I was chatting to a buddy of mine on skype about magic and we began discussing what sort of planeswalker we would be. I told another buddy of mine about what I came up with an 20 minutes later he sends me this:
Now I'm curious to know what planeswalker you guys would be, what are your effects??
Ninja_Bob :3mana::symu::symu:
+2: Put a loyalty counter on each other planeswalker you control.
-X: Search your library for a planeswalker with converted mana cost of X, reveal it, and put it into your hand.
-8: You get an emblem with "whenever a planeswalker enters the battlefield under your control, double the amount of loyalty counters on it."
Loyalty: 3

-1: Bearded Creatures you control get +1/+1 and have Lifelink
-6: You get an emblem that states, "Bearded Creatures you control have: Whenever this creature deals combat damage to an opponent, populate and gain 1 life; whenever this creature deals damage to an opponent, it deals double that damage instead."
PhantomLotus, Artificer2UW
Planeswalker - PhantomLotus +2: You may sacrifice an artifact you control. If you do, search your library for an artifact with CMC less than the sacrificed artifact's CMC and put it onto the battlefield. -X: Choose up to X target artifacts from any number of players' graveyards and put them onto the battlefield under your control. -12: You get an emblem with "As long as you control an artifact, you can't lose the game and your opponents can't win the game."
Starting Loyalty: 3
What an absolutely great thread! I'll have to have a serious think about this. In regards to your mate Bommah: that ultimate had me laughing hysterically!
Derenathor, Righteous Butt-Kicker1WR
Planeswalker - Derenathor 0: Put X loyalty on ~, where X is equal to target opponent's hand size minus your hand size. -3: At the beginning of your next upkeep, ~ deals 7 damage to target opponent unless they played two or more spells on their last turn. -10: ~ deals 60 damage to each player with no permanents on the field and seven or more cards in hand. This damage cannot be prevented and players cannot play spells or activate abilities as long as this ability is on the stack.
Starting loyalty: 2
_5480_, The Timmy Spike 3GW
Planeswalker - _5480_
+2: Look at the top 5 cards of your library. Reveal 1 creature card and put it into your hand and the rest to the bottom of library
0: Put a 1/4 colorless Human Avatar token with deathtouch and reach into the battlefield.
-1: Target creature you control fights target creature you don't control.
-12: Reveal all cards in your library. You gain life equal to the product of converted mana costs of all cards with non-zero converted mana. Then shuffle your graveyard and exile zone into your library. You gain hexproof for the rest of the game.

