As an additional cost to cast metalmorphose sacrifice an artifact.
Search your library for an artifact card, exile it, then shuffle your library.
You may cast the exiled card any time you could cast a sorcery by paying it's converted mana cost minus x.
Metalmorphose exists, its called Reshape. Very subtle difference.
Why couldn't X be zero in Magic Drain? You could use it to counter, say, a Memnite and get no mana back. That does not sound broken.
I think it wouldn't be broken if it costed one less blue mana...
The newest version of Drain we have seen is Scattering Stroke which has a hard to determine powerlevel.
Your last card seems fine. I would not make it exile the card you cast, but instead Will of Shadows itself.
Like:
"Until end of turn, you may cast target card in your graveyard. Exile Will of Shadows."
That does not lend itself to any kind of exploit, and it's easier to track.
And yes, these cards have been redone a million times by WotC.
