Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.
[thread=239793][Game] Level Up - Creature[/thread]
As a common creature that can remove up to three creatures, I'm sure it would at least see some love in limited. Which is where it's meant to be, anyway.
Altar of Progress is my favorite. I don't quite get why the Overseer proliferates, in relation to its "original" form.

Pretty sure no one would play it anyway. If you wanted that card, you'd remove the creature from the equation.
Well, how can either of us possibly determine if the card is playable in limited or not without knowing what the actual limited environment is? If anything it's getting less theoretical.
Edit: I admit that there are some basic things that are generally always true about limited play, so I guess there are some conclusions that can be drawn, unless the goal is to make a set that specifically bucks those traditions like Rise of the Eldrazi.
Well of course you'd rather play Skinrender. But you won't always get Skinrender passed to you. The point of limited is that you won't always be able to use exactly what you want, only what you can choose from what's given to you. The dissolver would likely not be a high pick at all but it is removal for someone who needs more of it late in the pack.

Finally a good white villain quote: "So, do I ever re-evaluate my life choices? Never, because I know what I'm doing is a righteous cause."
