Yeah its weird, but It might work well with some odd flash synergies.
Chorus of Nightmares2BBB
Sorcery - (MR)
As an additional cost to play Chorus of Nightmares, pay half your life rounded up.
Put X 2/2 black Nightmare creature tokens onto the battlefield, where X is the amount of life paid to cast Chorus of Nightmares.
I really like the way this has tested, and i'm not sure if its balanced.
Against All Odds4R
Instant - (U)
Target blocked creature gets +5/+5, is indestructible, and gains trample until end of turn.
(EDIT.) Target blocked creature gets +5/+0, first strike, and trample until end of turn.
Is this costed right? Balanced as a combat trick?
Novawing Crasher(2/R)(2/R)(2/R)
Creature - Dragon (R or MR)
Haste, flying. (2/R): Novawing Crasher gets +1/+0 until end of turn.
4/4
My own personal Baneslayer.
Amphibious Spellbeast1GG
Creature - Beast (R)
Islandwalk
Whenever an opponent casts a blue spell, put a +1/+1 counter on Amphibious Spellbeast.
2/3
Just a blue hoser.
Forget Humanity9BBR
Instant - (MR) (edit: Sorcery)
Affinity for creatures (This spell costs 1 less to play for each creature you control.)
Target creature gets +8/+0 and gains haste until end of turn, destroy all other creatures.
Now this is pure flavor, and i'm wondering if it is balanced.
Help me out here and do some critiquing of my cards
Thanks!
Perplex is likely the epitome of janky one mana counters. Also, Perplex is already a card, and a more useful counter.
I think Chorus of Nightmares would be a strong card, but not broken. However, it could be very strong in formats with better black mana acceleration. In fact it could be argued that its better in most situations then the suicide black powerhouse Hatred. That said, I don't know if Hatred is actually used frequently in the eternal formats anymore, so this card is probably fine.
Against All Odds is completely green. +X/+X, indestructibility, and trample are effects that all predominately appear in green.
Novawing and Amphibious Spellbeast are missing p/t
Forget Humanity is too good. Its an instant speed wrath that lets you keep around your beatstick around while buffing it and gets cheaper with each creature in play.
Purplex: Well, this card purplexes me. I'm not a master of advanced tactics in magic so I'm not sure whether you select a target for a card when it enters the stack (which would make this card useless) or when it actually resolves (in which case some weird combo may exist). I'll assume it's the latter.
That said, how do you view this spell being used? I'm not sure that I'm seeing the synergy.
Chorus of Nightmares: So this card gives you the potential resources to deal your entire life total as damage. If you play this on turn 5 after a damnation on turn 4, your opponent will be in some pretty big trouble. A good mythic rare
Against all Odds: Why even give the target +5 toughness if it's indestructable anyways? I guess that the card is balanced but it doesn't seem that... red.
Most cards like it in red would likely give a creature something more like +5/+0, first strike, and trample. Again, though, it's balanced as is and is servicable as a combat trick.
As for the rarity, I've got nothing. It seems like alot for an uncommon but a bit pricey for a rare. Maaaybe lower the price to 3R.
Novawing Crasher: You forgot the power and toughness. I'll assume that it's intended as a 2/2, making it a better furnace whelp that gives the gift of... dragon... to decks of all colors.
Amphibious Spellbeast: Again, missing the p/t. Seems like it should be a 1/1, 2/2 max. Decent work with this card.
Forget Humanity: So the basic gist of it is that you tap out all your mana for a single free shot at your opponent (barring combat tricks on their part) with your strongest creature (which gets a +8/+0 bonus).
Seems like a decent game-ending card.
Edit: Wait, no. An instant-speed wrath of god is a bit too powerful.

You need to use shenanigans like Quicken... And I actually cannot think of any other cards that will allow you to make this counter usable. It is worse jank than Moonlace.
Perplex - its been done, and it wasn't that "clever" then either. If you can find a way to quicken it for less than 1U (difference from cancel) then good for you, very few people will want to waste more than 1 card for a counter.
-sorry mis read against all odds-
both creatures need p/t

"In the beginning, MTG Salvation switched to a new forum format.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move."
It was at that moment that I realized: I'm kinda just making these things up. We can just write the rules the way we want them to work. People will have fun, and people will get it.
Sorry about forgetting p/t, i edited them into the first post.
My personal opinion on forget humanity is that if you have a ton of creatures its gonna cost less, but then you lose more, so it is kinda balanced that way, kinda. It probably should be sorcery speed though.

Bewilder can't counter anything unless you use Quicken, which is kind of silly. (Sorceries can only be cast when the stack is empty, which means there won't be any spells to target....)
Chorus of Nightmares = Neat! I like that the creatures are 2/2s, effectively doubling the investment of life.
Against all Odds = Would be fine at 2R, I think.
Amphibious Spellbeast = Looks good.
Novawing is too powerful. A 4/4 for 3? With Flying AND Haste? Way too strong. A 2/2 seems about right. Or a 3/3 for :sym2r::sym2r::sym2r::sym2r:.
Forget Humanity is ridunculous. Too strong. Maybe Affinity for Black and/or Red Creatures?
Against works better in its second incarnation, but it still only seems medicore. The name is white, not red.
Flabbergast is an interesting uncommon.
Chorus is cool. A great high-power black spell. Definatly the most balanced and therefore best out of these cards.
Spellbeast is funky colour hate. I like the basic principle, but in practice it never works as well as it seems it should. If you made it slightly weaker (or more expensive somehow) it would work as a strong uncommon, but I'd leave it as is.
Sorcery (R)
