Welcome to the May Photoshop Contest! The theme this month is... Be The Card! Welcome to the May Photoshop Contest! This month you, the participant, will be taking on the task of digitally inputting YOURSELF into any Magic card of your choice! Here's your opportunity to be a Shivan Dragon, Royal Assassin, or even a Planeswalker. Maybe a spell is your type of thing? Implant yourself in a circle of evil clerics casting Hymn to Tourach. The choice is yours, but remember that the more creative you are the better your chnaces. I'm looking for something more than your face on a random mage's body. Good luck!
I mean, hell, we're all on a forum for something that most people would describe as a "children's card game"...do what makes you happy. You are never too old to enjoy yourself.
PolarBearGod, awesome contest! this is gonna be so cool. The potential is redic! hope people have some kickass stuff
Why thank you Warden. I'm glad you like it. I hope to have at least 10 entries for this contest and I believe I will. I myself may even give this one a go.
Just so everyone is aware, you don't HAVE to render a card of yourself. Just make sure that your work is easy to define what card you are. Good luck to all!:)

Just to everyone, this has nothing to do with the contest, just something I stumbled across while looking for inspiration.
My friends and I are really in love with British comedy, so when this one sketch appeared on a show, I had to make a spoof-card.
This is a Youtube link to that specific sketch:http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/newreply.php?do=postreply&t=112767
It’s worth a look if you like British humor.

Very different from your profile pic...is there a large time gap or something?
Also, imho, there's something wierd about where the skull overlaps your hair, doesn't look right, but still superbly executed.
I've got to get mine in.
Thanks. the hair was the hardest part, and actually uses the same pic twice because I cropped it by accident. I do like how I blended the artwork and my own hair at the bottom tho. As for the difference in pictures, the profile picture is from around this time in 2006 while this one is from last week. I look basically the same when I shave tho. Aka. still in my teens..
Unless i magically pull my submission out of thin air, i doubt i'll get something in. But it's possible. If we got a one day extension [so Mon is the due date] then that would be A-Okay.
These two month ideas were great, just it's starting to conflict with school/work for some people.
I know what you mean Kaldra.. One of the other letter carriers had his dad die and I had previous appointments, plus sheer laziness. So I'm struggling to get the artwork piece started/done..
I am a bit of a perfectionist at the worst times..

Can we "alter" our image to perhaps match a card art style? Like artistically change the image to match...say, a painting medium or acrylics?
I (and others for this reason) may want to "blend into the art" on a more realistic level -- rather than stand out
RedDwarfian, thats awesome man

Warden: I don't know about the official ruling, but I would say that that is the spirit of the contest. Look at RavniKar's entry too.
Brains...
That would be acceptable as long as you don't distort the card too much.

I am a bit of a perfectionist at the worst times..
The only card i could find that had a similair expression [or lack thereof] and angle as my pic.]
My other attempts were lurebound Scarecrow and Ghastlord of Fugue.
Yay for embarrasment. Btw: The angle is off, which is why it looks weird. Couldn't get the shadows stark enough w/o ruining the pic.
No my eyes are not that blue, i did that on purpose.
