creature cards from among them and put the revealed cards into your hand. Put the rest on the bottom of your library in any order. It's ability to unite species across Shandalar cannot be explained.
3/3
Burning Ideals - It's interesting. I don't think it's too pushed. Honestly, I'm not even sure it'd see that much play, because it's only adding 1-2 damage to most spells. Compare to Sulfuric Vapors, which no one ever really played. Also, this needs to be slightly reworded as "you may have Burning Ideals deal damage". You can't do damage.
Sinking Sanity - It's a Grind version of Memory Erosion. I guess that's fair. Grind 4 approximately equals Mill 10. This will generally mill 1-3 cards.
Packleader - It's Lead the Stampede on a 2/2 body for G more. I honestly think you could push the body a bit more, maybe 3/3?
Trampling - Seems fine, maybe underpowered. Stampede Driver says that this could be a spell that costs 1G. Maybe as a sorcery?

All of your reasoning seems pretty fair. I'll apply some changes! Tell me what you think.

Lead the Stampede as a creature.
Trampling GG
Instant
Creatures you control get +1/+1 and gain trample until the end of the turn.
I've always loved Overrun and Stampede. This seemed like the perfect pushed common Stampede, considering Stampede is older than the hills.
