A few years back there were foil alterers that could print a picture on thin foil and alter a real card to be foil, like this picture from alteredprints.
What happened to them? io got a few cards done and want to get more. Any help?
I dont think its illegal
Likewise, foil sticker paper would work to. I just want my OG Duals to match the BFZE in my edh decks.
I suggest that you check out an auction website and do a search for something like "mtg foil altered art". They are still out there and there are people who are willing to take custom orders, if that is what you are after.
They are illegal. And as a result we cannot allow this conversation to continue. Thread locked. - ZS
//EDIT: To clarify further, these alters are illegal because they are using artwork & design elements that are owned by Wizards of the Coast but are not made by them or with their permission. And because these are stickers covering the entire card (rather than simply enhancing what's already there as painted alters do) WOTC considers them counterfeit cards because they can be placed over completely blank foils.

No idea if it is legal, but happy hunting.
