Haha, interesting effect. This will help against a good number of cards, such as Treacherous Urge, and a few other where knowing what card you have matters. Interesting. No protest here

I doubt Jiskim's second ability could cost just 1 loyalty. That's akin to 7 turns of locking your opponent on turn 4, which is very, VERY absurd. I believe -3 is a better bet. No qualms on his last though.

@magac: Seems interesting but too powerful as an uncommon. You're basically hosing down token/weenie decks with one creature. Pair this with a Phantasmal Image and this just gets nutty. Don't get me wrong it's a cool concept but it seems too strong for just an uncommon.

I like the ides of this in black. It's a fast, "free" point of mana at the cost of a card in hand, which to me fits the color just as well as in either of the colors that already has this card for real.
Here's mine:
Beast Without / 1GG
Counter target spell. Its controller puts a 3/3 green Beast token onto the battlefield.
If there was ever a way to put a countering effect into green (and I'm not counting Avoid Fate, which I played the snot out of during TS Standard) I think this is it. It mirrors Beast Within but with the double-C cost typically assigned to a hard counter.

I don't quite like this variant. It doesn't (IMO) need the B, and Midnight Haunting is almost always going to be better, unless you have a serious over abundance of lands later in the game.

*Side effects may include: violent death, thoughts of planar destruction, insanity, loss of friends, slow suicide, loss of soul, and an insatiable case of the munchies.
Countermagic is the smell before rain, the sun on the horizon and the chocolate chips in my mint chocolate chip ice cream. It's the first time I saw a woman naked and the first time I smelled perfume. It's that feeling you get when you know you're right.
But most of all; it's the feeling of playing Magic
There is a lot of stuff going on here, and without context of flavor here's my thoughts:
1) Find a word other than arcane. See the Japanese flavored block for why.
2) Ditch the enchantment type. Unless there's compelling flavor it makes the land both too fragile (ever color has a way to disrupt it, but shouldn't be forced to) and too strong (being legendary, an enchantment and a land sorta forces this to mythic status; it also gives it more types to fool around with in terms of tutoring/reanimation/etc).
3) If it's not an enchantment-land there's no reason for it to be legendary.
4) There's no reason to enter play tapped either.
So what you get is much stronger and weaker at the same time:

Seems powerful. Attack once, get a token. Even if your creature dies, you can equip the lantern to the token and keep attacking. If your opponent can't block the flyer, even better. Avacyn's Collar does something similar, but only triggers when the creature dies (so its not ridiculous if you attach it to an evasive beater) and only works on humans (so it doesn't chain tokens).
