Festering Wound | 1B
Enchantment (U)
Bestow 2BB
At the beginning of your upkeep, target opponent loses 1 life.
Enchanted creature gets -2/-2 and has, "At the beginning of your upkeep, you lose 1 life."
Bestow can be used this way. In theros it was decided to use bestow only on enchantment creatures, but it could technically go on non creatures as well. This is kind of an interesting take on Stab Wound, though I'd probably want to test it to make sure it wasn't too demoralizing: with stab wound you could at least stem the bleeding.

"In the beginning, MTG Salvation switched to a new forum format.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move."
It was at that moment that I realized: I'm kinda just making these things up. We can just write the rules the way we want them to work. People will have fun, and people will get it.
Hm maybe a cleaner version with cleaner counterplay:
Festering Hex | 1B
Enchantment (U)
Bestow 2BB
At the beginning of your upkeep, each opponent that controls an enchanted creature loses 2 life.
Enchanted creature gets -2/-2.
On enchantments with <another card type>. Currently appears on enchantment creatures in THS:
Bestow 2BB(If you cast this spell for its bestow cost, it's an Aura spell with enchant creature. It becomes a/an <another card type> again if it's not attached to a creature.)
On enchantments without any other card types. Would appear on Bestow Takklemaggot:
Bestow 2BB(If you cast this spell for its bestow cost, it's an Aura spell with enchant creature. It is no longer an Aura if it's not attached to a creature.)
Do you see the similarities? As bestow currently is in the game, it's ambiguous whether the intention is to make the object bestow is on revert back to a creature or to revert back to the types it has on its original type line. It so happens that both options have the same result on all bestow creatures that have been currently printed, so the interpretation of bestow as a mechanic can go either way. This means that yes, if one so chooses, they can interpret bestow as reverting the object back to its original types rather than a creature and therefore make cards like Bestow Takklemaggot possible.
As for the card itself, I like it. Very clever use of bestow. The bestow cost might be a bit too low, though.

Isn't bestow currently a creature ability? Does it work with global enchantments?
When in doubt, call a judge.
Objectivist here. Hit me up to talk philosophy.