+2 Reveal the top 3 cards of your library put any artifacts in your hand the rest on the bottom of your library.
-2 Tinker
-15 put any number artifacts from your hand your library or any graveyard in to play under your control.
Syth counts as an artifact in addition to a walker.
3
GigaGuess, The Arbiter 2WU
Planeswalker - GigaGuess
+1 - Until your next turn, creatures get -1/-0.
-3 - Exile up to two target creatures. Return them to the battlefield under their owners' conrol at the beginning of the next upkeep.
-10 - You get an emblem with "Creatures can't attack you or planeswalkers you control unless they pay 2."
3
Travesty of FateWUB Planeswalker - Travesty
+1: Search target player's library for a nonland card and exile it.
-2: Spells you cast cost 2 less until end of turn.
-8: You get an emblem with "You may cast face-up cards from exile."
(4)
Yes, the ultimate is intended to screw with ALL exiled cards, not just ones exiled by the planeswalker. Bwahaha.
Two thoughts come to mind for cards that could represent me:
The first is an idea I've had for a long time of a future Unset card:
Spike, Master Competitor 2UW
Planeswalker - Spike
{+2} Target permanent gains protection from colorless and up to 1 color of your choice until end of turn.
{-1} Shuffle target permanent into its owner's library. If you do, its owner may draw up to 2 cards.
{-9} You get an emblem with: "You can't lose the game. Your opponents can't win the game. If the game would end in a draw, you win the match instead."
[4]
The last clause solidifies its Un-status whilst also being a subtle commentary on the idea of PW ults as win cons. (I made it "win the match" intentionally; this is part of the joke.)
EDIT: I decided that I wanted to have a triggered ability.
Edward, Chaos Master 1UBR
Planeswalker - Edward
When Edward, Chaos Master's has 1 or fewer loyalty counters on him, you get an emblem with "You have no maximum hand size".
{+1} Target player draws a card and loses 2 life.
{ 0 } Each opponent puts a 0/1 blue and red Weird creature token onto the battlefield. They have "You can't gain life. You lose all abilities."
{-2} Destroy target creature or artifact.
{-7} Edward Mass deals X damage to each opponent, where X is equal to their life total minus the number of cards in their hand.
[4]
I wanted so badly to be broken, but I think I just ended up being largely balanced. The emblem is one of my better pieces of design, and I really like the flavor of it. (I imagine WotC would allow it as printed, though.)
Varna4WBRR
As long as ~ or an activated ability of ~ is on the stack, players can't cast spells or activate abilities that aren't mana abilities.
[0]: Exile target permanent. Put X loyalty counters on ~, where X is that permanent's converted mana cost.
[-3]: ~ deals damage equal to the number of loyalty counters on it to any number of target creatures and/or players. The damage can't be prevented.
[-9]: Choose a card type. Exile all permanents of the chosen type.
[7]
Bly Dden-Rael2:symwu::symgw:
Planeswalker - Bly +1: Choose one — Put a 2/2 white and green Wolf creature token onto the battlefield; or put a 1/1 white and blue Bird creature token with flying onto the battlefield. 0: Tap or untap up to two target nonland permanents. -5: Put five 4/4 white Angel creature tokens with flying onto the battlefield. 3
Harper, Well of LifeGGWW
Plansewalker - Harper (M)
When even a creature enters the battlefield under your control, put a loyaty counter on ~
<-4>:Until your next upkeep if a creature you control would die regenerate it.
<-8>:You get an emblem with " Whenever a creature you control becomes tapped put a +1/+1 counter on it and gain 2 life."

Proud Father of a beautiful baby Girl as of 12-27-13.
Omenscrawl, Frenetic Oracle2UR Planeswalker - Omenscrawl
[+1] Scry 3.
[-2] Return target instant or sorcery card from your graveyard to you hand.
[-X] Exile the top X cards of your library. For each instant and sorcery card with converted mana cost X or less among them, you may cast that card without paying its mana cost. Then put all cards exiled this way that weren't cast into your graveyard.
Are we supposed to design this about what we are like in real life? Or the decks we like to play? Or the sort of repeated activated abilites we see the most? Or like how you would see yourself as some sort of superpowered fantasy psychopath?
I took it as a combination of the first couple. I am not a fighter. I avoid conflict. This leads to pillowfort like decks, or combo decks that just end with "win." Therefore I made a planeswalker that focuses on preventing combat.
Scypher the Pilgrim :1mana::symw::symb:
Planeswalker - Scypher [M]
/+1\: Put a 1/1 white Spirit creature token with flying onto the battlefield.
\-2/: Destroy target creature or enchantment.
\-6/: You get an emblem with "At the beginning of your upkeep, put target creature or enchantment card from a graveyard onto the battlefield under your control."
{3}
Scypher is my online game alias. Generally, when I get into an mmo or other role-playing game, I'll make a priest or cleric and opt to be a damage dealer and/or support. This lead to playing the named character in a few games of Dungeons and Dragons (or Pathfinder, more recently) as a wanderer, seeking out other forms of faith that are different from her own.
Daisy, Reaper of the Sown
Planeswalker - Daisy
{4}
/+2\: Choose a permanent type. Each player sacrifices a permanent of the chosen type.
\-3/: Gain control of target non-creature permanent.
\-10/: Exile the top ten cards of your library. Put each permanent card exiled in this way onto the battlefield tapped. You may cast each instant or sorcery spell exiled in this way without paying its mana cost until end of turn.
After, Market Radio :2mana::symg:
Planeswalker - After
<+1>: Wake up at 5 am to feed the dog.
<-1>: Step in dog poo.
<-5>: Track it through the house and all over your recently vacuumed carpet. Then, be late for work and try to maintain a level head as your boss laughs at you over the phone. Shuffle your library. Play this ability only every day of your life.
